Inside The Batter's Box 4.14.15: #Indians vs. #WhiteSox Preview

By @B_Rock1978

Well Tribe fans, I know it's still early in the season, but the Tigers sweeping us really hurt. That's not how you want to open the season against a Central Division rival. Time to forgive and forget and move on to the next series. Another central division rival, the Chicago White Sox, come to town next. The ChiSox come to Progressive Field for a short two game series, Tuesday and Wednesday. I'll be in person at the stadium Wednesday afternoon, for the 12:05pm game. Be sure to check out the Triple Threat CLE Facebook page, as I'll post a few pictures from the game. Here is your preview of the Tribe vs. ChiSox series.

* ChiSox Highlights vs. Twins *

- J.B. Shuck: Shuck was the hero in game 2 in the ChiSox series against the Minnesota Twins. Shuck singled and drove in the go ahead run in the 8th inning, capping the win for the ChiSox.
- Avisail Garcia: Garcia, had a good game 2 as he went 2 for 4, with 1 RBI.
- Geovany Sato: Sato went 2 for 3 with a homer and 1 RBI, in game 2.
- Adam LaRoche and Alexei Ramirez: LaRoche and Ramirez led the way in a game 3 win as both men went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. LaRoche added a homer to his stats.
- Chris Sale: Sale had a great outing on the mound in game 3. Sale took the win, pitching 6 innings with 1 ER, 8 strikeouts and a walk.

* Tribe Highlights vs. Tigers *

- Jerry Sands: Sands had an explosive game 2, against the Detroit Tigers. Sands went 3 for 4 with 4 RBI. 2 of those 3 hits went for doubles.
- Carlos Santana: Santana went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and a free pass in game 1. Santana returned in game 3, going 2 for 5 with 1 RBI.
- Corey Kluber: "Klubot" pitched 6 1/3 innings, giving up 2 ER, 10 strikeouts and 1 walk. But got a no decision in game 2.
- Ryan Raburn: Raburn had a good game 3, going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. One of those hits going for a double.

***Starters For The Series ***

* ChiSox *

Game 1: Jose Quintana (0-0), takes the mound for the ChiSox on Tuesday. Quintana comes in with a 9.00 ERA, with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk on the season so far.

Game 2: John Danks (0-1), will pitch in Wednesday afternoon's game. Danks has a 6.35 ERA, with 1 strikeout and 1 walk on the season.

* Indians *

Game 1: Carlos Carrasco (1-0), will take the mound on Tuesday. Carrasco comes in with a perfect ERA, with 10 strikeouts and 1 walk on the season.

Game 2: Trevor Bauer (1-0), takes Wednesday afternoon's game. Bauer also has a perfect ERA, with 11 strikeouts and 5 walks.

Looking at this series, the Tribe really needs to take both of these games from the ChiSox. The sweep by the Tigers seemed to take a little bit of wind out of the Tribe's sails. The Tribe need to prove that they can take a beating and bounce right back a huge threat to the next team on the schedule. So there you go, there is your preview for the Tribe vs ChiSox series. Continue to join me all season, with Inside The Batter's Box. I'll bring you series previews, recaps, videos and pictures, on the Triple Threat CLE Twitter and Facebook pages.
