The Cleveland Indians have announced their 2016 Hall of Fame Class of Jim Thome, Frank Robinson, Albert Belle and Charlie Jamieson.

Thome, a 5-time All-Star is the home run franchise leader with 337. In 1995, Belle had his became the first player to hit 50 home runs and 50 doubles in a single season. Frank Robinson played in Cleveland at the end of his career, 1974-76 and then became the first African-American manager in baseball in 1975-77 for the team. Jamieson was a member of the 1920 World Series championship team that defeated the Brooklyn Robins, who would later become the Dodgers.

The ceremony will be held before the July 30th game, against the Oakland Athletics.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end, and Cleveland Heights native, Travis Kelce became the NFL's second highest paid tight end Friday after signing a 5-year, $46M extension, with around $20M guaranteed. Kelce will receive a signing bonus just under $10M. The new deal has a max value of $50M including incentives. Along with the new deal, E! Entertainment Television is developing an eight episode reality TV dating series for Kelce, titled "Catching Kelce".

In addition to the $31 million the Panthers will pay Cam Newton this season, he now makes $11 million annually from deals with companies including PepsiCo's Gatorade, Microsoft, General Motors, and Under Armour. “Last Friday, it was $10 million” said his agent, Carlos Fleming of WME/IMG, declining to say which deals include bonuses for reaching the Feb. 7 Super Bowl in Santa Clara, Calif. Newton trails Denver Broncos quarterback -- and Super Bowl opponent -- Peyton Manning.

According to Forbes, Manning earns $12 million from contracts with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., Papa John’s International Inc., DirecTV and others.

In case you missed it, the 2016 NBA All-Star Reserves were announced. While the fans selected the starters for the East and West, the coaches around the league select the reserves.

For the East:

Jimmy Butler
DeMar DeRozan
Paul Millsap
Andre Drummond
Chris Bosh
John Wall
Isaiah Thomas

For the West:

Draymond Green
James Harden
Chris Paul
Klay Thompson
Anthony Davis
DeMarcus Cousins
LaMarcus Aldridge

Maty Mauk, quarterback of the Missouri Tigers, has been dismissed from the team. His dismissal comes a week after a video appeared on social media of Mauk snorting a white substance, believed to be cocaine. Coach Barry Odom said in a statement "After gathering evidence and speaking with a number of individuals this week, it is clear Maty has failed to live up to those expectations by violating team rules in recent weeks."

This is the third suspension for Mauk since September. The university has said they remain committed to helping him work through his challenges and earn his degree.

Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is being investigated by police in Texas following a disturbance during which he may have assaulted his ex-girlfriend.

Manziel, who has had two tumultuous seasons in the NFL, was identified by Forth Worth, Texas, police after they were called at about 2 a.m. Saturday to investigate a report of a possible assault at an apartment complex. The officers didn't find the person who called, but they spoke to an unidentified 23-year-old woman who said she was "involved in a disturbance with her ex-boyfriend" earlier that night in Dallas. Police later identified him as Manziel. There were no arrests, and it's not clear if Manziel has yet been questioned.
The police report said the woman was uncooperative with officers, who were unable to locate a crime scene. The woman raised concerns about her ex-boyfriend's well-being. Police tried calling Manziel's cell phone and searching for him before determining he was safe.

Zayn covers, but Joe breaks up the pinfall. Zayn locks Corbin in a sharpshooter submission as Joe locks Corbin in a cross face submission at the same time.

After the hiring of Harvard graduates Sashi Brown and Paul DePodesta, the Browns have finished rounding out their new front office by hiring another Harvard grad, 28 year old Andrew Berry.

His official job title will be Vice President of Player Personnel and will be the teams top talent evaluator. As a member of the Colts, Berry just completed his 7th season and his 4th as the team’s pro scouting coordinator. He was originally hired as a scouting assistant in 2009 before being promoted to pro scout in 2011. Berry has also been known to be the primary scout and is credited for the Colts drafting Andrew Luck in 2012.

He will join former Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton, who is now the Browns assistant head coach, and former Colts offensive line coach Hal Hunter, now the Browns' offensive line coach in Cleveland as the Browns have brought in a totally new coaching staff and management.

Berry played collegiate football at Harvard, where he was a two-time All-American at cornerback and a three-time First-Team All-Ivy League selection as a four-year starter.

The NBA has announced that newly minted Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue will serve as the Eastern Conference All-Stars head coach. All the current Cavaliers assistants will also be invited to serve as his assistants for the game. Lue will be replacing former Cavs coach David Blatt, who was fired last week after starting the season 30-11 and best record in the Eastern Conference. Tyronn Lue says being able to coach the Eastern Conference All-Stars is a tribute to David Blatt and the players. He's honored to do so. But, this is the realist tweet I've read on the subject:

The Cavs have hired Mike Longabardi who will serve as the team's assistant coach and defensive coordinator. Longabardi spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Suns. Prior to that, he spent six seasons as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics under Doc Rivers, four of which with Coach Lue.

This will be the second year in which the NBA has gone with a USA vs. World format for the Rising Stars Challenge. It used to be a rookies vs. sophomores game. The rosters were released yesterday.

-The 2016 NFL Pro Bowl draft took place last night. Browns tight end Gary Barnidge and tackle Joe Thomas were drafted to Team Jerry Rice, while center Alex Mack was selected by Team Michael Irvin.

For full draft results the link has been provided HERE.

Former Cleveland Indians outfielder Walt 'No Neck' Williams dies at the age 72. Williams, a stocky outfielder and utility man, played for the Tribe in 1973 and hit .289 with 8 homers and 38 in 104 games. In his 10 seasons in the MLB he also played for the Houston Colt .45s, New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox.

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 1.27.16: TNA Impact Wrestling

By @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, has returned with your TNA Impact Recap Edition.

TNA Impact took place in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, this week. The "Big Money Matt" Era in TNA has officially begun as Matt Hardy revealed his master plan last week. Hardy was able to defeat Ethan Carter in a Last Man Standing Match with his career on the line to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. It's how Hardy won it is what got people talking. Hardy convinced EC3's bodyguard Tyrus to turn on EC3 and Tyrus helped Hardy with the beatdown on EC3. Hardy would win and then belittle the fans and state all he cares about is himself, his wife and his child. Tonight, Jeff Hardy demanded answers from Matt. The Feast Or Fired Match returned with four briefcases up for grabs. The TNA X-Division Championship was on the line in a Triple Threat Match.

*** TNA Impact ***

- Backstage, Jeff Hardy arrives at the arena. Jeff says he's been trying to get a hold of his brother, Matt, all week, but Matt won't talk to him. Jeff promises to meet up with Matt tonight.

- The Hardy Family Promo: Jeff Hardy is in the ring, was shocked at what Matt Hardy pulled last week and asks his brother to come out to answer for what he did. Matt arrives with Reby Sky, Tyrus and Baby Maxwell. Jeff wants to talk to Matt alone, not with his sister-in-law, aka bitch-in-law. Matt tells Jeff he's treading in dangerous waters talking to Reby like that. Jeff continues and calls both Matt and Tyrus bitches too and demands answers. Matt mentions Jeff never having to live in Matt's shadow, Matt did the right thing his whole life and it got him nowhere and thanks Reby for helping Matt realize he needs to just take what he wants. Matt asks Jeff why can't he be happy for Matt. Matt answers the question himself and says it's because Jeff is considered the other Hardy now and lives in Matt's shadow. Matt suggests its time for the Hardys to go their separate ways. Jeff says Matt will never be a great wrestler like Ethan Carter was and challenges his brother for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Matt accepts, states that he loves his brother, but will wipe away the guilt that comes with the ass kicking he'll give Jeff tonight.

- "Feast Or Fired Match": James Storm vs. Bobby Roode vs. Drew Galloway vs. Rockstar Spud vs. Aiden O’Shea vs. Eric Young vs. Bram vs. Eli Drake vs. Chris Melendez vs. Jessie Godderz vs. Grado vs. Robbie E: Aiden and Robbie E trade shots with each other as they both go for the first briefcase. Grado gets involved, drops Aiden and ends up grabbing the first briefcase. Galloway takes out Bram and EY with a double clothesline, a back body drop to EY, takes a boot from Bram, but answers back with a running knee. Galloway escapes the tree of woe, suplexes Drake and then captures briefcase number two. Drake and Godderz trade shots as they both go for the last two briefcases.
Drake grabs the third briefcase, but Godderz gets stopped from reaching the last one by Robbie E. Bram hits Brighter Side of Suffering on Melendez while EY piledrives Spud. Roode hits a spine buster on Bram and reaches for the last briefcase. EY tosses Roode to the floor and Storm hits a backstabber on EY. Storm hits Last Call on Bram and is left all alone. Roode yells for Storm to grab the last briefcase and Storm does.
Winners: Grado, Drew Galloway, Eli Drake and James Storm, by briefcase retrieval.

- Backstage, Jeff Hardy tells Kurt Angle the way Matt Hardy won the TNA World Title wasn't right and Jeff really doesn't want to fight Matt. Angle says Jeff is doing the right thing and Angle has his back.

- "TNA X-Division Championship, Triple Threat Match": Tigre Uno (c) vs. Mandrews vs. DJ Zema: The match closes out with, Mandrews missing a springboard moonsault as Uno rolls out of the way. DJZ comes in and hits a Tornado DDT on Uno. DJZ next hits a Frankensteiner and gets a near fall on Mandrews. Tigre Uno is back in, takes out DJZ and then hits the Moonsault Slam from off the top rope on Mandrews to score the pinfall. After the match, Gregory Shane Helms arrives and heads to the ring. Helms stares down Uno and challenges him to a TNA X-Division Championship Match next week. Helms tells Uno his time as champion is about to expire.
Winner: Tigre Uno, by pinfall, to retain the TNA X-Division Championship.

- Backstage, Awesome Kong says she's not mad at The Dollhouse, but wants to make it clear that she still wants the TNA Knockout's Championship. Tonight she starts with revenge on Velvet Sky.

- Backstage, Kurt Angle tells Matt Hardy he's tarnishing the Hardy name. Matt says that he's building a brand. Angle calls Matt a selfish jerk. Matt tells Angle he respects him, but he needs to keep his neck out of his business before it gets broken.

- Velvet Sky vs. Awesome Kong: The match closes out with, Kong taking full control of Velvet, hits the running splash and scores the pinfall with the Implant Buster. After the match, Kong continues to beat down Velvet inside the ring. Madison Rayne hits the ring for the save, but gets attacked from behind by The Dollhouse. Jade hits a cradle piledriver on Madison and then the DH make Madison watch as Velvet gets a second rope splash from Kong.
Winner: Awesome Kong, by pinfall.

- Backstage, The Wolves still have their tag team titles missing from last week's attack by Abyss and Crazy Steve. The Wolves know Steve has them and they demand them back.

- Feast or Fired Segment: Before the first case is opened, Mike Bennett interrupts, mocks the four winners and says all four need a miracle to keep their jobs. Galloway looks at Bennett and his wife Maria and states that he knows who the brains are in their operation. Maria says TNA needs her and The Miracle. Eli Drake finally opens his briefcase and he's granted a future TNA King of the Mountain Championship Match.

- The Wolves vs. Crazy Steve and Abyss: The match closes out with, Eddie Edwards knocks Abyss off the apron and follows with a suicide dive. Steve hits a back elbow on Edwards and a uppercut on Davey Richards. The Wolves regain control and set Steve up for Creeping Death. A woman suddenly appears and is holding The Wolves' TNA World Tag Team Championships. Abyss and Steve get DQ'ed. After the match, the woman spits green mist in Richards' eyes as Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam and a choke slam on Edwards.
Winners: The Wolves, by DQ.

- Feast or Fired Segment: James Storm opens his briefcase after drinking a beer and gets a future TNA World Tag Team Championship Match. Drew Galloway opens his and gets the future TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match. Grado opens his and gets FIRED!

- "TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match": Matt Hardy (c) vs. Jeff Hardy: Before the match can even start, Eric Young and Bram hit the ring. EY complains about Jeff becoming the #1 Contender right off the bat and Bram attacks Jeff from behind. Matt leaves the ring as EY and Bram beat down Jeff. Beer Money hits the ring for the save and brawls with Bram and EY. Crazy Steve and Abyss hit the ring and brawl with Beer Money. Beer Money, Steve and Abyss brawl to the back as Kurt Angle hits the ring. Tyrus attacks Angle from behind and Matt hits Angle in the head with the TNA World Title. Matt, Reby and Tyrus leave as EY and Bram are back in and attack Angle. Jeff is back in and attacks EY and Bram. EY sends Jeff into the ring post and then hits the piledriver on Jeff right through a table.
Winner: No Contest

- This ended this weeks Impact.
