Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 3.31.15: #RAW Recap

By @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. It's the RAW recap from last night's show.

- RAW took place this week in San Jose, California. And it's the huge night after Wrestlemania RAW, which is usually a pretty good show. Hopefully WWE lives up to this.

- In Ring Segment With Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman: Heyman talks about how Lesnar took Roman Reigns to "suplex city, bitch". Heyman says he could take legal action on Seth Rollins, for the way he inserted himself into the World Title match, but Lesnar wants to invoke his rematch clause instead. Stephanie McMahon arrives and is happy about the way Wrestlemania turned out. Steph says Rollins is on his way to the arena soon, after appearing on the Today Show and is sure he'll be up for the challenge. Heyman promises that Lesnar will deliver a beating and be called champion again.

- "WWE Intercontinental Championship Match": Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler: Bryan hits a belly-to-back superplex on Ziggler for a near fall. Bryan misses a stiff kick and gets rolled up for a near fall. Bryan goes for the "Yes Lock", but Ziggler counters with a jack knife cover, for a near fall. Ziggler hits a super kick and falls on top of Bryan, but gets a near fall. Bryan and Ziggler exchange punches and head butts, until Bryan finally hits the flying knee. Bryan covers and scores the pinfall. Daniel Bryan retains the I-C Title.

- After the match: Bad News Barrett attacks Bryan and goes for the "Bullhammer", but.........Sheamus' music hits and the Celtic Warrior returns. Sheamus, however, "Brogue Kicks" Bryan, then hits "White Noise" and a "Brogue Kick" on Ziggler.

- "8 Man Tag Team Match": Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Konnor, and Viktor vs. Kalisto, Sin Cara, Big E, and Kofi Kingston: Kidd sends Kofi flying into a Cesaro european uppercut. Viktor blind tags in and gets inside cradled by Kofi for a near fall. Kalisto hits a springboard corkscrew and a head scissors driver. Big E with a belly-to-belly on Cesaro and Kidd. Kalisto ends up hitting "Salida Del Sol" to score the pinfall.

- Backstage, Brock Lesnar paces back and forth, until Paul Heyman says "He's Here".

- "WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match": Seth Rollins (c) vs. Brock Lesnar: Rollins says he's jet lagged and his foot hurts from "Curb Stomping" Lesnar and Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. Stephanie McMahon gave him the okay to give Lesnar his rematch some other time. Lesnar clotheslines Rollins and goes for the german suplex, but Rollins lands on his feet and hits an enzuiguri. Lesnar doesn't flinch and takes down Rollins. Lesnar takes out Mercury and Noble, as Rollins escapes into the crowd and runs for his life. Lesnar goes crazy, throws Mercury and Noble over the announcers table, gives Michael Cole an "F5", then sets up a camera man for an "F5". Stephanie McMahon orders Lesnar to put down the camera man. Lesnar lays out the camera man with the "F5", anyway, and Steph announces that Lesnar is suspended indefinitely. Lesnar hits another "F5" on a WWE official as he walks out.

- Backstage, Stephanie says she had no choice but to suspend Lesnar, Lesnar will be fined, he'll get his rematch when she says so now and that three year contract he signed, means that she owns the son of a bitch.

- Damien Sandow vs. Stardust: Back and forth match. Stardust gets in some kicks, punches and a gourdbuster. Sandow returns with a hiptoss and hits the "Skull Crushing Finale". Sandow covers and scores the pinfall.

- After the match: The Miz attacks Sandow and lays him out with the "Skull Crushing Finale".

- In Ring Segment With Curtis Axel: The whole roster is jealous of Axelmania, it took 29 guys to eliminate him in last night's battle royal and the road to "Axtreme Rules" begins now.

- Adrian Neville vs. Curtis Axel: Neville hits a forearm, some kicks, a running boot and a running European uppercut. Neville slams Axel, climbs the ropes and hits "Red Arrow", to score the pinfall.

- In Ring Segment With John Cena: The Champ Is Here!! Cena says the crowd doesn't get the credit they deserve, he'll never run from a fight and will defend the U.S. Title against the first person to come get some. Out comes Dean Ambrose.

- "WWE United States Championship Match": John Cena (c) vs. Dean Ambrose: Cena hits the "AA", but Ambrose kicks out. Cena applies the "STF", but Ambrose makes it to the ropes. Cena goes for another "AA", but Ambrose counters into Cena's own "STF". Cena escapes, but gets hit with "Dirty Deeds". Cena kicks out and begins exchanging punches with Ambrose. Ambrose hits a cross body, but Cena rolls through and hits an "AA" on Ambrose. Cena covers and scores the pinfall. John Cena retains the U.S. Title.

- Backstage, Seth Rollins says Brock Lesnar got what he deserved and he hopes he gets a hefty fine. Randy Orton appears and reminds Rollins of how Orton beat him at Wrestlemania and Orton never did get his WWE World Title rematch. Kane and Big Show arrive. Rollins gives Orton to the end of the night to find two guys to team with Orton for their main event tag match.

- "6 Diva Tag Match": A.J. Lee, Paige, and Naomi vs. Nattie Neidhart and The Bellas: Naomi hits a cross body. Nikki Irish whips Naomi, but Naomi counters and goes for the "Rear End". Nikki counters that with the Alabama Slam. Nattie suplexes Paige. Naomi hits the "Rear View" and scores the pinfall.

- Backstage, Ryback offers to team with Randy Orton because it's feeding time on The Authority.

- Goldust vs. Rusev: Rusev destroys Goldust with kicks, punches, forearms and by choking Goldust. Rusev hits the thrust kick and applies "The Accolade" submission, forcing Goldust to tap out.

- "6 Man Tag Team Match": Seth Rollins, Kane, and Big Show vs. Randy Orton, Ryback, and Roman Reigns: Reigns goes for the "Superman Punch", but Show stops him. Reigns gets thrown towards Kane, but hits Kane with the "Superman Punch". Ryback hits the "Shell Shock" on Show. Rollins dodges a Reigns spear. Orton hits the "RKO" on Kane, setting Kane up to get speared by Reigns. Reigns covers and scores the pinfall. The good guys celebrate as RAW closes out.

And that's a wrap on this week's RAW results, till next time tap or snap.

Leadoff with Lee 3.31.15 #Browns #Indians #Cavs #Packers

By @cleeverizon

- On Monday, the NFL handed Ray Farmer and the Browns their severe punishment for "Text-Gate". Farmer will receive a non-paid four game suspension and the Browns will be fined $250K. The suspension will start on midnight of the Sunday before the Browns' first regular-season game and will end immediately after the Browns' fourth regular season game. Many thought, including myself, that the Browns would lose draft picks as well. But since the text messages were not made to gain a competitive edge, the teams' punishment was only monetary. This was easily the best case scenario the Browns could have imagined. I'm under the assumption the Browns knew what the outcome was going to be since NFL meetings last week. Did you notice how the NFL released it's statement about the punishment, followed by a statement by the team? So the Browns are free and clear of all the scandal and issues right? WRONG! There also could be fines handed down against Cleveland for its roles in unapproved NFL activities. These activities are the result of how the team handled it's own free agents and free agents that they wanted to sign. Another announcement is expected today.

- Former Browns receiver Miles Austin signed a 1-year, $2.3M contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Austin's salary could reach $3M as he has $700K worth of bonus incentives available.

- The Atlanta Falcons will lose a 2016 5th round draft pick and be fined $350K for piping crowd noise into the Georgia Dome during home games the past 2 seasons. Falcons President Rich McKay will be suspended from the NFL's competition committee from April 1st to at least June 30th for failing to ensure the team complied with NFL rules. After the June 30th date, McKay can apply for reinstatement to the competition committee.

- Defensive tackle BJ Raji and the Green Bay Packers have agreed to terms for a 1-year, $3.5M contract. Raji missed the entire 2014 season with a torn right bicep. Raji will also transition back to his original position of nose tackle this season.

- The Indians 2015 starting pitching rotation is set. Last years Cy Young winner Corey Kluber will be the opening day starter. Followed by Carlos Carrasco, Trevor Bauer, Zack McAllister and TJ House.

Opening day lineup should be as follows:
1. Michael Bourne
2. Jose Ramirez
3. Michael Brantley
4. Carlos Santana
5. Brandon Moss
6. Yan Gomes
7. Jason Kipnis
8. Nick Swisher
9. Lonnie Chisenhall.

- What do the Cavs want to do? Rest starters and get the 3-6 matchup in the playoffs? Or maybe play the starters and fight for the 2-7 matchup? With 7 games left, it makes sense for the Cavs to start resting the guys and get them ready for the playoffs. There is no need for the team to risk fatigue and injury heading into a post season run. Even though the Cavs don't play until Thursday of this week, if a injury would happen to Shumpert or Mozgov, that would be a HUGE blow to the team. And at this point the talent pool is little none and who knows what the Canton Charge players could offer.

- WWE have officially announced their partnership with Tapout. Tapout will be WWE's official fitness and training partner and will be promoted across all WWE shows and pay per views.

- Fans of the yearly WWE Slammy Awards, can now enjoy the yearly award show at the beginning of the year, instead of the end of the year. WWE wants to show their award show during the same time frame that other popular award shows are aired on tv.

- Triple H will have a special ring introduction at Wrestlemania 31 when he faces Sting. Sources have said, it will involve special imagery, that will be promoting Arnold Schwarzenegger's new movie, Terminator: Genysis.

- It was announced on Thursday that the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is being moved to the pre-show, just before Wrestlemania 31.

- Hideo Itami won a tournament in NXT, earning him a spot in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Itami, will be the only NXT superstar in the battle royal.

- WWE announced that after Wrestlemania, there will be major changes made to the Divas Division. The #GiveDivasAChance trend on Twitter have opened the company's eyes and would like to use their Diva talent more.

- WWE will be releasing a Jerry "The King" Lawler DVD in May. The list of matches to be included can be found HERE.

*** TNA News and Rumors ***

- TNA is releasing a "Best of Sting" DVD. Which is quite odd, considering Sting is on the WWE roster.

- TNA struck a new tv deal to allow TNA Impact to be shown in Brazil.

- This past week on TNA, Drew Galloway, debuted his new faction, to feud with The Beat Down Clan. Galloway's stable have named themselves The Rising. The faction includes former WWE Superstar, Camacho, now going by the name Myka, in TNA. The faction also includes former NXT talent, Shaun Ricker, who'll go by the name Eli Drake, in TNA

*** GFW News and Rumors ***

- Rumors are stating that Jeff Jarrett has been booking wrestlers for an August 22nd GFW show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

- Jeff Jarrett posted the following YouTube video on his Twitter page:

*** Other Wrestling News ***

- Rey Mysterio, has been receiving death threats from the wrestling fans in Mexico. Last weekend, Perro Aguayo Jr., passed away at a nearby hospital, after his tag match, which included Mysterio. By @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. It's this week's TNA Impact recap edition.

- This week's Impact was taped inside TNA's old stomping grounds, The Impact Zone, in Orlando, Florida.

- In Ring Segment With James Storm: Storm is accompanied by Khoya. Storm climbs the steel cage that's set up, with a mic in hand. Storm smashes a watermelon everywhere. Storm says that's what happened to everyone's hero, Jeff Hardy. Hardy interrupts and says no one has ever hurt him that bad before, but he's still standing, he'll kick Storm's ass and the time for waiting is over. Manik attacks Hardy from behind but Hardy hits the "Twist of Fate" on Manik. Abyss is out next and attacks, but gets taken out by Hardy. Hardy says no one is helping Storm tonight as the segment ends.

- "TNA X-Division Championship Match": Rockstar Spud (c) vs. Low Ki: MVP distracts the referee, allowing Kenny King to hit Spud from behind. Drew Galloway appears and gets the BDC distracted, allowing Spud to roll Ki up and score the pinfall. Spud retains the TNA X-Division Title.

- In Ring Segment With The Beat Down Clan: MVP says Drew Galloway isn't playing by the rules, he cost Low Ki his match and they're not about playing games. Drew Galloway appears and says he's standing up instead of laying down, there's a movement on the rise and he's not alone. Two guys by the names of Shaun Ricker and Tevita Fefita appear and stand with Galloway, announcing themselves as The Rising.

- Brooke Tessmacher vs. Awesome Kong: Brooke goes to the top rope and leaps at Kong. Kong catches Brooke and choke slams her. Kong hits the "Implant Buster" on Brooke and scores the pinfall.

After the match: Kong hits another "Implant Buster", then tries to slam Brooke through a table. Taryn Terrell attacks Kong, but Terrell gets tossed into the barricade by Kong. Terrell lands a forearm, a drop kick and hits a middle rope drop kick. Terrell sends Kong to the floor and follows. Terrell, however, gets tossed into the steel steps, then power bombed through a table by Kong.

- Backstage, Jeff Hardy gets attacked by Khoya. Hardy beats Khoya with a ladder, and smashes four beer bottles over Khoya's head.

- In Ring Segment With Kurt Angle: Angle says his World Title win ment the most to him, due to his long road through injuries. Ethan Carter III interrupts Angle with a mic in hand. EC3 reminds us that he is 18 months undefeated, once beat Kurt Angle and will be winning the title next. Bobby Roode is out next and says he had the title stolen from him and he wants it back. Eric Young is out next and says he stole the title from Roode. Austin Aries arrives and says he controls everyone's fate with his Feast or Fired briefcase. Angle says he'll fight everyone, just name the time and place. Angle leaves the ring and gets cut off by Bobby Lashley, who demands his rematch first, which Angle accepts. Angle and Lashley brawl as referees try to separate them. Meanwhile, EC3, EY and Tyrus attack Roode and Aries until Mr. Anderson hits the ring and makes the save.

- "6 Man Tag Team Match": Eric Young, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus vs. Austin Aries, Mr. Anderson and Bobby Roode: Roode hits a spine buster on EY. Aries goes for a 450 splash off the top rope, but EY moves, causing Aries to miss. EY applies the figure four leg lock and eventually makes Aries tap out.

- In Ring Segment With Bram: Bram calls Magnus a coward and says Mickie James is more of a man than Magnus is. Bram gets interrupted by Magnus and Mickie as he starts to talk about their son. Magnus, Mickie and Bram all trade verbal insults with each other, until Magnus charges the ring. Bram takes down Magnus, then tries to make Mickie kiss his boot. Magnus grabs the turn buckle rod and beats Bram with it. Mickie also gets in a few shots, before Bram retreats.
