Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 9.18.15: #SmackDown & #NXT

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. It's this week's NXT and Smackdown recap for the week.

*** NXT ***

- This week's NXT was at their home base at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.

- Tyler Breeze vs. Adam Rose Goes To A No Contest: Before the match can even start, Bull Dempsey makes his way to the ring. Dempsey threatens to destroy Breeze for attacking him last week. Breeze tells Dempsey to get lost. Dempsey tells Rose to leave so he can have Breeze to himself. Rose says he's going to poop on Dempsey's party and slaps Dempsey in the face. Dempsey unloads punches on Rose and tosses him to the floor. Breeze attacks Dempsey from behind, but Dempsey takes control of Breeze. Breeze escapes to the floor and retreats to the back.

- Backstage, Tyler Breeze accepts Bull Dempsey's challenge for next week.

- Tye Dillinger defeated Danny Birch, by pinfall: The match closes out with Birch landing a gut shot on Dillinger and then mocks his perfect ten taunt. Birch goes for a hammerlock, but Dillinger counters and hits a clothesline. Dillinger lowers his knee pad and hits his finisher on Birch to score the pinfall.

- Backstage, Rhyno and Baron Corbin are ready and not worried about Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano in their Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Match later.

- Apollo Crews defeated Solomon Crowe, by pinfall: The match closes out with Crowe taking advantage of Crews and the match. Crowe charges at Crews in the corner, but Crews gets a boot in the face on Crowe and follows with an enzguri. Crews hits the gorilla press on Crowe and follows with the standing moonsault, scoring the pinfall.

- Backstage, Dana Brooke and Emma are upset that they aren't being included in the NXT Women's Division. Dana and Emma state that they're about to shake things up.

- Backstage, a truck pulls into the parking lot and Sasha Banks gets out of it.

- Rhyno and Baron Corbin defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, by pinfall, in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Match: The match closes out with Ciampa tagging in Gargano. Gargano hits a running drop kick and a diving DDT on Corbin. Corbin tags Rhyno and tosses Gargano toward Rhyno who's going for a Gore. Gargano leaps over a charging Rhyno and hits an enziguri on Corbin. Corbin tags back in and gets rolled up by Gargano for a near fall. Corbin catches Gargano and plants him with End of Days to score the pinfall. Rhyno and Corbin advance in the tournament.

- Backstage, The Vaudevillians predict they will win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament. Wesley Blake, Buddy Murphy and Alexa Bliss interrupt and announce they are invoking their rematch clause next week for the NXT World Tag Team Championship.

- Bayley defeated Sara Dobson, by pinfall: Dobson takes control of the match and locks Bayley in a rolling guillotine choke submission. Bayley struggles to hang on and refuses to tap out. Bayley finally lifts Sara and plants her into the corner, breaking the submission. Bayley plants Sara with Bayley to Belly and scores the pinfall.

- Sasha Banks Lays Down A Challenge To Bayley: After Bayley's match with Sara Dobson, Sasha Banks arrives and interrupts Bayley. Sasha says she's not here to belittle Bayley, she came here to be the best and Bayley earned her respect at Takeover. Bayley says if it's a rematch she wants then she has no problem with that. Sasha says she wants to prove that she's the best female wrestler over and over and over and over. NXT GM William Regal arrives and announces that we have a huge opportunity here. At Takeover: Respect in October it'll be Bayley vs. Sasha Banks in the main event, for the NXT Women's Championship, in a 30 Minute Iron Women Match. This huge announcement closes out NXT.

*** Smackdown ***

- This week's Smackdown took place in Little Rock, Arkansas. Smackdown is the final show before this Sunday's WWE Night Of Champions pay per view.

- Seth Rollins' Final Thoughts Before This Sunday: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is in the ring to kick off Smackdown. Rollins says he'll make history on Sunday when he defeats John Cena and Sting, he'll break Cena's spirit and prove that he is the future and Sting is the past. Rollins hypes his tag match with Sheamus tonight and says he's not scared that Sheamus has the Money In The Bank briefcase, because Rollins is the man. Sheamus interrupts Rollins and states that Rollins doesn't want Sheamus as an enemy, is deciding whether or not to cash in the briefcase this Sunday and promises if he does Rollins won't see it coming. Rollins makes fun of the way Sheamus looks. Sheamus says that Rollins can either work with Sheamus or he'll leave Rollins on his own tonight. Sheamus guarantees he's the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion to end the segment.
 
- Sasha Banks and Naomi defeated Paige and Becky Lynch, by pinfall: The match closes out with Sasha and Naomi working over Becky, until Becky hot tags Paige. Paige tosses Sasha aside and unloads knees and kicks on Naomi. Becky pulls Sasha to the floor and they go at it back and forth. Paige gets distracted by the brawl on the floor and gets rolled up from behind by Naomi for the pinfall. 

- Backstage, Stardust and The Ascension officially announce their partnership. The trio promise to introduce Neville and The Lucha Dragons to The Cosmic Wasteland.

- Kofi Kingston defeated Devon Dudley, by pinfall: The New Day continue their save the tables campaign, try to get the Dudley's to sign a petition and try to get the WWE Universe involved. Devon isn't having it as he attacks Kofi to start the match. The match closes out with Big E grabbing a table, but Bubba drops Big E. Xavier Woods tries to interfere, but gets tossed to the floor by Devon. Kofi rolls Devon up from behind and scores the pinfall. After the match, The New Day grab the table and leave with it.

- Backstage, The Bella Twins and Alicia Fox are planning out tonight's celebration of Nikki Bella now being the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion.

- Backstage, The Miz shows Big Show a black binder and tells him good luck in his match tonight. Show reads the binder that says confidential on the front, throws it and heads to the ring.

- Big Show defeated Cesaro, by pinfall: The match closes out with Show going for a choke slam, but Cesaro counters out into a submission. Show powers out of the submission and again tries for the choke slam. Cesaro again counters and goes for The Neutralizer, but Show blocks it. Show lands the knockout punch on Cesaro and scores the pinfall.

- Backstage, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose won't give away who their partner at Night Of Champions is just yet and then hype up their tag match tonight against Seth Rollins and Sheamus.

- Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler, by DQ: The match closes out with Owens hitting a super kick on Ziggler. Ziggler rolls out to the floor to recuperate and Owens follows. Ryback suddenly hits the ring and brawls with Owens, causing the DQ. Ryback hits the spine buster and then goes for Shell Shock. Owens rolls back out to the floor and retreats to the back.

- Backstage, Nikki Bella sees that no one showed up for her party and the rest of Team Bella promise to make it up to Nikki. Team PCB arrive and Charlotte reminds Nikki of the stipulations in their match at Night Of Champions. Adam Rose shows up and says the party sucks. Nikki throws cake at Rose, but hits Brie and Alicia. Nikki storms off pissed.

- Backstage, Summer Rae thanks Dolph Ziggler for the rose gift on RAW and Ziggler says they should let bygones be bygones. Ziggler tells Summer she deserved the present even though it was just a rose and a gift can mean more than it appears.

- Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins and Sheamus, by pinfall: The match closes out with Rollins going to tag Sheamus, but Sheamus refuses the tag and jumps off the apron. Rollins and Sheamus play tug of war with the Money In The Bank briefcase and Rollins force tags Sheamus in the process. Ambrose hits a suicide dive on Sheamus, followed by a Superman Punch by Reigns. Ambrose next hits Dirty Deeds, covers and scores the pinfall on Sheamus. After the match, The Wyatt Family appear on the titantron. Bray Wyatt says it doesn't matter who Reigns and Ambrose's partner is at Night Of Champions because they are foolish and in the end they all fall down. Braun Strowman looks into the camera and says "Run", to close out the show.
