Inside the Batter's Box: #Indians vs. #Royals Recap

By @B_Rock1978

The Indians were back home this week to start a two series, seven game set. The Tribe kicked off their first series with three games against the 2014 American League Champion, Kansas City Royals. Unique about this series was all three games had a 6:10 start time. The Indians are trying to aim at having more family oriented baseball games, by having the games start at 6:10, instead of the normal 7:05 times. The Indians feel that by starting the games an hour early, it would make families more likely to bring their kids to a Tribe game and not have to worry about it ending too late in the evening, on a school night.

Unfortunately for the Tribe, during this new experiment, it probably didn't make families want to rush down to the stadium, as the Tribe still can't find a way to win a series against a division opponent.

In game one, thing's got off to a rough start for the Tribe, as ace Corey Kluber, gave up an infield single to Omar Infante, in the second inning. Shortstop Jose Ramirez, botched the ball, but it was ruled a single for Infante. Eric Hosmer sent a line drive single into left field in the third inning and KC was up 2-0. Bottom of the fifth, the Tribe get back in the game, as Mike Aviles sends a two run homer into the seats, tying the game 2-2. KC's Alex Gordon doubles in the top of the sixth and KC is back on top 3-2. Top of the seventh is when KC put things away on the Tribe. Mike Moustakas picks up an RBI single. Kendrys Morales sends a infield hit to third baseman Mike Aviles, who makes an error and allows a run to score. Alex Gordon picks up another RBI single and KC ends the seventh with a 6-2 lead.

W: Jason Vargas 2-1 (KC)
L: Corey Kluber 0-3 (Cle)

Game two, Alex Gordon was at it again. Gordon hits a solo shot in the second inning, putting KC up 1-0. The Tribe fires back in the bottom half of the second, as Michael Bourn drives in two on a single. Tribe up 2-1. Top of the fourth, Omar Infante ties the game at 2 with an RBI single. Top of the sixth, KC goes up 3-2, as Alex Gordon delivers another RBI, this time on a single. Bottom of the sixth, Brandon Moss jacks a three run homer into the seats and the Tribe are alive 5-3. KC comes back from the dead in the top of the seventh, by scoring six runs on the Tribe. Alcides Escobar brings in two with a double. Mike Moustakas singles in an RBI. Kendrys Morales sends a three run dinger into the seats and KC is up 9-5. Salvador Perez and Omar Infante both single in RBI's in the top of the ninth and KC goes on to win 11-5.

W: Brandon Finnegan 1-0 (KC)
L: Scott Atchisan 0-1 (Cle)

Game three, Kendrys Morales struck in the top half of the first with a 2 RBI single. The Tribe fire back in the bottom of the third, as Jason Kipnis crushes a three run shot, putting the Indians up 3-2. Eric Hosmer steps up in the top of the sixth and jacks a two run shot, putting KC back up 4-3. The Indians come right back in the bottom half of the sixth and score three runs. Jason Kipnis delivered an RBI grounder. Michael Bourn and Roberto Perez both doubled in RBI's. Tribe go up 6-4 after six. Bottom of the eighth, Roberto Perez tacks on another run for the Tribe, with a solo shot, making it 7-4. Indians closer, Cody Allen, takes the mound in the ninth and gives up an RBI single to Omar Infante. Allen calms down an is able to slam the door and avoid the KC sweep. Tribe escapes with the 7-5 win.

W: Danny Salazar 3-0 (Cle)
L: Yordano Ventura 2-2 (KC)
S: Cody Allen 4 (Cle)

So the Tribe drop two of three to the Kansas City Royals and continue to struggle against their divisional teams. At least we didn't get swept, right? The Tribe move on to the Toronto Blue Jays for a four game weekend set! #RollTribe

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 4.28.15: #RAW Recap

By @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, brings you the RAW recap.

- This week's RAW took place in Green Bay, Wisconsin. RAW served as the aftermath of the chaos that was Extreme Rules. We begin our journey towards the next pay per view, WWE Payback, in just a few short weeks.

- In Ring Promo with Seth Rollins: Rollins brags about winning at Extreme Rules, is a fighting champion and thanks Kane for doing what was best for business. Rollins calls Kane the Crypt Keeper, pissing off Kane. Kane says if it wasn't for him then Randy Orton would be out here right now the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Rollins would be whining like a spoiled brat and he'd rather be the Crypt Keeper then the WWE's Justin Bieber. Kane and Rollins argue more, as Randy Orton interrupts. Rollins tells Orton he squandered his title shot and Orton calls Rollins Catwoman, and tells him to shut up. Roman Reigns interrupts and declares himself the last man standing. Reigns says he buried The Authority's giant and says he should be next for a title shot. Kane announces that the WWE Universe will vote on Rollins' next opponent for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Kane also announces that he and Rollins will face Reigns and Orton later.

- "King Of The Ring Match": Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett: Barrett goes for the "Bullhammer", but Ziggler counters with a super kick. Sheamus appears with a mic and says that there was a full irish moon last night and shows the picture.
Barrett hits Ziggler with the "Bullhammer" on the distraction and scores the pinfall.

- Big E vs. Tyson Kidd: Xavier Woods claps and tries to get a "New Day Rocks" chant going, but the fans chant "New Day Sucks". Kidd hits a springboard drop kick on Big E and unloads in the corner. Kidd hits another kick on Big E. Big E hits a clothesline and makes a cover. Big E scores the pinfall after Woods holds down Kidd's leg.

- Ryback vs. Bo Dallas: Dallas hits a clothesline, lands some punches on Ryback and gets a near fall. Dallas applies a headlock, but gets slammed by Ryback. Ryback hits the "Meat Hook" and "Shell Shock" to score the pinfall.

- After the Match: Bray Wyatt appears in the ring and targets Ryback. Bray lays Ryback out with "Sister Abigail" and taunts Ryback after.

- In Ring Promo with John Cena: Cena wonders how Lana got Rusev a rematch for the WWE United States Championship so quick. Cena says he won't quit in their "I Quit Match" because he'd let too many people down. Cena opens the United States Championship open challenge and out comes Heath Slater.

- "WWE United States Championship Match: John Cena (c) vs. Heath Slater: Slater gets attacked from behind by Rusev. Rusev thrust kicks Slater right off the stage and then yells at Lana to leave. - After the Match: Rosa says she is still in shock that Fandango dumped her. But she found a real man and makes out with Rose.

- Brie Bella talks about her husband, Daniel Bryan. She says Bryan loves WWE and is trying his hardest to be 100% injury free. Naomi shoves Brie over and says no one cares about her or Daniel Bryan.

- Naomi vs. Brie Bella: Naomi hits a forearm, a slam into the turnbuckle and a few punches. Brie gets in a little bit of offense. Naomi kicks Brie in the face, rolls her up and scores the pin.

- "King Of The Ring Match": Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus: The fight goes to the floor, where Ambrose sends Sheamus into the ringpost. Sheamus hits a "Brogue Kick" on Ambrose as Dolph Ziggler hits the ring and attacks Sheamus, DQ'ing Ambrose. Sheamus escapes Ziggler by running through the crowd.

- In Ring Promo with Damien Sandow: Sandow talks about coming up in WWE, being told he wasn't entertaining, losing respect from the locker room by being Miz's lackey and finally gaining respect from the WWE Universe. Curtis Axel appears and interrupts Sandow. Axel does his Axelmania shtick as Sandow mocks Axel. Axel tells Sandow to leave, but Sandow continues to mock Axel. Axel tries to attack, but Sandow takes Axel out with the "Elbow of Disdain" and a leg drop.

- Bray Wyatt says he sees right through Ryback and his attack on Ryback tonight was only the beginning.

- "King Of The Ring Match": Neville vs Luke Harper: Harper puts Neville on the turn buckle, but Neville unloads on Harper. Harper shoves Neville, but Neville hits an enziguiri. Neville hits a sunset flip power bomb then "Red Arrow" to score the pin.

Orton hits the hanging DDT on Rollins and goes for the "RKO". Rollins dodges and shoves Orton out of the ring. Rollins suicide dives out to the floor but again accidentally takes out Kane. Kane snaps, lays out Mercury and Noble and uppercuts Rollins. Kane throws Rollins into the ring where Rollins gets a "Superman Punch" from Reigns, an "RKO" from Orton and Reigns and Orton score the pin.

- After the Match: The results of the voting on Rollins opponent are in. Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Payback against Reigns and Orton in a triple threat match. And this concludes RAW.

Leadoff with Lee 4.28.15 #KevinLove #ShaneRay #NBAPlayoffs #Indians

By @cleeverizon

Cavs forward Kevin Love has been ruled out for the Eastern Conference semifinals against the winner of the Bulls/Bucks series after suffering a dislocated shoulder and torn labrum.

The Cavs released the following statement last night:

The NBA has suspended Boston center Kelly Olynyk one game for the arm bar that caused Love's injury. Olynyk's suspension will be served during the 2015-2016 season since the Celtics are out of the playoffs.

Cleveland guard J.R. Smith also has been suspended two games for the hit he issued to Jae Crowder. That swing earned Smith a flagrant 2 by the refs and automatic ejection from the game. Also, Cavs reserve big man and enforcer Kendrick Perkins was issued a $15K.

- Another start for Corey Kluber, another loss for the Indians. Kluber relinquished 10 hits and 6 runs, 4 earned, through 6.1 innings in the Tribe’s 6-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Monday. The lone “highlight” of the game was Mike Aviles 2 run homer in the 5th to tie the game before the Royals poured in 4 more runs in the 6th and 7th innings. The Indians will give it another try tonight at 6pm as Trevor Bauer takes the bump against Jeremy Guthrie.

- Indians outfielder Nick Swisher is one step closer to returning to the big club. Swisher will join Class AAA Columbus in Rochester, N.Y. to continue his recovery from double knee surgery. Swisher will DH Tuesday and play right field Wednesday. He'll take Thursday off and play right field on consecutive days Friday and Saturday. Swisher is expected to return to the Tribe next week.

-The Texas Rangers acquired outfielder Josh Hamilton from the Los Angeles Angels for a player to be named later or cash. Hamilton, who turns 34 next month, struggled in two seasons after signing a five-year, $125 million contract with the Angels, who then sought to cut him loose after he admitted to a drug relapse in a February meeting with Major League Baseball officials.

-UFC fighter Jon "Bones" Jones has officially been named a suspect in a hit-and-run investigation. There were previous rumors of cocaine being found, which have been stated as false. A marijuana pipe, however, was found in Mr. Jones rental car involved in the investigation. Over the weekend, a woman was struck in a hit-and-run accident, and Jon Jones was identified by a police officer fleeing from the scene on foot. Jones is reportedly expected to be charged with a felony in connection with the hit-and-run.

- The Browns have reportedly have had talks with Washington over the past week about potentially moving up to the 5th pick. They’ve touched base with most Top 10 teams in this years draft.

- University of Central Florida Breshad Perriman had dinner last night in Orlando with General Manager Ray Farmer and other Browns executives. Perriman is 6’2” 215lbs and runs a 4.26 40 yard dash. In addition to visits Devante Parker and Amare Cooper and dinner with Breshad Perriman in Orlando, the Browns met with West Virginia receiver Kevin White the night before his pro day.

- Missouri Defensive lineman/outside linebacker Shane Ray was arrested for marijuana possession. The projected top 10 pick in this week’s NFL Draft was speeding in Cooper County. The Missouri State Trooper smelled the odor of marijuana (not burning) and some was found during a search. Ray was cooperative with the trooper and was released on a signature summons. He was given a warning for the speeding charge. His court date is set for June 30th. Ray racked up 22.5 tackles for loss and 13 sacks this past season for Mizzou.

- The Brooklyn Nets tied up their series with the Atlanta Hawks at 2 games apiece after their 120-115 win in overtime. Deron Williams scored 16 points in the 4th quarter for the Nets and finished with 35 for the game. Brook Lopez added 26 points and 10 rebounds. Jeff Teague and Demarre Carroll each scored 20 points and recorded 11 and 9 rebounds respectfully for the Hawks. Kyle Korver had an off night, going 6/16 shooting and 4/13 on 3 pointers. Game 5 will be Wednesday in Atlanta.

-The Milwaukee Bucks upset the Chicago Bulls 94-88. Michael Carter-Williams scored 22 points, with 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Khris Middleton added 21 points for the Bucks. Derrick Rose had a poor shooting night going 5/20 for 13 points. The Bulls were led in scoring by Pau Gasol who had 25 points and 10 rebounds. Jimmy Butler went a dismal 5/21 for 20 points. The Bucks forced the Bulls to turn the ball over with their stifling defense 13 times, scoring 24 points off of them. The Bulls lead the series 3-2 with Game 6 on Thursday night in Milwaukee.

- The Portland Trail Blazers also staved off elimination, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 99-92 behind Damian Lillard’s 32 points on 12/23 shooting (12 points in the 4th quarter) and 7 assists. LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds, with Meyers Leonard adding 13 points, 13 rebounds. On the Memphis side of things, Marc Gasol has 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Mike Conley missed the game due to facial surgery. Game 5 of this series will be Wednesday night, as Memphis tries to close out the series.

- The NCAA is considering changing the game shot clock from 35 seconds to 30 seconds. It's a minor step in improving gameplay, but definitely a step in the right direction.

WWE Extreme Rules 2015 Recap #WWE #ExtremeRules

By @B_Rock1978

Time to get EXTREME! Well WWE's way of getting extreme, anyway. It's another edition of Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. WWE Extreme Rules was live on the WWE Network, for the surprisingly low low price of $9.99. And for the record, I'm still waiting for those checks in the mail from Triple H, for promoting the WWE Network in my recaps.

This year's WWE Extreme Rules took place live at the Allstate Arena, in Chicago, Illinois. This is the second time in Extreme Rules existence that it's taken place at the Allstate Arena.
