Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 6.16.16: NXT Results #NXT

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is here with your NXT Recap Edition.

This week's NXT took place at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. The Authors of Pain made their NXT in ring debut against two local wrestlers. Carmella battled Tessa Blanchard in one on one Women's Division action. TM61 battled Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy in tag team action. Tye Dillinger battled Andrade “Cien” Almas in a rematch from NXT Takeover: The End. Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura lay down a challenge to each other.

*** NXT ***

- The Authors of Pain vs. Two Local Wrestlers: The AOP make quick work of the local talent. AOP hit a boot/spinning slam combo and finish with a Russian leg sweep/clothesline combo for the pinfall.
Winners: The Authors Of Pain, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Tye Dillinger challenges Andrade “Cien” Almas to a rematch.

- Backstage, The Authors Of Pain's manager Paul Ellering says his team will make a comment in due time.

- Carmella vs. Tessa Blanchard: The match closes out with Carmella punching Tessa and landing a super kick. Carmella locks Tessa in the Cone Of Silence submission and forces Tessa to tap out.
Winner: Carmella, by submission.

- Backstage, Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy say that they are going to reclaim the NXT World Tag Team Championship.

- TM61 vs. Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy: The match closes out with Blake and Murphy going for a double team, but Thorne grabs Murphy's foot and spins it into Blake. Blake goes for a clothesline, but Miller ducks and Blake accidentally hits Murphy. TM61 hit Thunder Valley on Blake and score the pinfall. After the match, Blake and Murphy argue with each other.
Winners: TM61, by pinfall.

- Tye Dillinger vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas: The match closes out with Almas hitting a springboard dropkick followed by a series of spinning elbows on Tye. Tye rolls to the floor and gets hit with a Almas suicide dive with a corkscrew splash. Back in the ring, Almas hits a wheelbarrow bulldog on Tye, followed by the running double knee smash for the pinfall.
Winner: Andrade “Cien” Almas, by pinfall.

- Finn Balor Promo: Balor says that ever since he saw NXT on TV he knew he wanted to be apart of the company, he's battled many NXT stars and the question on everyone's mind is where does Balor go from here without the NXT World Title. Shinsuke Nakamura’s music hits and out comes the Japanese superstar. Nakamura and Balor shake hands after Nakamura enters the ring. Nakamura says that when he was in Japan he watched Balor become an NXT icon. Nakamura says in order for him to make an impact and become the NXT World Champion one day, he has to beat the icon Finn Balor. Balor says Nakamura has answered Balor’s question of what's next. Balor wants Nakamura. Both men shake hands as the show closes out.
