*** Weekend Flashback ***
- With WWE Extreme Rules coming up at the end of April, thought I'd go back to where it all started. WWE Extreme Rules, started out as ECW One Night Stand, then switched over to WWE One Night Stand, once ECW 2.0 ended. With WWE going PG, it changed the One Night Stand name to Extreme Rules, due to the One Night Stand name not being PG friendly. So here is John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at ECW One Night Stand.
*** WWE News and Rumors ***
- First off, if you missed Wrestlemania 31, be sure to check out my recap of the Super Bowl of Wrestling.
- A.J. Lee officially announced her retirement from WWE this past Friday. The reasoning behind this is unknown at this time. Rumors have stated that some think that she's pregnant, others think its because of WWE's current legal issues with her husband, CM Punk. Best of luck to you A.J.
- A.J. Lee also announced on Twitter that she's written a book and expects it published soon.
- After Wrestlemania 31, Undertaker, stated that he felt great before and after the match. Which means there is a possibility Taker wrestles at Wrestlemania 32, next year. It was noted that Taker and Sting shared a locker room together at Wrestlemania 31 and had talked a lot about a possible match at Wrestlemania 32.- Sources are saying that Roman Reigns' family is upset over the outcome of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match at Wrestlemania. Reigns' family was watching live at Levi's Stadium and were expecting Reigns to win the title. Apparently they've never seen a WWE wrestling event and don't understand that changes can happen at the drop of a hat.
- After RAW went off the air on Monday, Sting was interviewed inside the ring. Sting stated he's unsure with what direction WWE will take him next, or if there are even any plans at all for him. Bo Dallas interrupted Sting's interview and ended up getting laid out by The Icon with a "Scorpion Death Drop".- Brock Lesnar was suspended indefinitely this past RAW by Stephanie McMahon. Sources are saying, Lesnar, will probably be off TV now until SummerSlam season. It's unknown if Paul Heyman will be used as his mouth piece until then, like he normally is.
- Sources are saying that the WWE is in the process of making a new WWE United States Championship belt.- UFC President, Dana White, stated that he knew about Ronda Rousey making an in-ring appearance at Wrestlemania 31. Rumors were esculating that Dana knew nothing about it.
- WWE announced they will be doing another live Podcast on WWE Network, on April 6th. This time it'll be Chris Jericho's podcast and he will be interviewing John Cena.- It was announced that Paige and The Miz will star in a movie together called Santa's Little Helper.
- Rumors going around is now that Wrestlemania 31 is over, WWE will be making a lot of NXT and main roster releases soon.
- WWE Diva, Tamina Snuka, is expected to return to action soon. Snuka has been out since June of 2014, due to knee surgery.- WWE announced that they have parted ways with NXT's C.J. Parker.
- This past week on Impact, The Wolves officially vacated the TNA World Tag Team Championship, due to Eddie Edwards' injury. Edwards suffered a broken heel.
- TNA has recently released Eric Bischoff's son, Garrett Bischoff. Bischoff hasn't been seen on tv since November of 2013, as a member of Aces and Eights.
- TNA announced that they will hold a traditional pay per view on demand in June. TNA will have their annual TNA Slammiversary event. TNA will also show their annual Bound For Glory event on demand in October.
*** GFW News and Rumors ***
- Jeff Jarrett has officially announced three dates for GFW in the near future. Live from the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, GFW will have shows on July 24th, August 21st and October 23rd. GFW have teamed up with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Mexico's AAA and federations in Europe, Australia and Africa.
*** Other Wrestling News ***
- Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Scott Steiner was said to have been banned from the WWE Hall of Fame event. No details have been given, except a story going around that Steiner had an ugly incident with Hulk Hogan's wife on a plane recently.
- Samoa Joe of Ring of Honor wrestling, and formerly of TNA, stated that he would love to have a match against Brock Lesnar at a future Wrestlemania.- ACH of Ring of Honor wrestling has been recently added to the WWE's radar of talent to sign.
