WWE Money In The Bank Preview

By Brandon Albright, @B_Rock1978

It's the Ladder Match that makes dreams come true, it's the Money In The Bank! Every year one lucky superstar is able to retrieve the briefcase hanging from the ceiling and earn himself a World Championship Match anytime anyplace. Which WWE Superstar will walk out with the briefcase this year as WWE Money In The Bank is live at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. If you can't see this year's event, just check out Triple Threat CLE on Monday afternoon and I will have the full recap of the show for you.

- "WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match": Jinder Mahal (c) vs. Randy Orton: Last month at WWE Backlash, Jinder Mahal pulled off the biggest upset of his career, as he defeated Randy Orton to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. On the next edition of Smackdown Live, Shane McMahon announced that Orton immediately invoked his rematch for the title at WWE Money In The Bank, in Orton's hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. Mahal seemed not worried at all as he celebrated his title victory with a Punjabi Celebration Party to honor himself and his home country of India. Orton has guaranteed victory and becoming a 14 Time WWE World Champion in front of his family and friends. Mahal has called Orton the typical American that only cares about himself, while his country crumbles and decays around him.

- "Men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match": AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin: This year's Money In The Bank Ladder Match will showcase 5 former world champions and a fresh up and comer looking for his first world title. First up it's AJ Styles who is a former IWGP, TNA, NWA and WWE World Champion. Next up we have Shinsuke Nakamura who's a former IWGP and NXT World Champion. Kevin Owens is next coming in as a former ROH and NXT World Champion, Owens is also a former WWE Universal Champion. Dolph Ziggler steps in to the ladder match as a former WWE World Champion and the only MITB winner out of this year's group. Sami Zayn looks to grab the briefcase and become a world champion again as he once held the NXT World Title. Finally Baron Corbin has claimed the sixth and final spot. Corbin has yet to win any world titles in his career, but winning MITB could be step one in changing that. Which WWE Superstar is walking out Mr. Money In The Bank?

- "Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match": Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte vs. Nattie Neidhart vs. Tamina vs. Carmella: Shane McMahon dropped a bombshell of an announcement on Smackdown Live as he made the first ever Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match official for this year. 5 of Smackdown Live's top ladies will be reaching for that briefcase and aiming for a women's championship opportunity. Becky Lynch comes in as a former WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion. Next up we have Charlotte, who's a former NXT World Champion, WWE Divas Champion and WWE RAW Women's Champion. Nattie Neidhart is in spot number three and comes in as a former WWE Divas Champion. Carmella and Tamina take the last two spots and both are still looking for their first title wins in the company. Which one of these ladies is walking out Ms. Money In The Bank?

- "WWE Smackdown Live World Tag Team Championship Match": The Usos (c) vs. The New Day: Last month at WWE Backlash, The Usos defeated Breezango to retain their WWE Smackdown Live World Tag Team Championship and then defeated Breezango again on the next edition of Smackdown Live. The Usos began to run off at the mouth stating there was no team that could defeat them, when they were interrupted by the Smackdown Live debuting New Day. A Smackdown Live World Tag Team Championship Match was immediately signed for WWE Money In The Bank between the two teams. The New Day look to claim their first Smackdown Live World Tag Team Championship and The Usos look to welcoming New Day to The Usos Penitentiary and defeat the challengers.

- "WWE Smackdown Live Women's Championship Match": Naomi (c) vs. Lana: Lana made her debut on Smackdown Live and immediately asked Shane McMahon if she could be included in the Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match. Shane turned down Lana's wishes, forcing Lana to turn her attention to the WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion Naomi and wanting a title shot. Shane McMahon again turned down Lana's wishes for the match. Lana ended up costing Naomi a Six Woman Tag Team Match to get her attention. Naomi went to Shane McMahon and demanded a match with Lana at WWE Money In The Bank and agreed to put her title on the line just to get her hands on Lana. Shane McMahon finally agreed to the match giving Naomi her chance at redemption.
