This week's NXT saw The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Semi Finals, with the winners advancing to the Finals taking place at NXT Takeover: Toronto the night before WWE Survivor Series. Ember Moon battled Rachel Evers one on one. Samoa Joe and NXT World Champion Shinsuke Nakamura had a contract signing, making their NXT World Championship Match at NXT Takeover: Toronto official.

- "Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Match": Authors of Pain vs. DIY (Ciampa and Gargano): The match closes out with Gargano landing a german suplex on Rezar for a near fall. Ciampa and Gargano go for the double team, but Rezar slams both men and gets a near fall on Gargano. Ciampa and Gargano counter a double power bomb by AOP and score with their double team finisher. Paul Ellering distracts the referee and stops DIY from gaining the pinfall. The Revival hit the ring and lay out Gargano while the referee is still distracted by Ellering. AOP hit their double team finisher The Last Chapter and score the pinfall.Winners: Authors of Pain, by pinfall, to advance to the Finals.
- An earlier taped promo is aired with Tye Dillinger. Dillinger talks about his match at NXT Takeover: Toronto against Bobby Roode and promises that Toronto will be a "Perfect Ten City".
- "Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Match": SAnitY (Fulton and Wolfe) vs. TM-61 (Thorne and Miller): The match closes out with Thorne countering a move, making Wolfe accidentally hit Fulton. Miller, who was beat down and taken out of the match earlier, finally tags in and unloads on SAnitY. SAnitY regains control and drags Miller into their corner. SAnitY go for their double team finisher, but Thorne arrives and lands a drop kick, breaking things up. Miller hits a jack knife bomb into a cradle and scores the pinfall.Winners: TM-61, by pinfall, to advance to the Finals.
- NXT GM William Regal announces that due to The Revival costing DIY their match earlier tonight, The Revival will defend their NXT World Tag Team Championship against DIY at NXT Takeover: Toronto, in a 2 Out of 3 Falls Match.
- A interview with Bobby Roode from earlier in the day is shown. Roode says it's Tye Dillinger fault that they lost in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament and Tye is an embarrassment to the Dusty Rhodes name. Roode says Tye is not a perfect ten, he's a perfect loser.
- Ember Moon vs. Rachel Evers: The match closes out with Ember missing a springboard cross body and Rachel capitalizes with a gut wrench power bomb. Ember fires back, lands a side kick to Rachel's head and then hits a roll through forearm. Ember hits the O Face Stunner on Rachel and scores the pinfall.Winner: Ember Moon, by pinfall. - Samoa Joe vs. Shinsuke Nakamura NXT World Championship Contract Signing: NXT GM William Regal and Shinsuke Nakamura are present in the ring with NXT Security. Samoa Joe arrives with his own table and chair, sits on the NXT stage and refuses to join everyone in the ring. Joe says he would be angry if he was Japan's biggest star and gets beat down weekly in NXT like Nakamura. Joe next demands Regal to bring him the contract to sign. Regal brings the contract, Joe signs it and then throws it at Regal's feet for him to pick up. Regal returns and Nakamura looks at the contract before attacking and laying out all the NXT Security guys. Nakamura power bombs a security guy through the table, signs the contract and then drops the contract on the security guys chest. Nakamura and Joe have a stare down as more NXT Security guys arrive to hold back Joe.
