Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, brings you a special recap of NXT's Takeover: Unstoppable pay per view. The event took place at NXT's home base, Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.
- Hideo Itami was jumped in the parking lot by an unknown wrestler. Itami suffered a rotator cuff injury.
- "Number One Contender’s Match": Finn Balor vs. Tyler Breeze: Balor with a shoulder block for a near fall. Breeze comes back with a side head lock and a shoulder block for a near fall. Breeze follows with a head lock and a take down, but Balor drop kicks Breeze to the floor. Back in the ring, Balor unloads on Breeze with forearms, chops and a whip into the turn buckle. Balor gets sent to the floor with a springboard drop kick. Back in the ring, Breeze lands kicks, sends Balor into the turn buckle and gets a near fall neck breaker.
Breeze lands more kicks, applies a choke and lands a snapmare into a leg drop for a near fall. Breeze lands a sunset flip, but Balor counters with a drop kick, a running chop, a baseball slide and nails a double stomp. Balor lands a chop and a running enzuigiri for a near fall. Breeze counters a dragon sleeper submission. Balor hits "Slingblade", but Breeze counters back with a super kick for a near fall.
Breeze unties the turn buckle pad, lands a kick, some punches and a snap mare. Breeze misses the "Beauty Shot" and Balor misses the double stomp. Breeze and Balor both get near fall roll ups. Balor gets sent into the exposed turn buckle and Breeze hits the "Beauty Shot", but Balor kicks out at two. Out to the floor, Balor hits a clothesline on Breeze and then climbs the scaffold above the entrance. Balor leaps off the scaffold and hits the cross body block on Breeze. Back in the ring, Balor hits the running drop kick and hits the top rope double stomp to score the pin. Finn Balor is the number one contender to the NXT World Title.
- Charlotte and Bayley vs. Emma and Dana Brooke: Quick tags by both teams early. Bayley shoves Emma to the mat. Bayley hits a drop kick on both Emma and Dana. Bayley goes to the top rope, but is distracted by Dana. Emma knocks Bayley off the top rope for a near fall. Emma hits a kick and a head slam for a near fall. Dana and Emma tag in and out, landing kicks, knees, forearms, an irish whip and tossing Bayley by the hair. Emma gets a near fall cross body. Emma mocks Bayley with a hug then punches her.
Bayley finally tags in Charlotte. Charlotte hits Dana with chops, a neck breaker and a boot. Charlotte lands a cartwheel into a double clothesline on Emma and Dana, then plants both with a DDT. Emma hits Charlotte with an elbow, a boot and hits a cross body. Charlotte rolls through the cross body and applies the "Figure Eight" submission on Emma. The submission is broken as Bayley hits a belly to belly on Dana. Charlotte hits "Natural Selection" on Emma and scores the pin.
- Rhyno vs. Baron Corbin: Rhyno applies a head lock, a shoulder tackle, a kick and a clothesline sending Corbin to the floor. Corbin lands punches, kicks and knocks Rhyno off the top rope to the floor. Corbin tosses Rhyno into the apron, back into the ring, lands a kick, a couple irish whips, a forearm and gets a near fall. Corbin lands kicks and punches on Rhyno in the corner and is warned by the referee. Corbin puts Rhyno on the mat, lands punches and another near fall. Both men bump heads on a charge and are knocked out. Rhyno lands a back elbow, punches, a clothesline and an irish whip followed by a corner shoulder block. Corbin counters a belly to belly suplex with head butts, a kick and a punch. Rhyno lands a spine buster for a near fall. Rhyno hits a belly to belly suplex then goes for the gore. Corbin counters with a clothesline, followed by "End of Days". Corbin covers and scores the pin.
- Backstage, Kevin Owens brags about his three successful title defenses, taking out John Cena on RAW and tells Sami Zayn to not show up tonight or it'll be the last time we see him.
- "NXT World Tag Team Championship Match": Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady (w/Carmella): Enzo near fall rollup, a near fall cross body and a near fall standing drop kick. Cassady shoves off Murphy chops, lands a biel and a punch for a near fall. Enzo top rope cross body for a near fall. Murphy hits a clothesline on Enzo, giving Blake a near fall. Blake with a back breaker, a chin lock and puts Enzo on the mat. Murphy with a punch, a kick, a snap mare and a chin lock. Enzo dodges a Murphy charge, Murphy hits the ring post. Blake with a elbow and abdominal stretch on Enzo.
Enzo with an elbow and a near fall roll up. Blake and Murphy hit a power bomb combo move on Enzo for a near fall. Enzo counters a top rope suplex and plants Murphy with a flying DDT. Cassady is tagged in and hits a shoulder tackle, a splash, boots and a near fall leaping elbow on Blake. Cassady clotheslines Murphy and side slams Blake. Enzo and Cassady go for their rocket launcher finisher, but Alexa Bliss hits the ring and attacks Carmella on the floor. During the distraction, Murphy super kicks Cassady and Alexa shoves Enzo off the top rope. Blake covers and scores the pin. Murphy and Blake retain the NXT World Tag Team Titles.
- "NXT Women’s Championship Match": Sasha Banks (c) vs. Becky Lynch: Becky with a hammer lock, a drop toe hold and a near fall roll up. Both alternate near falls. Sasha with a near fall but Becky bridges out. Becky counters the thesz press and applies an arm bar submission. Becky with arm drags and works on the arm. Becky sends Sasha to the floor with a double jump side kick. Sasha pulls Becky to the floor and tosses her into the ring post. Becky gets a near fall cradle. Sasha with a cross arm clothesline for a near fall. Sasha applies the Japanese stranglehold submission but Becky refuses to give up. Sasha works on Becky's arm, stands on the arm and gets a near fall. Becky fires back with a wrist lock submission, a short arm scissors and a near fall. Sasha has the short arm scissors, but Becky rolls through and plants Sasha with a back drop driver. Becky hits a European uppercut, a clothesline, a drop kick, sends Sasha into the turnbuckle, hits another drop kick and gets a near fall.
Sasha hits a forearm, an arm drag, two double knee strikes and a near fall. Sasha is frustrated and slaps Becky. Out to the floor, Sasha goes shoulder first into the ring post. Becky with a hammer lock suplex, a leg drop on the arm and a wrist clutch suplex for a near fall. Sasha goes for a suplex, but Becky rolls through and applies an arm bar submission. Sasha escapes and sends Becky to the floor. Sasha goes for a suicide dive, but Becky catches her and plants her on the steel steps. Becky goes to the top rope, but Sasha hits "Divorce Court" and follows with the "Bank Statement" submission. Becky fights it but eventually taps out. Sasha retains the NXT Women's Title.
- "NXT World Title Match": Kevin Owens (c) vs. Sami Zayn: Owens and Zayn trade blows on the floor. Zayn forearm off the steps. Zayn clotheslines Owens back to the floor, counters an Owens power bomb and hits a back drop. Zayn hits punches and forearms. Owens comes back with punches and forearms. Back to the floor, Zayn sends Owens into the steel steps. Zayn sends Owens into the steel steps again, lands forearms and Owens falls over the barricade. Zayn and Owens fight toward the lobby, Zayn blocks a power bomb and Zayn back drops Owens back over the barricade.
Back in the ring, Zayn hits the "Blue Thunder Bomb" for a near fall. Zayn hits a half nelson suplex for a near fall. Owens counters a tornado DDT and hits a uranage. Owens misses the cannonball, Zayn hits the exploder, goes for the "Helluva Kick", but Owens rolls to the floor. Zayn flies at Owens, but Owens catches Zayn and pop up power bombs him on the apron. NXT officials check on Zayn, as that move put him down. NXT officials try to keep Owens back, but Owens keeps getting in hits on Zayn. Owens kicks Zayn, kicks Zayn in the head, lands punches and kicks while Zayn was placed against the steel steps and Owens tosses Zayn back in the ring. NXT officials try to stop Owens from doing more harm, but they are useless.
NXT GM William Regal hits the ring and tells Owens to stand down. Owens refuses so Regal grabs Owens by the face. Owens drops Regal with a head butt and grabs a steel chair. Owens chases out the referees and medical staff and measures up Zayn. Unfamiliar music hits, distracting Owens as he looks toward the entrance. Ladies and gentlemen it's the debuting.....SAMOA JOE!!! Joe gets in the ring and goes nose to nose with Owens. Owens eventually backs down and leaves the ring, closing out NXT Takeover: Unstoppable with Samoa Joe staring down Owens.
