Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 6.21.16: RAW Results #RAW

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with this week's RAW Recap Edition. 

This week's RAW was live in Phoenix, Arizona. The Ambrose Asylum Era as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion begins. Kevin Owens battled Sami Zayn in one on one action. Enzo and Big Cass took on The Vaudevillains in tag team division action. John Cena battled Karl Anderson of The Club in one on one action. Baron Corbin battled Zack Ryder in one on one action. WWE Women's Champion, Charlotte defended the title against Paige. The Wyatt Family return from hiatus and cut a promo. WWE United States Champion, Rusev battled Titus O'Neil in a non-title match. In the main event, Seth Rollins battled Roman Reigns to determine a new #1 contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

*** RAW ***

- Dean Ambrose is shown arriving in a taxi before the show and almost forgets his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the cab.

- Dean Ambrose Promo: Ambrose says he's been partying in Vegas, living it up as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, what he did was worth it and he'd do it again. Roman Reigns' music hits and the former champion interrupts Ambrose. Reigns takes the time to congratulate Ambrose. Ambrose makes it clear that it didn't matter whether it was Reigns or Seth Rollins that won their match last night, Ambrose was cashing in Money In The Bank. Reigns understands, but now he wants to know if Ambrose is a fighting champion. Seth Rollins' music hits and former champion number two interrupts. Rollins is still upset over winning the title last night and then Ambrose cashing in on him. Reigns wants a title shot, as does Rollins and Ambrose is willing to give it to both. All three men are about to go at it when Shane McMahon arrives. Shane congratulates Ambrose and says Stephanie isn't here tonight so he's calling the shots. The first order of business is Reigns vs. Rollins in a #1 contenders match tonight. Reigns and Rollins go nose to nose before Rollins eventually leaves the ring. 

- Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn: The match closes out with Zayn blocking an Owens super plex and shoving Owens down. Zayn gets blasted with a super kick and Owens gets a near fall. Zayn hits a suplex on Owens, but ends up eating another Owens super kick. Owens goes for the pop up power bomb, but Zayn counters, rolls up Owens and scores the pinfall. After the match, Owens attacks Zayn and goes for a power bomb on the floor. Zayn counters and tackles Owens to the ground. Owens and Zayn ground and pound each other until WWE Officials separate both men.
Winner: Sami Zayn, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are still brawling and trying to be separated by WWE Officials.

- John Laurinaitis Promo: Big John reintroduces himself and talks up the WWE Network. Shane McMahon interrupts and tells Big John to leave. Big John wants a shot at running Smackdown. Shane says it's not going to be a corporate yes man running Smackdown so he can forget it. Shane says he's running Smackdown. Big John suggests that he runs RAW then if Shane is taking Smackdown. Shane finally gets Big John escorted off the RAW stage. 

- Enzo and Big Cass vs. The Vaudevillains: The match closes out with Cass getting the hot tag and unloads on everyone. Cass hits the Empire Elbow on English and follows that with a boot. Cass splashes English and then hits a fallaway slam. Enzo tags in and hits the Bada Boom to score the pinfall.
Winners: Enzo and Big Cass, by pinfall.

- AJ Styles Promo: Styles says the dream match against John Cena was tainted by The Club. Styles says if The Club continues then Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson need to apologize first. Gallows and Anderson arrive and look confused. Styles says he had Cena beat and now with their interference Cena has an excuse as to why he lost. Gallows and Anderson apologize, but Styles wants them to apologize to John Cena too. Cena arrives, but refuses an apology, even though Gallows and Anderson apologize. Cena says Styles proved he has no balls. Styles offers Cena any member of The Club accept for Styles in a match. Anderson ends up taking the match and Styles wishes Cena good luck.

- Karl Anderson vs. John Cena: The match closes out with Cena hitting a clothesline on Anderson and follows with a slam. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle and then the AA on Anderson. Cena covers, but Styles and Gallows hit the ring and attack Cena, causing a DQ. After the match, Gallows and Anderson drop Cena with the Magic Killer and Styles hits a Styles Clash on Cena.
Winner: John Cena, by DQ.

- Backstage, Seth Rollins says he proved he's better than Roman Reigns, he will end Dean Ambrose and he proved to the world that he was the most superior Shield member.

- Backstage, Becky Lynch says she's still baffled as to why Nattie Neidhart turned on her. Nattie attacks Becky from behind and beats Becky down. Nattie says she's looking out for what's best for her now.

- Baron Corbin vs. Zack Ryder: The match closes out with Ryder hitting the Elbro Drop on Corbin and getting a near fall. Corbin hits a clothesline on Ryder for a near fall. Ryder flies at Corbin, but gets shoved away by Corbin. Corbin hits End Of Days on Ryder and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Baron Corbin, by pinfall.

- WWE Women's Championship Match"
Charlotte (c) vs. Paige: The match closes out with Charlotte countering a super plex and dropping Paige on her face. Charlotte goes off the top rope with a moonsault on Paige and gets a near fall. Charlotte and Paige trade pinfalls with each other until Paige finally hits a Ram-Paige on Charlotte. Paige covers, but only gets a two count as Dana Brooke reaches in and puts Charlotte's foot on the ropes. The referee catches Dana in the act and ejects her from ringside. Charlotte catches Paige in the distraction, plants a boot and then hits Natural Selection for the pinfall. After the match, Charlotte and Dana 2-on-1 beat down Paige until Sasha Banks' music hits and out she comes. Sasha knocks out Dana, catches Charlotte trying to run and locks her in the Banks Statement submission. Paige gets back up and attacks Dana and chases her off. Sasha and Paige stand alone with Sasha holding Charlotte's title. 
Winner: Charlotte, by pinfall, to retain the WWE Women's Championship.

- Backstage, Roman Reigns is ready for tonight's main event.

- The Wyatt Family Promo: Bray says they're back, they're putting everyone on notice in the back and they're stronger than ever. The New Day interrupt and arrive on the RAW stage. New Day crack jokes but The Wyatt's aren't amused. Bray says that since they interrupted the Wyatt's return, he sees a "New Day Falls" in their future and that they should run.

- Backstage, Titus O'Neil says he's beating Rusev tonight for disrespecting his family on Sunday night.

- Rusev vs. Titus O'Neil: The match turns into a slug fest with Titus sending Rusev into the barricade repeatedly and then he tosses Rusev over the barricade. Rusev escapes through the crowd with the match never officially starting.
Winner: No Contest

- Backstage, Chris Jericho confronts Shane McMahon. Jericho thinks Shane has always had it out for him, Shane is allowing a barbarian like Dean Ambrose to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and calls Shane a stupid idiot. Shane threatens Jericho. Jericho says he'd rather work for ten Stephanie McMahon's than one Shane McMahon and hopes he gets drafted to Smackdown. Shane says he's running both shows. 

- "#1 Contenders Match": Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns: Dean Ambrose is on commentary for this match. The match closes out with Reigns hitting the Drive By on Rollins and then takes apart the announcers table. Rollins counters going through the table and hits an enziguri on Reigns. Rollins and Reigns continue to trade punches back and forth outside and both end up getting counted out. After the match, Shane McMahon's music hits and out comes Shane. Shane says we need a number one contender now. Ambrose says he'll fight them both. Shane officially announces a triple threat match between Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins at WWE Battleground.  Shane leaves the ring as Ambrose plants both Reigns and Rollins with Dirty Deeds to end the show. 
Winner: Double Countout
