Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 4.12.16: RAW

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with the RAW Recap Edition. 

This week's RAW was live in Los Angeles, California at the world famous Staples Center. This week's RAW brought back the special guest host segment of the show. This week's special RAW guest host was the one and only Dr. Phil McGraw, or just simply Dr. Phil. Shane McMahon returned and was again running things on RAW. Kevin Owens battled Cesaro with the winner earning the right to fight The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. A tournament to crown new #1 contenders to the WWE World Tag Team Championship took place. Chris Jericho has an edition of the Highlight Reel with himself as the special guest. Apollo Crews battled Adam Rose of the Social Outcasts. In the main event, Bray Wyatt of the Wyatt Family teamed up with Roman Reigns to battle Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio.

- Shane McMahon Promo: Shane kicks off RAW and says he gets to run RAW again this week, thanks to all the love on social media. Shane announces Nattie Neidhart vs. Charlotte for the WWE Women's Championship, a tournament to crown new #1 contenders to the WWE World Tag Team Championship and Sami Zayn will face AJ Styles. If Zayn wins he'll be added to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Payback. Kevin Owens interrupts, says he's being screwed because he never got his rematch after losing the WWE Intercontinental Championship and he wants it now. Shane says Owens is getting screwed just like Owens screwed Sami Zayn last week. Shane says Owens had plenty of opportunities and if he wants his rematch than he'll have to beat Cesaro.

- "#1 Contenders Match For The WWE Intercontinental Championship": Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro: The match closes out with Owens locking Cesaro in a crossface submission, but Cesaro counters into a near fall rollup and then locks Owens in the Sharpshooter submission. Owens reaches the ropes for the break, lands a super kick and hits a near fall frog splash on Cesaro. Owens goes for the pop up power bomb, but Cesaro leap frogs Owens and hits a springboard european uppercut. Cesaro goes for the Cesaro Swing, but can't continue the move due to shoulder pain caused in the match. Owens goes for the pop up power bomb again, but Cesaro counters, hits The Neutralizer and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Cesaro, by pinfall, to become #1 contender to The Miz and the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- Backstage, Charlotte is complaining to Ric Flair about defending her title tonight. Flair isn't sure who he's more disgusted with, Shane McMahon or Nattie Neidhart. Dr. Phil interrupts and says he's proud of Charlotte's progress, but Charlotte needs to get rid of daddy in her corner and stand on her own two feet. Charlotte storms off mad as Dr. Phil and Flair trade wooooooo's at each other.

- Backstage, Kevin Owens tells Shane McMahon that he was screwed again tonight and what ever happens to Sami Zayn later is on Shane. Shane says it ain't happening and gets Owens escorted out of the building.

- "#1 Contenders Tag Team Tournament": The Lucha Dragons vs The Dudley Boys: Before the match The New Day wonder who will win the tournament cause there are so many teams and this is all brought to you by Booty O's cereal. The match closes out with The Dudley Boys working over Sin Cara, until Sin Cara comes back with a springboard crossbody. Sin Cara lands a back elbow on Bubba and a springboard moonsault on Devon. Bubba blind tags in, the Dudleys hit 3-D and score the pinfall. After the match, Enzo and Big Cass arrive and talk trash to the Dudleys again.
Bubba calls them young punks and the Dudleys paved the way for guys like them. Devon reminds us that the Dudleys are the best team in wrestling. Enzo and Big Cass disagree and spell out what they think the Dudleys are.....SAWFT.
Winners: The Dudley Boys, by pinfall, to advance to the Final Four.

- Backstage, we see Kevin Owens being escorted from the building by security.

- Roman Reigns Promo: Reigns again says he's THE guy, he respects AJ Styles and Sami Zayn for winning titles all over the world, but Reigns plans on being the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for a long time. The League of Nations interrupt and Sheamus says Reigns wouldn't be so confident if it was an LON member he was facing. Reigns says he's not intimidated. Sheamus wasn't happy about not being included in the fatal four way last week. Rusev says he's stronger and better looking than Reigns. Alberto Del Rio says any of the LON could kick Reigns' ass. Reigns dares them to prove it. The LON hit the ring and a 3-on-1 brawl breaks out. The lights go out and The Wyatt Family arrive. Reigns and The Wyatts clear the LON from the ring. Reigns and Bray Wyatt go nose to nose when suddenly Shane McMahon comes out and announces Reigns and Bray Wyatt vs. The League of Nations in the main event.

- "WWE Women's Championship Match: Charlotte (c) vs. Nattie Neidhart: Dr. Phil was at ringside for this match to commentate. The match closes out with Charlotte hitting a suplex, but missing a moonsault on Nattie. Nattie locks Charlotte in the Sharpshooter submission and Ric Flair tries to help Charlotte escape. Flair pulls the referee to the floor and argues with him, making the referee miss Charlotte tap out in the ring. The referee finally calls for the bell and DQ's Charlotte. After the match, Dr. Phil says he's still not happy with Charlotte, but is happy for the new Women's Division.
Winner: Nattie Neidhart, by DQ.

- Backstage, Sami Zayn talks about Kevin Owens stealing his opportunity, but Sami has heart and soul, something Owens can't take. AJ Styles interrupts, but says he agrees with Zayn, but Styles is the #1 Contender and will keep it that way.

- #1 Contenders Tag Team Tournament: The Usos vs. Curtis Axel and Heath Slater: The match closes out with Slater and Axel in control. Slater and Axel think they have the match about wrapped up so they both go outside and run a victory lap. Slater gets back in the ring and gets rolled up by Jey for the pinfall. After the match, the debuting Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson jump the barricade and viciously beat down both Usos.
Winners: The Usos, by pinfall, to advance to the Final Four.

- Backstage, Maryse is yelling at a crew member because of The Miz's M&M's having too many colors of what he doesn't like. The Miz says he's not worried about Cesaro. Cesaro appears and says Miz is getting a red carpet of european uppercuts.

- "If Sami Zayn Wins He'll Be Included In The WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match At WWE Payback": AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn: The match closes out with Zayn ducking the springboard forearm and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb on Styles for a near fall. Styles locks in the Calf Crusher submission, but Zayn makes it to the bottom rope to break the hold. Styles goes for a sunset flip off the ropes, but Zayn counters and hits a dropkick. Styles blocks the Helluva Kick and hits the springboard forearm for the pinfall.
Winner: AJ Styles, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Shane McMahon congratulates Sami Zayn and AJ Styles on one hell of a match. Zayn and Styles shake hands and Zayn wishes Styles good luck.

- The Highlight Reel With Special Guest, Chris Jericho himself: Jericho says this is the biggest Highlight Reel ever and introduces himself as the guest. Jericho says he's here to give us the gift of his presence, no one can touch him right now and continues to brag about how great he is. Dean Ambrose interrupts with a sign and a plant in hand. Ambrose says he got a memo from Shane McMahon stating the Highlight Reel is cancelled and we are about to witness the Ambrose Asylum Show. Ambrose takes over and intros Jericho as his guest, angering Jericho. Ambrose makes fun of Jericho's scarf and is interrupting him the way Jericho did to Ambrose on SmackDown. Jericho says he'll bury Ambrose, Jericho is a legend, Jericho will do and say what he wants and Ambrose needs to get his stupid ass out of his ring. Ambrose asks about Jericho's scarf again, forcing Jericho to smack the microphone out of Ambrose's hand. Ambrose kicks Jericho in the gut and hits Dirty Deeds to end the segment.

- Apollo Crews vs. Adam Rose: The match closes out with Crews hitting a suplex and landing some shots on Rose. Bo Dallas distracts Crews allowing Rose to try to take advantage. Crews hits an enziguri and knocks out Rose. Crews hits the Apollo Bomb on Rose and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Apollo Crews, by pinfall.

- Backstage, R-Truth says he got he and Goldust into the tournament, but Dr. Phil says it was his idea. Dr. Phil decides that no advice can help Truth or Goldust so he walks away.

- Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio: The match closes out with Bray hooking Sister Abigail on Del Rio, but it's blocked. Reigns sends Sheamus to the floor, then follows. Reigns jumps off the steel steps and goes for the Superman Punch, but Sheamus blocks it and sends Reigns into the steel steps. Rusev interferes without the referee seeing and lands a thrust kick on Bray. Del Rio hits the Backstabber on Bray and gets a near fall. The lights go out, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman arrive and take out Rusev. Del Rio goes for the cross arm breaker submission on Bray, but Bray counters with Sister Abigail. Reigns spears Sheamus and Bray scores the pinfall. After the match, all three Wyatt's have a stare down with Reigns to close the show.
Winners: Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns, by pinfall.
