We are only 5 days away from this Sunday's WWE Money In The Bank pay per view as Smackdown Live was live in New Orleans, Louisiana. Who will get the last laugh tonight and head into Sunday with the momentum in their favor?
** Smackdown Live Card **
- WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion Naomi battled Tamina in a non title match.
- Charlotte battled Nattie Neidhart.
- WWE Smackdown Live World Tag Team Champions The Usos and The Colons battled The New Day and Breezango in an Eight Man Tag Team Match.
- WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler battled AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura in a Six Man Tag Team Match.
- The New Day and The Usos have a face to face, but get interrupted.
- WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal met with #1 Contender Randy Orton face to face before their title match at WWE Money In The Bank.
** Smackdown Live **
- The New Day Promo: The New Day arrive with a New Orleans Bourban Street Band. New Day hypes Wrestlemania 34 being in New Orleans in 2018 and state that they will beat The Usos for the tag team titles at WWE Money In The Bank and be the champions when they arrive at Wrestlemania 34. The Usos interrupt and remind New Day that they've been grinding and putting in the hard work and they will be leaving WWE Money In The Bank still the champions. Breezango and The Colons interrupt next, we get more back and forth on the microphone between all four teams until finally the Eight Man Tag Team Match is ready to begin.
- "Eight Man Tag Team Match": The New Day and Breezango vs. The Usos and The Colons: The match closes out with Jimmy blocking Trouble in Paradise from Kofi, but Kofi connects on the second attempt. Jey is in and breaks up the pinfall. Fandango goes after Jey and ends up outside. Kofi counters a Backstabber from Primo and tags Woods. Kofi holds Primo as Woods comes off the top rope with a double stomp. Woods covers and scores the pinfall.
Winners: The New Day and Breezango, by pinfall. - Backstage, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura are interrupted by Sami Zayn, who wants to talk about strategy for their tag team match later.
- Backstage, Mojo Rawley gives thanks to Shane McMahon for the opportunity last week and gives props to Jinder Mahal. Mojo says losing only makes him stronger and he's ready to get hyped. Zack Ryder suddenly returns from his injury and tells Mojo they still have unfinished business in the tag team division. Mojo agrees and is happy that Ryder is back.
- Naomi vs. Tamina: The match closes out with Lana showing up and watching at ringside. Naomi hits a series of kicks on Tamina. Tamina hits a mid air slam on Naomi for a near fall. Naomi lands a kick on Tamina as she climbs the ropes. Naomi hits the split legged moonsault on Tamina and scores the pinfall. After the match, Lana attacks Naomi from behind. Lana hits a fisherman's suplex into a power bomb and holds up Naomi's title.
Winner: Naomi, by pinfall. - Jinder Mahal Promo: Mahal says he will prove what a coward Randy Orton is at WWE Money In The Bank, he'll beat Orton in front of his family and Orton is scared of Mahal ruining the Orton name. Orton sneaks out of the crowd and into the ring and hits Mahal with an RKO outta nowhere. Orton celebrates as The Singh Brothers check on Mahal.
- Backstage, Kevin Owens is trying to convince Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler to watch each other's backs tonight in their tag team match.
- Backstage, Randy Orton says he sent his message loud and clear to Jinder Mahal and Orton will get back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship back at WWE Money In The Bank.
- Charlotte vs. Nattie Neidhart: The match closes out with Charlotte countering the Sharpshooter submission and landing a boot on Nattie for a near fall. Nattie gets a near fall rollup as Charlotte looks up at the briefcase hanging from the ceiling. Charlotte hits Natural Selection on Nattie and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Charlotte, by pinfall. - Breezango brings us another edition of the Fashion Files.
- Backstage, Lana doesn't care what the WWE Universe thinks, she'll shake up the world when she defeats Naomi for the WWE Smackdown Live Women's Championship at WWE Money In The Bank.
- "Six Man Tag Team Match": Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler vs. AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn: The match closes out with Zayn hitting the Blue Thunder Bomb on Owens, but Corbin attacks Zayn after. Zayn knocks Ziggler off the apron, but then gets a corner splash from Corbin. Zayn with a clothesline and then he tosses Corbin outside. Ziggler and Owens attack Styles and Nakamura and they brawl on the floor. Corbin lands a shot on Styles, but eats a Helluva Kick from Zayn. Zayn covers Corbin and scores the pinfall. After the match, Ziggler attacks Zayn and Styles. Owens grabs a ladder and he and Ziggler crush Zayn with it. Corbin suddenly attacks Ziggler and Owens and lays them both out. Corbin hits Ziggler and Owens with the ladder and then climbs the ladder up to the briefcase hanging from the ceiling. Nakamura shoves Corbin off the ladder, hits Kinshasa on Corbin and then climbs the ladder. Nakamura grabs the briefcase and celebrates to end the show.
Winners: AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn, by pinfall.
