Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 1.19.16: #RAW

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with the RAW Recap Edition. 

This week's RAW was live in Columbus, Ohio and was the go home show to this Sunday's Royal Rumble. "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar returned again this week after laying out 1/4 of the RAW locker room and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, last week. Lesnar steps into the ring as Chris Jericho's special guest on the Highlight Reel. Kalisto and Alberto Del Rio spent last RAW and Smackdown swapping the WWE United States Championship. Tonight, Kalisto and Del Rio meet in tag team action. Charlotte answered Becky Lynch's challenge. Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens continued their feud. Could this be Roman Reigns' last RAW as WWE World Heavyweight champion, as he defends the title against 29 other men at the Royal Rumble?

- Roman Reigns Promo: Reigns kicks off RAW and says the only superstar he's worried about in the Royal Rumble is Brock Lesnar. Reigns wants to get things started now and calls out Lesnar, but Chris Jericho arrives instead. Jericho knows Reigns wanted Lesnar, but he got the Ayatollah of Rock N Rolla. Jericho invites Reigns to the Highlight Reel with Brock Lesnar later and Reigns accepts. The League of Nations interrupt and Sheamus is mad that Reigns is only worried about Lesnar.

Jericho offers Sheamus an invite, but cancels cause the Highlight Reel wouldn't be entertaining with Sheamus. Jericho tells Alberto Del Rio that Del Rio means jackass in Spanish. Jericho ignores Rusev's rant and Reigns challenges Rusev to a match. Jericho appoints himself special guest referee to make the match fair.

- Roman Reigns vs. Rusev (Special Guest Referee: Chris Jericho): The match closes out with, Reigns hitting a sitout power bomb on Rusev for a near fall. Reigns goes for the Superman Punch, but Del Rio pulls Reigns outside. Jericho is distracted by the rest of the League of Nations as Del Rio tosses Reigns into the barricade. Jericho figures out what's going on and ejects all of the League of Nations from ringside. Reigns finally hits a Superman Punch and a spear on Rusev to score the pinfall.
Winner: Roman Reigns, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Stephanie McMahon tells Chris Jericho he had no authority to make that match and she has to pay Brock Lesnar more money because he added Roman Reigns to the Highlight Reel. Stephanie says if Jericho ever makes changes again than he will never evvveeerrrr be the same again.

- Brie Bella vs. Nattie Neidhart: Before the match, Paige returns to RAW, hugs Nattie and they head to the ring together. The match closes out with, Brie hitting the running knee on Nattie and connects with Yes Kicks. Brie goes for one more kick, but Nattie catches Brie's leg and locks her in the Sharpshooter submission for the tap out victory.
Winner: Nattie Neidhart, by submission.

- "Six Man Tag Team Match": The Wyatt Family vs. The Dudley Boys and Ryback: The match closes out with, Devon hot tagging Ryback, who comes in and cleans house. Bubba is in and hits a uranage on Harper. Ryback and Braun Strowman go nose to nose in the ring, but Bray attacks Ryback from behind. Harper is back in and nails the Harper Lariat on Bubba to score the pinfall.
Winners: The Wyatt Family, by pinfall.

- It's announced that we'll find out who's entering the Royal Rumble at #1 tonight.

- Big Show vs. Heath Slater: The match closes out quickly with, Show laying out Slater with the Knockout Punch for the pinfall. After the match, Show hits the Knockout Punch on the rest of the Social Outcasts.
Winner: Big Show, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Stephanie McMahon tells the League of Nations not to let Chris Jericho get away with what he did.

- Vince and Stephanie McMahon Promo: The McMahon's pull a name to determine who has #1 in the Royal Rumble and they draw Roman Reigns' name. Vince pulls more names and they all say Roman Reigns. Vince says what a shame someone must have rigged the name draw.

- Becky Lynch vs. Tamina: The match closes out with, Tamina kicking Becky and applies a headlock. Tamina lands a body slam and goes to the top rope. Becky counters the top rope move with a rolling Dis-Arm-Her submission and forces Tamina to tap out. After the match, Becky wants an answer from Charlotte. Charlotte says no, so Becky goes after Ric Flair. Flair says yes she has her title match and Charlotte is shocked.
Winner: Becky Lynch, by submission.

- Dean Ambrose and Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus: The match closes out with Ambrose hitting the rebound clothesline and tags Kalisto. Kalisto hits Salida Del Sol on Sheamus, but Del Rio stops the pinfall. Ambrose gets distracted by Owens, allowing Del Rio to hit him with an enziguri. Kalisto goes for Salida Del Sol again, but Sheamus counters, hits the Brogue Kick and scores the pinfall on Kalisto.
Winners: Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus, by pinfall.

- The New Day have a funeral for Francesca the Trombone: Woods is upset he never got to say goodbye. Big E says Francesca is inside their hearts and knows what she would want them to do. Woods promises to eat Chipotle and destroy Chris Jericho's bathroom. Big E dedicates this match to Francesca.

- Jey Uso vs. Big E: The match closes out with, Jey hitting a samoan drop and an Uso Kick for a near fall. Big E misses a spear to the floor and Jey follows with a suicide dive. Jimmy Uso takes out Kofi and Woods. Woods gets back up and distracts Jey long enough for Big E to hit the Big Ending for the pinfall.
Winner:  Big E, by pinfall. .

- Neville, R-truth, Titus O’Neil and Mark Henry vs The Ascension, Tyler Breeze and Stardust: The match closes out with, Viktor and Stardust beating down Neville. Neville tags in Henry, who nails Stardust with a clothesline. R-Truth tags in and eats a super kick by Breeze. Neville is back in, takes control and hits the Red Arrow on Breeze for the pinfall.
Winners: Neville, R-Truth, Titus O’Neil and Mark Henry, by pinfall.

- The Highlight Reel, with Special Guests Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, and Brock Lesnar: Jericho says he, Reigns and Lesnar are the top three that could win the Royal Rumble. Heyman says the last time Jericho was in the ring with Lesnar, it didn't go so well for Jericho. Heyman says Lesnar wants Reigns. Jericho asks if Lesnar was scared of the Royal Rumble and if that's why he tried to go right to Wrestlemania. Heyman says Lesnar will fight anyone and the Royal Rumble will turn into Suplex City. Jericho asks what happens if Jericho eliminates Lesnar.

Lesnar's music hits and out comes the beast. Lesnar gets to the ring and out comes Roman Reigns. Reigns gets into the ring and spears the hell out of Lesnar. The League of Nations hit the ring and beat down Reigns. Lesnar is back up and destroys the LON before eating another spear by Reigns. The Wyatt Family arrive and now attack Reigns. Bray hits Sister Abigail on Reigns and then the Wyatts beat down Lesnar. Bray picks up Lesnar and lays Lesnar out with Sister Abigail to close out RAW.
