Smackdown officially made its jump from the SyFy Channel to their new home, the USA Network. In finalizing this deal, the USA Network, which has been an on again off again home to RAW the past 23 years, now provide Smackdown on their channel.
This week's Smackdown took place in Laredo, Texas. John Cena returns to kick off Smackdown's USA Network debut. After defeating Charlotte on RAW, Becky Lynch, received a WWE Divas Championship Match, tonight. The Miz returned with another edition of Miz TV. Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens continued their feud, as Ambrose defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Kevin Owens in the main event.

- Backstage, Becky Lynch says she and Charlotte are done and tonight's title match has nothing to do with friendship.
- Miz TV Segment: Miz is immediately interrupted by The New Day. New Day want to talk about Chris Jericho. New Day mock Jericho, his catch phrases and his light bright jacket. Dolph Ziggler interrupts and says Miz should go back to being the Ryan Seacrest of the WWE. Goldust comes out and offers to show Miz a real Golden Globe. Neville comes out and offers to give Miz advice, but only if he cancels Miz TV and shuts up. Miz is furious over the disrespect, but gets interrupted by R-Truth. Truth is accepting Alberto Del Rio's U.S. Open Challenge, but is told by Miz that there isn't one. Miz wants to talk Royal Rumble, but gets interrupted again by Truth, who wants to know how much to enter the Rumble, cause he only has a quarter. Miz tells Truth to go buy a dollar to get a clue. Truth tells Miz to buy this....and punches Miz with the microphone. A huge brawl breaks out between everyone to end the segment. - "Eight Man Tag Team Match": Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Goldust and Neville vs. The Miz and The New Day: After the Miz TV shenanigans, this impromptu match was made. The match closes out with, Ziggler getting a near fall Famasser on Miz. Goldust power slams Kofi and dumps Big E to the floor. Neville hits a suicide dive, taking out all of New Day. Miz is left surrounded in the ring by the good guys. Ziggler plants a super kick on Miz and scores the pinfall. After the match, Ziggler super kicks Truth and tosses Goldust to the floor. Ziggler reminds everyone that it's every man for themselves at the Royal Rumble.Winners: Dolph Ziggler, Goldust, Neville and R-Truth, by pinfall.
- Backstage, Charlotte states that Becky Lynch had no right to question her on how she presented herself and Becky did nothing but leech off her.
- "WWE Divas Championship Match": Charlotte (c) (w/Ric Flair) vs. Becky Lynch: The match closes out with, Becky ducking a boot and getting a near fall pump handle suplex on Charlotte. Becky goes for the Dis-Arm-Her submission, but Charlotte counters with a spear. Charlotte goes for the Figure Four submission, but Becky gets a near fall small package. Becky applies a cross arm breaker submission, but Charlotte rolls through and gets a near fall roll up. Becky locks the Dis-Arm-Her submission on Charlotte and cinches it in. Charlotte taps out in front of Becky, but has her foot on the ropes in front of the referee. Becky thinks she won the title, but the referee tells her otherwise. Charlotte rolls Becky up while she argued with the referee and scores the pinfall.Winner: Charlotte, by pinfall, to retain the WWE Divas Championship.
- Backstage, Kevin Owens says he's getting back his WWE Intercontinental Championship, he's wrestled in places filled with cockroaches and will stomp out the WWE cockroach Dean Ambrose, tonight.
- Backstage, Dean Ambrose says Kevin Owens has taken Ambrose to the limit, Owens claims to be a prize fighter and the prize is on the line tonight. Owens should talk less and FIGHT OWENS FIGHT.
- "WWE Intercontinental Championship Match": Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Kevin Owens: The match closes out with, Ambrose hitting a suicide dive on Owens, causing Owens to fly over the announcers table. Owens comes back and tosses Ambrose into the steel steps. Ambrose comes back and throws Owens over the barricade. The referee, meanwhile, counts to ten, counting both men out to end the match. After the match, Owens and Ambrose brawl into the crowd and onto the Smackdown stage. Owens gets sent into the WWE stage logo and catches an Ambrose forearm. Owens hits Ambrose with a monitor and goes for a power bomb. Ambrose counters and back body drops Owens. The show closes out with Ambrose putting Owens through a table.Winner: Double Countout, Dean Ambrose retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
