- NXT Takeover: Respect took place live at Full Sail University in Orlando Florida. Some highlights of tonight's show included: The debut of Japanese women's wrestler Asuka, as she went one on one with Dana Brooke. The semi-finals and finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament. For the first time ever, Bayley defends her NXT Women's Championship against Sasha Banks in a 30-Minute Iron Woman Match. All that and more, let's get to the NXT Takeover: Respect recap.

- Finn Balor and Samoa Joe defeated Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, by pinfall, in the Semi-Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament: Dawson and Wilder do a number on Balor's knee throughout the match. The match closes out with Balor finally hot tagging Joe in and Joe explodes with an inverted atomic drop, a big boot and a senton. Joe hits the uranage on Wilder and goes for the Muscle Buster. Balor begs Joe to tag him in, hurt knee and all and Joe surprisingly does. Joe hits the Muscle Buster on Wilder and Balor follows with the double stomp off the top rope. Balor covers and scores the pinfall. Balor and Joe advance to the finals of the tournament. After the match, Balor looks like he's seriously injured as he can barely walk on his injured knee.

- Baron Corbin and Rhyno defeated Jason Jordan and Chad Gable, by pinfall, in the Semi-Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament: The match closes out with Rhyno missing a top rope splash and Gable hot tags Jordan. Jordan cleans house on Corbin and Rhyno and takes control of the match. Corbin charges out of the corner and hits a huge lariat on Jordan. Gable tries to regain control, but gets dropped with a Boss Man Slam by Corbin. Gable is back up and hits the Chaos Theory on Corbin and goes for a corkscrew DDT. Corbin counters, plants Gable with the End of Days, covers and scores the pinfall. Corbin and Rhyno advance into the finals of the tournament.

- Asuka defeated Dana Brooke, by submission: The match closes out with Emma getting involved and trapping Asuka's foot in the ring apron skirt. Dana takes over on offense and looks to be in control. Asuka regains herself and explodes on Dana with a knee bar into an ankle lock and follows that up with a nice german suplex. Asuka stays on the offense and hits a jumping arm bar and takes Dana down into a seated arm bar. Asuka applies a chicken wing, follows that with a kick to Dana's head and then locks in the Asuka Lock submission. Dana has no choice but to tap out. After the match, Dana tries to attack Asuka, but catches another kick to the face instead. Asuka stares down Emma, who steps aside and avoids eye contact with Asuka.

- Apollo Crews defeated Tyler Breeze, by pinfall: The match closes out with Breeze hitting the Beauty Shot, but Crews kicks out at two. Breeze goes for a top rope splash, but Crews catches Breeze and power slams him. Crews with the gorilla press, but Breeze grabs Crews' legs, blocking the standing moonsault. Crews lands a kick, but misses the standing moonsault, as Breeze gets the knees up. Breeze small packages Crews and gets a near fall. Crews hits a power bomb out of nowhere on Breeze, covers and scores the pinfall.

- Finn Balor and Samoa Joe defeated Baron Corbin and Rhyno, by pinfall, to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament: Corbin and Rhyno targeted Balor's injured knee immediately. The match closes out with Balor fighting for his life, but walks into a Corbin Boss Man Slam. Corbin runs the ropes, but Balor hits Sling Blade on Corbin and tags in Joe. Joe unloads and hits a uranage on Rhyno. Joe delivers the STO to Corbin, but Rhyno hits a crushing Gore on Joe. Rhyno covers, but Balor breaks up the pinfall. Joe is back up and hits the Muscle Buster on Rhyno while Balor punt kicks Corbin. Balor heads up top, hits the double stomp, covers, scores the pinfall and Balor and Joe win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament. After the match, Cody Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes and the rest of the Rhodes Family present Samoa Joe and Finn Balor with the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Trophy.

- Bayley defeated Sasha Banks, 3 Falls to 2, in a 30-Minute Iron Woman Match, to retain the NXT Women's Championship: Sasha takes the 1-0 lead after both Bayley and Sasha nearly take out the referee. During the chaos, Sasha pokes Bayley in the eye and rolls her up for the pinfall. Bayley ties the score at 1-1, after Sasha goes to the top rope. Bayley rips Sasha off the ropes and hits Bayley-To-Belly for the pinfall. Sasha takes the 2-1 lead, after brawling with Bayley on the floor.
Sasha talks trash to Bayley's family at ringside and then tosses Bayley into the LED board on the NXT stage. Sasha skips around the ring as Bayley gets counted out. Bayley ties things up at 2 after Sasha applies a crab submission. Bayley reaches the bottom rope to break the submission and pulls a pinfall out of no where. The match closes out with Sasha getting a near fall with a Sasha-To-Belly. Bayley kicks out, but gets put right into the Bank Statement submission. Bayley tries to escape, but Sasha continues to re-apply the submission. Bayley finally escapes by slamming Sasha's injured hand into the mat, forcing her to break the hold. Bayley applies an arm bar submission and then modifies it into the Rings Of Saturn submission.
Sasha fights the pain and refuses to tap out, until Bailey starts kicking Sasha repeatedly in the back of the head, which forces Sasha to tap out. Time expires and Bayley wins 3-2 to retain the NXT Women's Championship. After the match, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and the whole NXT locker room come out. Triple H and Stephanie group hug the girls and give them both flowers for putting on one hell of a main event to close out the show.
