Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 6/7/17: Smackdown Live Rochester Recap

Smackdown Live returned this week as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal finds himself with a Viper targeting him. The first ever Women's Money In The Bank will take place at WWE Money In The Bank along with the Men's Traditional Match. What other surprises will be revealed as we move closer to the huge Smackdown Live pay per view? Smackdown Live was live this week in Rochester, New York.

** Smackdown Live Card **

- WWE Smackdown Live Women's Championship Naomi, Charlotte and Becky Lynch battled Carmella, Nattie Neidhart and Tamina in a Six Woman Tag Team Match.
- AJ Styles battled Dolph Ziggler in a rematch from last week's show.
- WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal battled Mojo Rawley in a non title match.
- The New Day battled The Colons.
- WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens battled Shinsuke Nakamura in a non title match.

- WWE Smackdown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon introduces the participants in the female Money In The Bank Ladder Match and the new female Money In The Bank briefcase.

** Smackdown Live **

- Shane McMahon Promo: Shane introduces the five women in Money In The Bank and introduces the Money In The Bank briefcase, which is all white with a gold trim. James Ellsworth interrupts and says we already know what's going to happen. Carmella grabs the microphone but gets shut up by Charlotte. Nattie Neidhart cuts off Charlotte next. Becky Lynch cuts off Nattie and says she ripped off her uncle Bret Hart. Tamima interrupts, says all they all do is talk, but she's the one winning Money In The Bank. Naomi interrupts next but she gets interrupted by the Smackdown Live debut of Lana. Lana says she can compete in the ring, which gets all the ladies laughing and Shane says he can't deal with this right now. Lana says she can beat Naomi and starts arguing with her. Shane says Lana needs to earn her spot before getting a title shot which makes Lana storm off. Shane then announces a Six Woman Tag Team Match and that match is now.

- Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Naomi vs. Nattie Neidhart, Carmella and Tamina: The match closes out with Charlotte getting double teamed and sent outside. Lana arrives at ringside as Naomi battles Nattie and Tamina. Naomi kicks Tamina, but then gets tripped up by Lana. Naomi gets distracted, then gets super kicked by Tamina, allowing Tamina to score the pinfall.
Winners: Nattie Neidhart, Carmella and Tamina, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Mojo Rawley tells Shane McMahon what his Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy means to him. Mojo says he's been given no opportunities since winning it and he's also pinned Jinder Mahal in the past. Shane tells Mojo that if he can beat Jinder Mahal again tonight he'll enter Mojo into the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. 

- Dolph Ziggler vs. AJ Styles: The match closes out with Styles countering a tornado DDT and drops Ziggler on the mat. Styles goes for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Ziggler counters it. Styles and Ziggler trade offense and pinfall attempts. Styles finally hits the Styles Clash on Ziggler and scores the pinfall.
Winner: AJ Styles, by pinfall.

- Breezango returns with a new Fashion Files with special guests The New Day. 

- Mojo Rawley vs. Jinder Mahal: The match closes out with Mojo in control until one of the Singh Brothers distract Mojo. Mahal takes advantage, but Mojo lands a backdrop, a shoulder block and a clothesline. Mahal rakes Mojo in the eyes and hits the Cobra Clutch Slam for the pinfall. After the match, Mahal says he'll defeat Randy Orton in Orton's hometown and we will have no choice but to recognize him.
Winner: Jinder Mahal, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Randy Orton says at WWE Money In The Bank he won't have to say one word, but Jinder Mahal will understand him.

- The New Day vs. The Colons: The match closes out with Big E suplexing Epico and then hits a splash. Big E sends Primo to the floor. Woods hits a suicide dive on Primo. Epico comes back with jaw breaker on Big E. Woods tags in and kicks Epico in the face. Woods and Big E hit the Midnight Hour to score the pinfall. After the match, The Usos arrive, tell New Day that at WWE Money In The Bank there won't be anymore jokes when The Usos finish with The New Day.
Winners: The New Day, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Sami Zayn says he's excited to do commentary for the main event tonight. Baron Corbin suddenly attacks Zayn with a ladder, beats him down and says a spot on commentary just opened.

- Backstage, Naomi demands Shane McMahon to give her a match with Lana at WWE Money In The Bank even if she has to put her title on the line. Shane agrees to her terms and makes the match official.

- Kevin Owens vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: Baron Corbin takes Sami Zayn's spot on commentaty. The match closes out with Owens hitting the corner cannonball, but Nakamura comes back with a kick on Owens. Nakamura hits a reverse Exploder suplex and then hits the Kinshasa on Owens to score the pinfall. After the match, Corbin attacks Nakamura from behind and hits End of Days to close the show.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura, by pinfall.
