Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with the RAW Recap Edition.
This week's RAW was live in New Orleans, Louisiana. "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar returned to WWE after his successful "Lesnar Goes To Hell" tour that took place back in October. What did Lesnar have in store for us with the Royal Rumble coming up this month? The Dean Ambrose/Kevin Owens and Charlotte/Becky Lynch feuds continued. Kalisto looks for a WWE United States Championship Match against Alberto Del Rio, after pinning Del Rio in a non title match on Smackdown. Finally, how is Roman Reigns preparing as he now must defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against 29 other men inside the Royal Rumble?*** RAW ***
- Vince and Stephanie McMahon Promo: RAW kicks off with the RAW locker room on the stage and the Chairman of the Board and his daughter in the ring. Vince says the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion is standing on the stage. Stephanie says all it takes is for Roman Reigns to be eliminated and he'll no longer be champion. The McMahon's name everyone that could possibly win when suddenly the lights go out. The lights come back on and reveal The Wyatt Family at ringside. Bray says just like from day one....anyone but you Roman. Reigns' music hits and the champ heads to the ring. Reigns says he's not here to attack Vince McMahon, he's here to ask one question...what if he wins? The McMahon's give no answer and instead put him in a handicap match tonight against half the locker room. Stephanie says not to worry, Dean Ambrose won't be one of his opponents in the match cause he has his own match tonight. Sheamus suddenly kicks Ambrose from behind and their match starts now.
- Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus: The match closes out with, Ambrose and Sheamus taking the fight to the floor. Sheamus tosses Ambrose into the barricade and repeatedly into the ring steps. Sheamus irish whips Ambrose, but Ambrose reverses and sends Sheamus into the ring post. Ambrose sends Sheamus into the ring post repeatedly and busts up the angry Irishman. Meanwhile, the referee counts both men out and that ends the match. After the match, Kevin Owens hits the ring and attacks Ambrose from behind and leaves the lunatic laid out.
Winner: Double Count Out- Backstage, Dean Ambrose bursts through the trainers room and says Kevin Owens made one mistake. Allowing Ambrose to continue to breathe.
- Backstage, Paul Heyman makes it clear to the McMahon's that Brock Lesnar wants to main event Wrestlemania with a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match and has no interest in competing in the Royal Rumble. The McMahon's and Heyman go behind closed doors to discuss more.
- Stardust vs. Titus O’Neil: The match closes out with, Stardust applying a rear chin lock. Titus stands with Stardust on his back and flips him to the mat. Titus misses a splash on Stardust and Stardust goes to the top rope. Stardust flies at Titus but misses, allowing Titus to hit Clash Of The Titus to pick up the pinfall. After the match, an irate Stardust attacks Titus and leaves him laying.
Winner: Titus O'Neil, by pinfall. - Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel with Special Guest's The New Day: Jericho says he's here to save the WWE again and gets interrupted by The New Day. New Day says their here to save the Highlight Reel and their tired of him and his looks. The Usos interrupt next and challenge New Day to a match. New Day state the Usos are a man short. Jericho suggests Big E and Kofi vs. The Usos with Woods and Jericho in their teams corner.
- The New Day vs The Usos: The match closes out with Jimmy hot tagging, cleaning house and hitting a suicide dive. Kofi leaps off the top rope, but eats a Uso Kick. Jimmy goes to the top rope, but gets distracted by Woods, allowing Kofi to shove Jimmy off. Kofi gets distracted as Jericho breaks Woods' trombone and gets rolled up by Jimmy for the pinfall.
Winners: The Usos, by pinfall. - Backstage, Stephanie McMahon and Paul Heyman are arguing over when Brock Lesnar can fight next, Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania.
- Former NWA/WCW/TNA World Heavyweight Champion and Icon Sting is announced as being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Sting is the only wrestler to be inducted in the WWE and TNA Hall of Fame.
- The Wyatt Family vs. The Social Outcasts: The match never happens as Bray sends in the monster Braun Strowman. Strowman destroys the Outcasts, until Ryback hits the ring and makes the save.
Winner: No Contest. - "WWE United States Championship Match": Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Kalisto: The match closes out with, Kalisto going for a moonsault, but Del Rio reverses into a suplex. Kalisto goes for Salida del Sol, but Del Rio counters with a suplex into the ropes. Del Rio goes for the tree of woe double foots stomp, but Kalisto moves. Kalisto lands a head scissor, but Del Rio comes back and kicks Kalisto in the gut. Del Rio goes for a german suplex, but Kalisto reverses it into a roll up and scores the pinfall and wins the WWE United States Championship.
Winner: Kalisto, by pinfall, to win the WWE United States Championship. - Charlotte vs. Brie Bella: The match never happens as Becky Lynch attacks Charlotte and brawls with her. WWE Officials pull Becky off. Becky says she's taking Charlotte's title and arm in the future. Ric Flair calls off the match cause Charlotte can't wrestle.
Winner: No Contest. - Backstage, Paul Heyman is spotted talking to Brock Lesnar about his meeting with the McMahon's and doesn't look happy.
- Backstage, Becky Lynch wants nothing to do with Charlotte anymore and promises to make Charlotte tap out again.
- "Handicap Match": Roman Reigns vs. The Wyatt Family, Kevin Owens, The New Day, The Ascension, Stardust, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus: The match closes out with, Reigns landing a Superman Punch on The Ascension. Reigns starts cleaning house when Vince McMahon orders everyone to attack Reigns at once. Reigns gets beaten down, Del Rio hits a stiff kick to Reigns' head and Sheamus Brogue Kicks Reigns. Brock Lesnar's music suddenly hits and out comes The Beast. Brock starts destroying every wrestler in his path, helping Reigns clear the ring. Brock then grabs Reigns and lays out the champ with an F5 to end RAW.
Winner: No Contest.
