Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. It's this week's TNA Impact recap for the week.
- This week's Impact was taped at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. This week was the made for tv pay per view of Destination X.
- Impact kicks off with Ethan Carter III and Tyrus interrupting the TNA World Heavyweight Championship ring entrances. EC3 complains that there are two World Title matches tonight, but he's the #1 Contender and not in either of them. EC3 sits in a chair in the ring and cancels Destination X. Kurt Angle comes out and says the fans want wrestling not a whiney bitch. EC3 threatens to end Angle's career. Angle dares him and threatens to snap his ankle. EC3 and Tyrus back down and leave. - "TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match": Kurt Angle (c) vs. Rockstar Spud: The match closes out with Spud hitting his underdog finisher, but gets a near fall. Spud looked to have tweeked his ankle and Angle goes right after it. Angle locks Spud in the ankle lock and Spud fights for his life. Spud eventually taps out and Angle retains the World Title. After the match, Austin Aries appeared with his feast or fired briefcase and held it up as a reminder to Angle. - The Dollhouse appear on the TNA Impact stage. Taryn Terrell says she'll give Awesome Kong a shot at the TNA Knockout's Championship, however, it'll be a lingerie pillow fight. Marti and Jade laugh and hold up what Kong has to wear. - "TNA X Division Championship Qualifying, Triple Threat Match": Low Ki vs. Manik vs. Crazy Steve: The match closes out with Low Ki going to the top rope and flying off, hitting the double stomp on Manik. Low Ki covers and scores the pin.- Backstage, Grado is trying to work out to make X Division weight, but falls over a production case and runs off to the bathroom.
- We get confirmation that Mickie James wasn't hurt last week when James Storm shoved her off of a train platform.
- "TNA X-Division Championship Qualifying, Triple Threat Match": Mandrews vs. DJ Z vs. Tigre Uno: The match closes out with Tiger Uno shoving DJ Z off the top rope. Uno goes up top, hits the 450 corkscrew on Mandrews, covers and scores the pin. After the match, Jessie Godderz hits the ring and attacks DJ Z.- Backstage, more Grado workouts. Grado tries communicating with Tiger Uno, but fails and gives up. Uno calls Grado a jackass after Grado leaves.
- The Dollhouse are in the ring with a bed, pillows and lights hanging. Taryn Terrell again says Awesome Kong must wear lingerie if she wants a title shot. Kong comes out and beats down Jade and Marti. Brooke makes her way to the ring with lingerie and has no problem fighting Terrell in any match. Terrell declined the challenge because it was ment for Kong. Brooke hits Terrell with a forearm and punches her on the bed. Brooke rips off Terrell's robe and says she'll rip the Knockouts Championship off of her the same way.- Backstage, Bobby Roode and Austin Aries hype their tag team title pursuit. Roode tells Aries to focus on Kurt Angle and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship tonight.
- Backstage, Grado weighs in and then is told that the X-Division has no weight limits and his match is next.
- "TNA X-Division Championship Qualifying, Triple Threat Match": Kenny King vs. Cruz vs. Grado: The match closes out with Grado pulling off the upset win.- Backstage, Bram grabs a camera after taking out a cameraman and says Destination X is a stupid name. His destination is him heading to the ring to make history.
- Bram is in the ring with a microphone. Bram talks about Slammiversary history, how he hates history and anyone from TNA in the past. Bram challenges any past TNA wrestler.- Bram vs. Crimson: The match closes out with Crimson applying a submission hold but Bram makes it to the ropes. Bram hits his finisher and picks up the pin.
- Backstage, Ethan Carter III says Angle dared him to hit him first. EC3 promises that when he does Angle won't get up.
- "TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match": Kurt Angle (c) vs. Austin Aries: The match closes out with both Angle and Aries applying ankle locks on each other. Aries goes for a suicide dive, but kisses the barricade after Angle moves. Back in the ring, Angle goes for the Angle Slam, but Aries counters with a near fall roll up. Angle finally gets Aries locked in the ankle lock and applies the pressure. Aries has no choice but to tap out. Angle retains the World Title. After the match, Ethan Carter III hit the ring and beat down Angle. Impact closes out with EC3 grabbing the TNA World Title and raising it into the air.
