Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 5.12.15: #RAW Recap

By @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE.  It's time for this week's RAW recap.

- RAW was live this week in Cincinnati, Ohio, just a straight shot down I-77 from us in Cleveland. Cincinnati also hails as the "Lunatic Fringe" Dean Ambrose's hometown. Tonight's RAW was the final RAW leading up to Sunday's Payback pay per view.

- RAW kicks off with Triple H, in the ring, returning to run the show. Triple H says he needs to clear things up with The Authority. Seth Rollins immediately comes to the ring. Rollins says he agrees, Kane is trying to screw things up, isn't fit for his job and things need fixed. Kane comes out next and Triple H cuts him off. Triple H says Kane needs to get on the same page and get along with Rollins because that's what's best for business. Triple H says Rollins better leave Payback still the champ and will face Randy Orton later, Kane better be on the same page when he fights Roman Reigns later and forces Mercury and Noble to face Dean Ambrose after Noble runs his mouth about unfairness.

- Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble vs. Dean Ambrose: Mercury and Noble try to escape, but get taken out with an Ambrose suicide dive. Back in the ring, Ambrose lands a kick on both guys and takes both out with the rebound clothesline. Mercury gets thrown to the floor and Noble gets planted with "Dirty Deeds". Ambrose covers and scores the pin.

- King Barrett vs. Dolph Ziggler: Sheamus is on commentary for this match. Sheamus gets on the apron and distracts Ziggler. Ziggler turns away from Sheamus and walks right into the Barrett "Bullhammer". Barrett covers and scores the pin. After the match, Sheamus gets in the ring and stomps away on Ziggler. Ziggler tries to fight back, but gets planted with a "Brogue Kick".

- Erick Rowan (w/Luke Harper) vs. Fandango: It appears Rowan and Harper are back together again as they come out together. Rowan squashes Fandango with a pumphandle slam and scores the pin. After the match, Harper lays Fandango out with the big clothesline.

- "WWE United States Championship Match": John Cena (c) vs. Neville: Cena hits the "Five Knuckle Shuffle", but gets "AA" countered with a Neville corkscrew moonsault for a near fall. Neville goes for a springboard, but gets caught in an "AA" attempt. Cena hits the "AA", but Neville kicks out at two. Neville power bombs Cena off the ropes and gets a near fall. Neville goes to the top rope and hits the "Red Arrow". Neville covers, but Rusev hits the ring and attacks Neville, stopping the pinfall. After the match, Rusev thrust kicks Cena and locks him in "The Accolade" submission. Neville wins by DQ but Cena retains the U.S. Title.

- Roman Reigns vs. Kane: Kane attacks Reigns during his entrance and they brawl on the floor. Reigns is tossed into the barricade, apron and steel steps. Kane charges at Reigns, but gets hit with the "Superman Punch". Reigns spears Kane over the announcers table, as a group of referees break things up.

- Brie Bella (w/Nikki Bella) vs. Tamina (w/Naomi): Brie hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. Brie hits the running knee and then goes for a second running knee. Tamina blocks the second one and plants Brie with a super kick. Tamina covers and scores the pin.

- Curtis Axel vs. "Macho" Man-dow: Mandow goes up top for the "Macho Elbow", but The Ascension interrupt the match with microphones. The Ascension say that this isn't entertaining, Axel and Sandow are laughed at not laughed with and are two delusional idiots trying to jump start their careers. The Ascension hit the ring and we have a brawl. Sandow and Axel team up and lay out The Ascension. Axel hits a leg drop on Viktor as Sandow goes to the top rope for the "Macho Elbow". Konnar and Viktor, however, escape the ring.

- Daniel Bryan is in the ring with a microphone. Bryan says he's had a lot of downtime again, thanks the fans for helping him earn the opportunity at last year's Wrestlemania for a world title shot, has been treated better from the fans then most backstage, announces that his current return status is indefinite, we deserve a fighting champion and officially announces he's vacated his WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- Big E (w/The New Day) vs. Cesaro (w/Tyson Kidd and Nattie Neidhart): Cesaro hits a suplex and goes for the "Cesaro Swing". Xavier Woods jumps on the apron, but gets kicked off by Tyson Kidd. Kofi Kingston sends Kidd off the apron. Meanwhile, Cesaro counters a pin and applies a crucifix roll up on Big E, scoring the pin.

- Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins: Rollins suicide dives onto Orton. Back in the ring, Orton hits the DDT and goes for the "RKO". Mercury and Noble hit the ring and attack Orton, DQ'ing Rollins. After the match, Orton sends Noble into the ringpost and lays out Mercury. Rollins attacks Orton from behind and lands a series of stomps. Kane appears and grabs a steel chair at ringside. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose hit the ring and attempt the save. Ambrose plants Rollins with "Dirty Deeds".
Kane, meanwhile, stays outside and watches Rollins take the beating. Reigns charges and spears Rollins in half. Orton steps in next and hits an "RKO" on Rollins. Kane still looks on and doesn't help Rollins. Reigns sends a message to Orton by dropping him with a spear. Ambrose sends a message to Reigns by dropping him with "Dirty Deeds". RAW closes out with Ambrose celebrating with his hometown fans.
