Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 6/8/17: NXT Recap

NXT returned this week and brought us another GLOOOOORIOUS show, as NXT World Champion Bobby Roode returned with some words of wisdom. No Way Jose returned from injury this week and immediately went right back after SAnitY. Hideo Itami continues to have a mean streak since losing to Bobby Roode at NXT Takeover: Chicago. What other feuds and surprises would NXT have in store for us this week?

** This Weeks Card **

- Heavy Machinery battled Victor Andrews and Lars Sullivan.
- Peyton Royce battled Sarah Logan.
- Hideo Itami battled Oney Lorcan.
- No Way Jose battled Killian Dain.

- Roderick Strong announces what's next for him and gets a Glorious surprise.

** NXT **

- Heavy Machinery vs. Victor Andrews and Lars Sullivan: The match closes out with Andrews tagging himself in and getting destroyed by Heavy Machinery. Andrews is trapped in a bear hug and then gets sandwiched in between both charging Heavy Machinery guys. Heavy Machinery hit their Compactor finisher and score the pinfall. After the match, Sullivan snaps and viciously attacks Andrews with clubbing forearms and a slam.
Winner: Heavy Machinery, by pinfall.

- Roderick Strong Promo: Strong thanks everyone for accepting him and his story about his life, his fiance and his newborn baby. Strong says he's more focused than ever now and wants the NXT World Championship. The champ, Bobby Roode, interrupts and mocks Strong with fake crying. Roode says that in Roode's NXT you earn title shots around here and suggests that Strong stay in his own lane. Roode tells Strong that he'd be more than happy to take a selfie with Strong though, so he can show his son a picture of the champ and his old man. Roode suggests that Strong not play the Bobby Roode Lottery and wishes Strong luck.

- Backstage, Nikki Cross is shown flipping out and wanting another piece of Ruby Riot and NXT Women's Champion Asuka.

- Peyton Royce vs. Sarah Logan: The match closes out with Sarah hitting a drop kick on Peyton and lands some strikes. Sarah with a near fall running knee on Peyton. Peyton takes over and unloads on Sarah. Peyton hits the Fisherman's Suplex on Sarah and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Peyton Royce, by pinfall.

- Andrade "Cien" Almas is shown walking out on the town with a couple of ladies. Thea Trinidad suddenly confronts Almas and asks him if this is what he is now. Almas says yes and then catches a slap in the face by Thea.

- Backstage, Hideo Itami says he's worked too hard to get where he is, has alot more to accomplish in NXT and isn't going back to Japan.

- Hideo Itami vs. Oney Lorcan: The match closes out with Lorcan hitting a suicide cannonball on Itami. Itami appears to be injured, but plays opossum and takes out Lorcan's leg. Itami unloads a combo of strikes on Lorcan and then hits Go To Sleep. Itami refuses to cover and instead hits a second Go To Sleep on Lorcan. Itami still refuses to cover and then hits a third Go To Sleep on Lorcan. Kassius Ohno finally hits the ring and backs Itami off of Lorcan. Itami shoves Ohno and after thinking it over Ohno shoves Itami to the mat. Itami retreats out of the ring as Ohno checks on Lorcan.
Winner: No Contest.

- Backstage, Ember Moon talks about getting back into the NXT Women's Championship picture, but first she has to take care of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay.

- No Way Jose vs. Killian Dain: The match closes out with Dain lifting Jose up on his shoulders, but Jose escapes. Jose hits a combo of strikes and then a TKO for a near fall. Jose goes for the knockout punch, but Dain plants a head butt. Dain hits a drop kick on Jose and then the Electric Chair slam for the pinfall.
Winner: Killian Dain, by pinfall.
