Wrestling Lockup with Brandon brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. It's the Smackdown results from last night's show. Last night's show took place in Liverpool, England, as part of the WWE European Tour. Last night's show consisted of the return of Chris Jericho and The Highlight Reel. Dolph Ziggler defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship in an elimination match against Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. Main event time saw Ryback taking on Kane. All that and more, let's get to the results.
- The Highlight Reel: Chris Jericho kicks off Smackdown with The Highlight Reel. Jericho's guests are Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Jericho and The Authority trade insults back and forth with each other. Jericho shows a clip of Vickie Guerrero tossing Steph in a mud pit. Triple H isn't amused, tells Jericho that they don't need his acceptance, they will be the last ones laughing and maybe Jericho should pander to the fans next time he wants to come back. Jericho says he'll be having fun and singing the "Goodbye" song when The Authority loses at Survivor Series.
- Bray Wyatt vs. Sin Cara: Squash match as Bray hits a splash in the corner then "Sister Abigail" for the pinfall.
- Bray Wyatt preaches to Dean Ambrose: Bray has a mic and says he hears Dean screaming, is constantly disappointed with an absent father, Dean can be fixed and the darkness doesn't have to continue because Bray can be his light. Dean Ambrose hits the ring as Bray leaves and continues preaching to Dean. Bray gets back in the ring, ducks an Ambrose punch and retreats again.
- Adam Rose and The Bunny vs. Goldust and Stardust: Rose trades series' with Goldust and Stardust both before tagging in The Bunny. Bunny hits Stardust with some punches and a drop kick, ignores Rose's plea to be tagged back in and climbs the ropes. Bunny splash off the top rope but Stardust gets the knees up and connects with Bunny's gut. Stardust hits Bunny with "Dark Matter" and scores the pinfall. After the match, Rose yells at Bunny for not listening, kicks Bunny and drops him with the "Party Foul". Rose again leaves Bunny and goes off to party with the Rosebuds.
- Dolph Ziggler Backstage Interview: Ziggler talks about all The Authority obstacles he's been through, going down swinging tonight when he defends his WWE Intercontinental Championship, stealing the show and helping Team Cena defeat The Authority at Survivor Series.
- Ryback Backstage Interview: Ryback says he's on his own team and that's all he cares about. Talks about both Team Cena and The Authority trying to recruit him on this past RAW and taking out Kane tonight because it's near feeding time.
- "WWE Intercontinental Championship, Three Way Elimination Match": Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Cesaro: Cesaro gutwrench slam for a near fall. Ziggler tosses Cesaro into the corner and hits Kidd with the "Famasser" for a near fall. Cesaro trades blows with Kidd until getting splashed by Ziggler for a near fall. Ziggler hits double splashes, a neck breaker on Kidd and a DDT on Cesaro for a near fall. The trio hit a tower of doom and everyone is knocked out. Kidd locks Cesaro in the "Sharpshooter". Cesaro, while locked in the submission, crawls over and covers Ziggler for a near fall as Kidd breaks the pinfall.
Kidd locks Ziggler in the "Sharpshooter" and Cesaro applies the "Crossface" on Ziggler at the same time. Kidd breaks up everything. Cesaro goes for the "Giant Swing" on Kidd but gets hit with "Zig Zag" by Ziggler. Kidd throws Ziggler outside and steals the pinfall on Cesaro, eliminating Cesaro. Kidd headscissors Ziggler into the ring steps then tosses Ziggler into the barricade. Kidd gets a near fall with a neckbreaker. Kidd goes for the "Sharpshooter" but Ziggler counters with a "Zig Zag" to score the pinfall. Dolph Ziggler retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
- Nattie Neidhart vs. Layla: Nattie goes for the "Sharpshooter" but Layla makes it to the ropes. Layla knocks Nattie to the floor where Nattie nearly gets counted out. Layla goes with ground wrestling on Nattie. Nattie fires back with forearms and a drop kick for a near fall. Nattie again gets sent to the floor where Nattie slaps the taste out of Summer Rae's mouth. Back in the ring Nattie applies the "Sharpshooter" on Layla and Layla taps out.
- Dean Ambrose Backstage Interview: Dean says Bray Wyatt will regret getting in Dean's mind. Bray Wyatt comes out of nowhere and hits "Sister Abigail" on Dean right into a wall. Bray stands over Dean's body and says Dean will be labeled and put in a box and if he continues down this path, his box will be put in the ground.
- Kane vs. Ryback: Kane and Ryback trade shots early. Dropkick by Kane and a back elbow by Ryback. Kane goes for the choke slam but Ryback blocks it. Ryback delivers the "Meat Hook" clothesline but Kane blocks the "Shell Shock". Ryback and Kane end up on the floor where Kane tosses Ryback into the ring post. Kane grabs a steel chair and gets DQ'ed as he connects on Ryback. Triple H barks orders at Kane to finish Ryback. Ryback hits a spine buster on Kane and unloads on Kane with steel chair shots. Smackdown closes out with Ryback and Triple H staring each other down.
