On The Mark 10.25.14: #Buckeyes Preview

By @MarkW2112

The Ohio State Buckeyes go in to Happy Valley to play Penn State Nittany Lions at 8 PM tonight for a prime time match up.  As Penn State does their traditional "white out" during big games with new coach James Franklin, the Buckeyes will concentrate on continuing their domination of all of the teams they've played since losing to Virginia Tech in week 2.

The Lions are coming off a bye week and will be pumped to play at home.  They are looking for big things from quarterback Christian Hackenberg and their defense to come up with a big game against J.T. Barrett and the Buckeyes explosive offensive.  If the crowd can be disruptive to the Bucks offense, it could be a long night on both sides of the ball.

My take: this will be the first of 2 big games for J.T. Barrett as he continues his Heisman candidate type season.  If he is able to continue his current pace, he could become the greatest freshman quarterback in Ohio State history.  But winning big games such as tonight and again in 2 weeks at Michigan State will prove his greatness.  The defense will need to play a bend, not break, type defense and try not to give up too many big plays to the Lions.  All in all we are in for a fun game tonight.

Prediction: Ohio State pulls it out once more, 52-31, white out and all, as the Buckeyes go for over 50 points for the fifth week in a row.
