Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 6.17.16: SmackDown Results #SmackDown

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is here with your Smackdown Recap Edition.  

This week's Smackdown took place in Biloxi, Mississippi. This week's Smackdown served its go home show to this Sunday's WWE Money In The Bank. Chris Jericho brought back The Highlight Reel with Dean Ambrose as his special guest. A fatal four way match between Aiden English, Kofi Kingston, Luke Gallows and Big Cass took place. Baron Corbin battled Zack Ryder in a one on one match. WWE United States Champion Rusev battled Kalisto in a one on one non-title match. AJ Styles of The Club took on Xavier Woods of The New Day in one on one action. WWE Women's Champion Charlotte battled Nattie Neidhart in a one on one non-title match. The main event saw six man tag team action as Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Dean Ambrose battled Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho and Alberto Del Rio.

- The Highlight Reel, with Special Guest Dean Ambrose: Chris Jericho says he's finally winning the match he created, the Money In The Bank and his guest tonight is someone he truly despises, Dean Ambrose. Ambrose comes out drinking coffee and says he's drinking in the Gift Of Jericho. Jericho says he didn't forget their match at Extreme Rules and promises to win the Money In The Bank. Kevin Owens' music hits and out comes Owens. Owens says he's winning and will never tell anyone when he'll cash in the briefcase. Alberto Del Rio interrupts next and says he's the only one in the match that has one a Money In The Bank match in the past. Cesaro and Sami Zayn interrupt next. Zayn reminds everyone that they have a six man tag match tonight and then argues with Cesaro. Jericho calls Zayn and Cesaro stupid idiots and says if Owens and Del Rio can actually get along then the bad guys are winning tonight. Ambrose dumps his coffee on Jericho's carpet and a six man brawl erupts to end the segment.

- "Fatal Four Way Match": Aiden English vs. Luke Gallows vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Big Cass: The match closes out with Gallows and Cass trading punches with each other. Cass knocks down Anderson with a punch and then goes outside with Gallows. Kofi goes airborne and takes out Gallows and Cass with a flying crossbody to the floor. Gotch tries to interfere and attack Kofi from behind, but Big E is there to make the save and drops Gotch. Back in the ring, Kofi hits English with Trouble In Paradise and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Kofi Kingston, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Nattie Neidhart says Charlotte is taking advantage of Dana Brooke. Becky Lynch says she and Nattie will make Charlotte and Dana tap out on Sunday. Charlotte and Dana interrupt and warn Nattie that Charlotte is giving her a beat down tonight.

- Baron Corbin vs. Zack Ryder: Dolph Ziggler is on commentary for this match. The match closes out with Ryder hitting the Broski Boot on Corbin and getting a near fall. Ryder goes for a drop kick, but Corbin shoves Ryder away in mid air. Corbin plants Ryder with the End Of Days and scores the pinfall. After the match, Corbin talks smack to Ziggler at ringside.
Winner: Baron Corbin, by pinfall.

- Rusev vs. Kalisto: Rusev attacks Kalisto before the bell even rings, hits a belly to belly and then traps Kalisto in The Accolade submission. Sin Cara hits the ring to make the save, but eats a Rusev thrust kick. Titus O'Neil hits the ring, forcing Rusev to stop and roll out of the ring in retreat. Titus chases and lands some punches on Rusev until Rusev escapes and runs backstage.
Winner: No Contest

- Backstage, AJ Styles says he knows John Cena can't beat him and he's leaving Vegas this Sunday victorious over Cena. The New Day interrupt, Woods says AJ has a teenage emo haircut, Kofi says AJ has no style. AJ demands a one on one tune up match against Woods with no Club or New Day idiots at ringside. Woods accepts the challenge.

- AJ Styles vs. Xavier Woods: The match closes out with Woods hitting an inverted suplex on Styles which sends Styles to the ring apron. Woods hits a discus forearm that sends Styles flying to the floor. Woods goes airborne and hits a suicide plancha on Styles. Woods gets a near fall springboard elbow, but then gets knocked off the top rope by Styles. Styles hits the Phenomenal Forearm and then forces Woods to tap out to the Calf Crusher.
Winner: AJ Styles, by submission.

- Charlotte vs. Nattie Neidhart: The match closes out with Charlotte going for a moonsault, but Nattie counters and hits a power bomb for a near fall. Dana Brooke and Becky Lynch get into it at ringside and cause the distraction in the ring. Charlotte hits a chop block on Nattie's leg and then forces Nattie to tap out to the Figure Eight submission.
Winner: Charlotte, by submission.

- Backstage, Darren Young says he's been reading a lot. Bob Backlund says that books are like dumbbells for brains. Backlund tells Young to never take advice from anyone. Young is confused cause he's been taking advice from Backlund. Backlund says he doesn't give advice he gives orders and then demands 100 high knee exercises.

- "Six Man Tag Team Match": Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio: The match closes out with Ambrose hitting a suicide dive. Del Rio kicks Ambrose and lands a Back Stabber for a near fall.
Ambrose hits the rebound clothesline on Del Rio. Cesaro hits European uppercuts on Owens and Jericho and then accidentally hits Ambrose. Owens tosses Cesaro outside and then super kicks his own partners Jericho and Del Rio. Zayn tosses Owens outside and then suicide planchas his own partner Cesaro. Owens tosses Zayn into the barricade, but then eats Dirty Deeds from Ambrose for the pinfall.
Winners: Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn and Cesaro, by pinfall.
