WWE Night Of Champions 2015 #WWENOC

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, brings you this year's WWE Night of Champions recap. Night of Champions took place at the Tokyo Center in Houston, Texas. Night Of Champions was highlighted with Seth Rollins pulling double duty and defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against the "Icon" Sting and defending the WWE United States Championship against John Cena. How did the self proclaimed "Future of the Company" do? Let's get to the shows recap and find out.

*** Pre-Show ***

- Sheamus Makes A Big Announcement: Sheamus states that he just might cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase tonight, after the Seth Rollins vs. Sting match ends.

- The Authority announce that Seth Rollins will defend the WWE United States Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a back to back main event with no break in between matches, tonight.

- Stardust and The Ascension defeated Neville and The Lucha Dragons, by pinfall, in a Six Man Tag Team Match: The match closes out with Neville hitting Red Arrow, but Konnar breaks up the pinfall. Sin Cara sends Konnar crashing to the floor and then follows up with a cross body over the ropes onto Konnar. Stardust gets a near fall slam after dodging a Neville kick. Stardust goes for the Disaster Kick, but Neville ducks and lands a super kick. Neville goes for another Red Arrow, but Viktor cuts off Neville on the top rope. Stardust comes in and shoves Viktor into Neville, slowing down Neville's momentum. Stardust grabs Neville, hits the Queen's Crossbow and scores the pinfall.

*** Night Of Champions ***

- Kevin Owens defeated Ryback, by pinfall, to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship: Owens tosses Ryback shoulder first into the ring post, injures Ryback's shoulder and works on the shoulder throughout the match. The match closes out with Ryback going for a power bomb on Owens, but the injured shoulder stops it from happening. Ryback gets a near fall spine buster and Owens gets a near fall super kick. Owens goes for the pop up power bomb, but Ryback lands some elbows and a Meat Hook. Owens counters the Shell Shock and sends Ryback injured shoulder first into the turn buckle. Owens locks in an arm lock submission on Ryback, but Ryback powers out and sets Owens up for Shell Shock. Owens rakes Ryback's eyes behind the referee's back, rolls Ryback up and scores the pinfall to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- WWE announces the Brock Lesnar "Goes To Hell" Tour, for the month of October. Lesnar will face Big Show at the Madison Square Garden special, appear on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's Podcast and will face The Undertaker inside Hell In A Cell at WWE Hell In A Cell.

- Dolph Ziggler defeated Rusev, by pinfall: The match closes out with Ziggler countering a Rusev super kick and applies a sleeper hold. Ziggler releases the hold and gets a near fall DDT on Rusev. Ziggler goes for a super kick, but Rusev counters with his own super kick and gets a near fall. Rusev starts to celebrate, thinking he scored the pinfall and then argues with the referee when he tells him other wise. Rusev stomps on Ziggler's back and goes for The Accolade submission. Ziggler escapes and gets a near fall super kick on Rusev. Summer Rae gets on the apron and gets herself flipped into the ring. The referee ejects Summer from ringside and she argues with the referee. Summer takes off her heel and throws it at the referee. The referee dodges the shoe and it hits Rusev in the face. Ziggler hits Rusev, who's still stunned from the shoe shot with the Zig Zag. Ziggler covers and scores the pinfall. After the match, Ziggler kisses Summer on the wrist on the way out.

- The Dudley Boys defeated The New Day, by DQ. The New Day retain the WWE World Tag Team Championship: The match closes out with Bubba Ray tagging in Devon and Devon lands shoulder tackles and kicks on Big E. Xavier Woods jumps up on the apron to run distraction and gets knocked off by Devon. Devon hits a flying head butt, more shoulder blocks and tags Bubba back in. The Dudleys hit a double team neck breaker and then hit 3D on Kofi Kingston. Xavier Woods hits the ring and attacks the Dudleys, stopping the pinfall attempt and causing the DQ. After the match, The New Day beat down the Dudley Boys and then grab a table to put the Dudleys through. The Dudleys get back to their feet, unload on The New Day and then finish off Woods by 3D'ing him through the table. The New Day retain the tag titles due to titles not changing hands on a DQ.

- Charlotte defeated Nikki Bella, by submission, to win the WWE Divas Championship: The stipulation in the match stated that if Nikki Bella was pinned, submitted, counted out or DQ'ed, Charlotte would be crowned new Divas Champion. Nikki Bella worked over Charlotte's leg throughout the whole match, leaving Charlotte competing on one leg. The match closes out with Team Bella and Team PCB brawling on the floor, after Nikki told Team Bella to back off so they didn't get her DQ'ed. Charlotte with a near fall rollup and Nikki returns the favor with a sleeper hold. Charlotte fights out and lands the "Flair Family" chops and a boot for a near fall. Nikki goes back to work on Charlotte's leg and slows her down. Nikki goes to the top rope and leaps at Charlotte, but Charlotte spears Nikki on her way down. Charlotte fights her leg pain and applies the Figure Eight bridged submission on Nikki. Charlotte applies the pressure and Nikki taps out, crowning Charlotte the new WWE Divas Champion. After the match, Paige, Becky Lynch and Ric Flair celebrate with Charlotte.

- The Wyatt Family defeated Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho, by stoppage, in a Six Man Tag Team Match: Chris Jericho was announced as Reigns and Ambrose's mystery partner. The match closes out with Reigns and Braun Strowman tagged in. Reigns hits not one, but two Superman Punches on Strowman and Ambrose follows and takes down Strowman to the mat. Ambrose suicide dives on Luke Harper on the floor as Reigns spears the monster Strowman. Reigns looks to finish off Strowman, however, Jericho tags himself in and hits a Lionsault on Strowman for a near fall. Bray Wyatt sends Reigns to the floor and into the barricade. Jericho goes for the Code Breaker on Strowman, but the monster catches Jericho and plants him with the inverted shoulder slam. Strowman lifts Jericho up and applies his bear hug/choke out submission. Jericho tries to hang on and refuses to tap out. Strowman applies the pressure until Jericho passes out and the referee stops the match. After the match Reigns and Ambrose both stare at Jericho, upset, cause Jericho tagged himself in and ended up losing. Jericho shoulder bumps into Ambrose and leaves the ring, looking like he didn't care about what he did.

- John Cena defeated Seth Rollins, by pinfall, to win the WWE United States Championship: The match closes out with Rollins hitting a suplex for a near fall. Cena goes for the STF, but Rollins grabs the ropes to counter. Rollins counters the AA and hits the turn buckle power bomb on Cena for a near fall. Rollins looks for the Pedigree, but Cena counters. Rollins then attempts Cena's own AA, but Cena counters that and plants Rollins face first. Cena hits the leg drop from the top rope on Rollins. Cena follows that up with the AA, covers, scores the pinfall and becomes the new WWE United States Champion. After the match, Rollins grabs his WWE World Heavyweight Championship and tries to escape. Cena plants Rollins with an AA on the floor, tosses Rollins back into the ring and Sting heads out for his title shot.

- Seth Rollins defeated Sting, by pinfall, to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship: The match closes out with Sting planting Rollins with the Scorpion Death Drop for a near fall. Sting hits the Stinger Splash and lands mounted corner punches on Rollins. Rollins blocks and turn buckle power bombs Sting into the corner, lands a kick to Sting's middle section and Sting goes down hurt. The referee orders Rollins back and a WWE doctor checks on Sting. It appears Sting took a hard shot to the kidney area. Sting gets back up, says he's fine and refuses to quit. Rollins plants a kick to the gut of Sting, going after the kidney area again. Rollins is looking for the Pedigree, but Sting counters and applies the Scorpion Death Lock submission. Rollins barely makes it to the bottom rope and breaks the hold. Rollins hits an enziguri on Sting and goes for the Pedigree again. Sting counters into the Scorpion Death Lock again, but this time Rollins counters that into a roll up for the pinfall.


- Sheamus Attempts To Cash In Money In The Bank: After the match, Sheamus runs to the ring and lays Rollins out with the Brogue Kick. Sheamus is looking to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase. Just before the match is made official, Kane returns and heads down to the ring, no longer Corporate Kane, now the masked demon Kane again. Kane lays Rollins out with a choke slam as Sheamus looks on and smiles. Sheamus encourages Kane to do it again, but Kane choke slams Sheamus instead. Kane plants Rollins with the Tombstone and celebrates with his fire pyro blast to end the show.
