TNA One Night Only #ONOLive #TNA

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, brings you the TNA One Night Only Recap Edition.

TNA held a live One Night Only pay per view, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Friday night to kick off the new year. Just three days removed from TNA's return on Pop TV, TNA finally have a TNA World Heavyweight Champion crowned and his name is Ethan Carter. EC3 defeated Matt Hardy in the Finals of the World Title Series to be crowned the new champion. Now we move forward back within the Ethan Carter Era and take in tonight's One Night Only event.

- "TNA X-Division Championship, Fatal Four Way Elimination Match": Tigre Uno (c) vs. DJ Z vs. Mandrews vs. Crazy Steve: Mandrews lands a standing Shooting Star Press on top of Crazy Steve and Tigre Uno, covers Steve, scores the pinfall and eliminates Steve from the match. Steve, upset that he was eliminated, attacks Tigre Uno on the floor, locks him in the chicken wing submission and leaves the champ laid out. Tigre finally makes it back to the ring just as Mandrews blocks a DJ Z springboard and scores a rollup pinfall on DJ Z. The match closes out with, Tigre and Mandrews going back and forth, until both end up on the top rope in the corner. Tigre hits a moonsault superplex on Mandrews off the top rope, covers and scores the pinfall to retain the title. After the match, Shane Helms arrives in TNA and goes face to face with Tigre Uno. Helms points to his wrist, signaling that Tigre's title reign is running out of time soon.
Winner: Tigre Uno, by pinfall, to retain the TNA X-Division Championship.

- Backstage, Eric Young and Bram talk about their match tonight. EY says Beer Money is a disease. Bram states that he hates Beer Money. EY also promises to get revenge on Jeff Hardy.

- Rockstar Spud vs. Aiden O'Shea: Originally Mahabali Shera was supposed to be Aiden's opponent tonight, however, it was noted that Shera couldn't make it to the arena, cause the air was let out of his car tires. Rockstar Spud comes out to take Shera's spot. Shea grabs a microphone and gives Spud the chance to leave. Spud gives Aiden the bird, forcing Aiden to hit Spud with the microphone. The match closes out with Aiden in control, but Spud starts to "hulk up". Spud lands double boots on a charging Aiden. Aiden next misses a dive and kisses the ring post. Spud lands an enziguri and a running drop kick on Aiden. Spud hits a top rope elbow and finishes Aiden off with an Underdog for the pinfall.
Winner: Rockstar Spud, by pinfall.

- "Miracle Debut Match": Mike Bennett (w/Maria) vs. Robbie E: Maria tries to distract early, but it backfires on Bennett. The match closes out with, Robbie missing a top rope cross body, but dodges a Bennett clothesline. Robbie hits the Boom Drop on Bennett, but Bennett rolls to the floor. Back in the ring, Robbie and Bennett trade forearm strikes, until Bennett drops Robbie across the top rope. Bennett hits Robbie with the Ace Crusher and follows with Divine Intervention to score the pinfall. After the match, Bennett grabs a microphone and states that we've just witnessed a miracle, he is our hero and he is building a kingdom of miracles.
Winner: Mike Bennett, by pinfall.

- "#1 Contender To The TNA Knockouts Championship, Gauntlet Match": Newcomer Chelsea Green, from WWE Tough Enough, debuts and eliminates Rebel. Awesome Kong arrived and appeared to still be aligned with The Dollhouse, as the ladies all dominated together. The final four in the match came down to Madison Rayne, Velvet Sky, Awesome Kong and Jade. Velvet goes to eliminate Jade, but gets grabbed by Kong and tossed out for the elimination. Kong and Jade double team Madison, beating her down, but Madison avoids elimination and drop kicks Jade to the floor for the elimination. Kong battles Madison in a one on one match now. Madison hits a missile drop kick, but gets caught in mid air by Kong and choke slammed for a near fall. Madison catches a spinning back fist in the face by Kong. Kong hooks Madison, hits the Implant Buster and scores the pinfall, becoming the #1 Contender.
Winner: Awesome Kong, by pinfall, becoming #1 Contender to the TNA Women's Championship.

- Backstage, The Wolves get into a brawl with Jesse Godderz and Eli Drake, who just arrived to the arena.

- Pepper Parks vs. Trevor Lee: The match closes out with, Parks getting a near fall fisherman buster on Lee. Lee pokes Parks in the eye and hits a running punch for a near fall. Parks hits a Sky High on Lee and gets a near fall. Lee counters a Death Valley Driver with a kick to the head and follows with a double stomp. Lee sets up Parks and hits a fisherman cradle buster to score the pinfall.
Winner: Trevor Lee, by pinfall.

- Backstage, The Dollhouse offer protection to Awesome Kong. Kong promises great tutelage to them and Gail Kim better just hand over her TNA Women's Championship.

The Pope Promo: The Pope says he's been scouting TNA talent and has one person in mind that he feels is a waste of time. Pope calls out Grado, who appears and meets with Pope. Grado is happy to be back in TNA. Pope calls Grado a joke and mocks Grado's dancing gimmick. Grado says he'll prove himself tonight and challenges anyone to a match. Abyss' music hits and out comes the monster. Abyss calls Grado trash, just like the Pennsylvania fans and makes this match a Monster's Ball Match.

- "Monster's Ball Match": Grado vs. Abyss: The match closes out with, Abyss laying down the thumbtacks, bringing in barbed wire boards and barbed wire bats. Abyss swings the barbed wire bat at Grado, but Grado ducks, grabs a steel chair and unloads on Abyss. Grado plants a boot on Abyss, knocks Abyss over and onto one of the barbed wire boards. Grado places another barbed wire board on top of Abyss, sandwiching Abyss and gets a near fall top rope splash on the monster. Grado picks up the barbed wire bat and measures a swing on Abyss. Abyss counters, grabs Grado and choke slams him right onto the pile of thumbtacks for the pinfall.
Winner: Abyss, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Kurt Angle and Drew Galloway promise a tag titles win and Jesse Godderz and Eli Drake will be dealt with.

- "TNA World Tag Team Championship, Triple Threat Match": The Wolves (c) vs. Jesse Godderz and Eli Drake vs. Kurt Angle and Drew Galloway: The match closes out with, Angle applying the Ankle Lock submission on Eddie Edwards. Edwards, meanwhile, grabs Galloway and applies an Ankle Lock submission on him. Godderz breaks up both submissions, Drake hits Galloway with one of the tag team title belts and Godderz nearly steals a pinfall. Angle hits the german suplex on Drake and The Wolves grab Angle and toss him to the floor. The Wolves hit their double team finisher on Drake. Davey Richards applies an Ankle Lock submission on Drake and forces Drake to tap out, allowing The Wolves to retain their titles.
Winners: The Wolves, by submission, to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

- Backstage, Bobby Lashley wants revenge on Tyrus for costing him the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on Tuesday.

- Bobby Lashley vs. Tyrus: The match closes out with, Lashley hitting a running clothesline, but misses the spear, as Tyrus counters with a near fall cross body block. Tyrus hits Lashley with the Spike and gets another near fall. Tyrus tosses Lashley towards an exposed turn buckle that was exposed earlier in the match. Lashley counters and referee Earl Hebner gets hit and goes down. While Hebner recovers, Lashley sends Tyrus head first into the exposed turnbuckle a series of times. Lashley sets up Tyrus, hits the spear and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Bobby Lashley, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Bobby Roode says if he was told there would be a Beer Money reunion awhile back he would say we're crazy. James Storm says he's back in TNA cause TNA is family.

- "The Return Of Beer Money Match": Bobby Roode and James Storm vs. Eric Young and Bram: The match closes out with, Roode countering a DDT, but gets hit with a uranage from Bram. Storm comes in and hits a back cracker on Bram from behind. EY comes in and hits a frog splash on Storm. Roode is back up and hits a spine buster on EY and all four men are down and out. EY is up and dumps Storm to the floor. Bram is up and charges at a rising Roode. Roode catches Bram and plants him with a spine buster. EY attacks Roode, but misses Storm sneak back in, who plants a Last Call on EY. Roode and Storm hit their DWI double team finisher on EY and score the pinfall.
Winners: Bobby Roode and James Storm, by pinfall.

This closes out the pay per view.
