Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 4.14.15: #RAW Recap

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. It's the RAW recap from last night's show.

- This week's RAW took place in jolly ol' London, England.

- In Ring Promo with John Cena: John Cena issues the WWE United States Championship Open Challenge, to kick off RAW. Bad News Barrett, with huge cheers from his native England fan base, asks for a shot at the title.

- "WWE United States Championship Match": John Cena (c) vs. Bad News Barrett: Cena applies the "STF", but Barrett makes the ropes for a break. Barrett lands two solid kicks and gets a near fall. Barrett is able to hit another kick and "Wasteland" for another near fall. Cena blocks the "Bullhammer", hits the "AA", but Barrett kicks out at two. Barrett counters another "AA", hits the "Bullhammer", but Cena kicks out at two. Barrett goes for another "Bullhammer", but Cena counters with the springboard stunner. Cena hits "AA", covers and scores the pinfall to retain the WWE United States Championship.

- After The Match: Lana appears and distracts Cena, allowing Rusev to attack Cena from behind and beat Cena down with a chain. Lana announces The Authority granted Rusev a Russian Chain Match at Extreme Rules for the WWE United States Championship, against John Cena.

- #1 Contender's Divas Battle Royal": Alicia Fox, Cameron, Naomi and Paige were the final four. Naomi hits a double "Rear View" on Cameron and Fox. Paige eliminates Cameron, as Naomi eliminates Fox. Back and forth action between Naomi and Paige. Naomi kicks Paige, but misses the "Rear View" attempt. Paige hits a kick and tosses Naomi for the elimination. Paige is the #1 Contender to the WWE Divas Championship.

- In Ring Promo with Paige: Paige talks about coming up in the WWE, how it feels winning the battle royal in her home country and in front of her family. Naomi hits Paige from behind and lays the beating down on her. Naomi repeatedly throws Paige into the barricade, slaps Paige and talks trash before finally leaving.

- Backstage, Bray Wyatt sends a message to an unknown opponent. He's going to rip the love out of their body and replace it with good ol' fashioned fear. Fear is stronger than love. FOLLOW THE BUZZARDS!

- Lucha Dragons vs. The Ascension: Kalisto makes the hot tag, unloads on Viktor and gets a near fall. Kalisto tosses Konnor to the floor and lays out Viktor. Sin Cara flies and takes Konnor out on the floor. Both Lucha Dragons are back in the ring and hit their double team finisher on Viktor to score the pinfall. LUCHA LUCHA LUCHA!!

- In Ring Promo with Roman Reigns: Reigns says Brock Lesnar brought a brutal fight at Wrestlemania, Reigns took it to Lesnar like he said he would've and proved that he could've won if not for Seth Rollins. Reigns says he's beaten Rollins before, so he considers himself the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Reigns talks about Big Show screwing Reigns out of a future title shot and calls Show a giant bitch. Show appears on the TitanTron and brags about his wins, Reigns' failures and will make sure Reigns continues to fail. Reigns calls Show sack less, will shove Show's Andre The Giant trophy down his throat and retire him permanently. BELIEVE THAT!

- After The Promo: Show comes out of nowhere and attacks Reigns on the stage. Show tosses Reigns into the RAW LED board, then into the taxi prop, parked on the stage. Show puts Reigns on the roof of the taxi, then choke slams Reigns through the roof of the taxi.

- Randy Orton vs. Cesaro: Tyson Kidd ends up getting involved in this one, giving Orton the DQ win. That was until Kane came out. Kane restarts the match but makes it a handicap match.

- "Handicap Match": Randy Orton vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd: Orton hits the hanging DDT on Kidd. Cesaro pulls Kidd to safety before Orton can hit an "RKO". Orton chases the duo outside, but gets double teamed. Kidd hits an elbow drop for a near fall. Orton returns and hits Cesaro with the power slam and hits Kidd with the "RKO". Orton covers Kidd and scores the pinfall.

- Backstage, Seth Rollins refuses to face Dolph Ziggler tonight. Instead he wants to face Noble and Noble will lay down for him. Noble disagrees and suggests Kane should lay down since Kane has caused all of The Authority's faults. Rollins agrees, says Kane has no choice and Kane walks off pissed.

- Adam Rose vs. Dean Ambrose: Ambrose hits the bulldog, goes for the top rope elbow, but Rose rolls outside. Ambrose suicide dives Rose on the floor and brings the fight back in the ring. Ambrose hits the slingshot clothesline and "Dirty Deeds" on Rose to score the pinfall.

- Backstage, Big Show tries to talk some sense into Kane, about what is the right thing to do. Kane says he's facing Seth Rollins and will do what's best for business.

- Stardust vs. Fandango: Fandango misses the top rope leg drop. Stardust capitalizes and hits the "Disaster Kick" to score the pinfall.

- After The Match: Fandango says he's figured out why he keeps losing. Cause he's not dancing with the whole world. His old theme music hits and the crowd all start humming to the music.

- Backstage, Daniel Bryan tells Kane he's disappointed in him. Kane tells Bryan to leave. Bryan says that if Kane is a man he'll refuse to lie down to Seth Rollins later. 

- Seth Rollins vs. Kane: Kane gets in Rollins' face, but lays down. Rollins covers, but Kane kicks out at two. Kane lays out Mercury and Noble and goes for the choke slam on Rollins. Rollins orders him to stop, but Kane drives him to hell. Kane signals for the "Tombstone", but has second thoughts. Kane lays down and let's Rollins score the pinfall. Kane storms off after the match.

- The Miz vs. Damien Sandow: Miz lands some stomps on Sandow. Miz gets distracted by Summer Rae at ringside and gets laid out by Sandow's backbreaker/neck breaker combo. Miz counters the "Skull Crushing Finale", but Sandow counters the counter with a rollup and scores the pinfall.

- Backstage, the Prime Time Players poke fun at Los Matadores and El Torito.

- Ryback vs. Luke Harper: Harper hits a gator roll on Ryback. Ryback catches Harper and plants him with a power bomb. Ryback goes for the "Meat Hook", but Harper rolls to the floor. Ryback follows and wins by DQ, after Harper hits Ryback with the top of the announcers table cover.

- After The Match: Dean Ambrose hits the ring and unloads on Harper. Ambrose goes for "Dirty Deeds" but Harper escapes.

- Backstage, Naomi acts like she's sorry for attacking Paige, but then laughs about it. Naomi feels she should be #1 Contender, says A.J. Lee was never a legend and Naomi is taking her opportunities without asking now.

- Dolph Ziggler vs. Neville: Ziggler hits a huge super kick on Neville for a near fall. Neville fights back and goes for "Red Arrow". Ziggler dodges, forcing Neville to land on his feet. Ziggler hits "Zig Zag" and scores the pinfall.

- After The Match: Ziggler helps Neville up, but Ziggler gets attacked from behind by Sheamus. Sheamus hits a "Brogue Kick" on Neville, but Ziggler returns fire on Sheamus. Ziggler and Sheamus go to the floor, where Ziggler leaps off the announcers table on Sheamus. Sheamus knocks Ziggler out with a "Brogue Kick" and poses.

- In Ring Promo with The Authority: Since both Rollins and Orton won their matches tonight, they both get to add stipulations to their Extreme Rules match. Randy Orton comes out to make his decision. Rollins chooses to ban the "RKO" in their match. Orton chooses to ban The Authority from the match by making it a Steel Cage Match. Rollins is livid but says he's not scared. The Authority end up attacking Orton, but Orton fights back. Orton throws Mercury and Noble to the floor, then power slams Rollins. Mercury saves Rollins from a hanging DDT, but gets an "RKO" for his troubles. The Authority retreat as Orton stares Rollins down, ending RAW.
