Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 10/3/17: RAW: Denver Recap

It's the beginning of the week and time to kick things off in wrestling with Monday Night RAW, live from Denver, Colorado. After suffering a beat down from The Miztourage last week, Roman Reigns is back with a title shot against The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Seth Rollins looks to do what Dean Ambrose failed at doing last week and defeating Braun Strowman. 

** Monday Night RAW Card **

- WWE RAW World Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins battled Braun Strowman.
- Elias battled Titus O'Neil.
- Nia Jax battled Mickie James.
- Matt Hardy and Jason Jordan battled Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
- WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz defended his title against Roman Reigns.
- Sasha Banks and Bayley battled Emma and Alicia Fox.

** RAW **

- RAW kicks off with the entire RAW roster on the stage and a moment of silence is asked for the victims of the Las Vegas Shooting that happened Sunday night.

- Braun Strowman vs. Seth Rollins: The match closes out with Rollins connecting with a couple springboards, but Braun won't go down. Rollins hits a top rope blockbuster for a near fall. Rollins super kicks Braun to one knee and plants another kick to the face. Braun counters the next move and hits a clothesline on Rollins. Braun with the running power slam on Rollins and Braun scores the pinfall.
Winner: Braun Strowman, by pinfall.

- After the match, Braun hits another running power slam on Rollins. Braun attempts a third, but Dean Ambrose hits the ring. Ambrose unloads, but eventually gets choke slammed by Braun. Braun with a second choke slam and the running power slam leaves Ambrose laid out next to Rollins. Sheamus and Cesaro hit the ring next and target Ambrose and Rollins. Cesaro hits The Neutralizer on Ambrose and Sheamus hits the Brogue Kick on Rollins to end the segment.

- Backstage, Alicia Fox tells Mickie James that no one was listening to her last week. Emma tells Mickie that someone left her a gift in the dressing room. Mickie finds a box of depends and demands to know where Alexa Bliss is. Mickie finds Bliss' locker room, but Nia Jax stops her from entering and ends up getting a match with Nia for tonight.

- Backstage, Bray Wyatt is rocking in his rocking chair and claims that "she" told him to put down his bow and arrow and he'd never be lied to.

- Elias vs. Titus O'Neil: The match closes out with Titus arguing with the referee as Elias shoves Apollo Crews outside. The referee is distracted by Crews trying to get Elias. Elias lands a cheap shot on Titus and then hits Drift Away for the pinfall.
Winner: Elias Samson, by pinfall.

- Nia Jax vs. Mickie James: The match closes out with Mickie going after Nia's legs and brings Nia to a knee. Nia sends Mickie into the corner. Mickie lands a kick on Nia while perched on the turnbuckle and then hits a tornado DDT. Alexa Bliss hits the ring and attacks Mickie, causing a DQ.
Winner: Mickie James, by DQ.

- After the match, Alexa tosses Mickie outside. Alexa checks on Nia then goes after Mickie, but gets dropped with a Mick Kick to end the segment.

- Backstage, Enzo Amore is asked about what happened last week. Enzo doesn't say a word and acts like his feelings are hurt.

- Backstage, RAW GM Kurt Angle informs Mickie James that she'll face Alexa Bliss at WWE TLC for the WWE RAW Women's Championship.

- Matt Hardy and Jason Jordan vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: The match closes out with Hardy unloading on Gallows and then hits a tornado DDT. Hardy with an elbow off the second rope, but Anderson stops the pinfall. Jordan dropkicks Anderson outside and follows. Anderson tosses Jordan into the barricade as Gallows counters the Twist of Fate by Hardy. Anderson and Gallows hit the Magic Killer to score the pinfall.
Winners: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Roman Reigns is interviewed. Reigns comments on Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins getting revenge on Sheamus and Cesaro and then hypes his match with The Miz tonight.

- Dana Warrior and the Women's Division are in the ring for Breast Cancer Month. Dana presents pink WWE RAW Women's Championships to the breast cancer survivors in the ring that are being recognized.

- "WWE Intercontinental Championship Match": The Miz (c) vs. Roman Reigns: The match closes out with The Miz unloading Yes Kicks. Reigns catches a kick and hits a sitdown power bomb on Miz for a near fall. Miz counters the Superman Punch and hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Reigns for a near fall. Miz charges at Reigns, but eats a Superman Punch for a near fall. Reigns goes for the spear, but Sheamus and Cesaro suddenly grab Reigns and pull him outside for the DQ.
Winner: Roman Reigns, by DQ, The Miz retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- After the match, Sheamus, Cesaro and The Miz triple team Reigns. Cesaro hits The Neutralizer, Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick and Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale. Sheamus, Cesaro and Miz then mock The Shield by hitting a triple power bomb on Reigns to end the segment.

- Finn Balor Promo: Balor says he's going to be honest he doesn't like to come out and talk, he likes to come out and fight. Balor says that Bray Wyatt likes to come out and play mind games, but Balor doesn't buy it for a second. Balor says that Wyatt may call himself a God and the Eater of Worlds, but Balor sees him as a coward. Balor says that Bray is afraid that he can't beat him, despite all of his games and then challenges Bray. The Wyatt Family graphic flashes and we see Bray rocking in his chair on the TitanTron. Bray says that "she" didn't lie to him but Balor did. Bray says that Sister Abigail is alive and she wants to meet Balor. Bray begins to laugh along with a woman's voice that laughs with him to end the segment.

- Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Emma and Alicia Fox: The match closes out with Sasha counters a tilt a whirl from Alicia and gets a near fall. Sasha sends Alicia into Emma and hot tags Bayley. Bayley unloads on Alicia and then hits the corner elbow. Alicia hits a jawbreaker on Bayley, goes for the tag, but Emma refuses and walks out of the match. Alicia gets hit with the Bayley To Belly from Bayley for the pinfall.
Winners: Sasha Banks and Bayley, by pinfall. 

- Enzo Amore Promo: Enzo says that as far as the entire cruiserweight division is concerned, they can go to hell and anyone who agrees with them can go to hell too. Enzo says he put 205 Live on the map, made 205 Live relevant and has main evented RAW two weeks in a row now. Enzo says he deserves the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and it sounds like everyone is jealous of him. Enzo announces that if any cruiserweight touches him tonight, they will be fired. Neville suddenly interrupts with the cruiserweight division.

The Cruiserweights all surround Enzo in the ring and Enzo begins talking trash and mocking every single one of them. Kurt Angle suddenly interrupts and makes it clear that they all broke the no touching Enzo clause last week, so none of them can get a match for the title ever. Angle then announces that this however doesn't stand for the newest member of 205 Live that he's about to introduce. Angle introduces Kalisto, who arrives and hits the ring. Kalisto ducks an Enzo clothesline, lands a kick and then plants Enzo with Salida Del Sol. Kalisto does his "lucha" chant to end the segment.

- Backstage, Roman Reigns is shown hurting from his attack earlier. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins suddenly appear and all three men stand next to each other. All three men nod in agreement and it's looks like The Shield might be reuniting to end the show.
