Wrestling Lockup with Brandon: SmackDown #WWE #SmackDown

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is here with your Smackdown Recap Edition.  

This week's Smackdown took place in Des Moines, Iowa. Rusev faced Sin Cara one on one in a rematch from RAW. Becky Lynch looked to get revenge on Emma and Dana Brooke, in a one on one match against Dana. Aiden English of The Vaudevillains battled Kofi Kingston of The New Day in one on one action. The Usos battled Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson of The Club in tag team action. Gorgeous Truth battled Goldango in tag team action, looking to settle their feud. Main event time saw Sami Zayn and Cesaro battle WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz and Kevin Owens in tag team action.

*** Smackdown ***

- Dean Ambrose Promo: Dean Ambrose kicks off Smackdown inside the ring. Ambrose talks about Jericho destroying "Mitch" the potted plant and how Ambrose destroyed Jericho's $15,000 light bright jacket on RAW, which should now make them both even. Jericho's music hits and the lights go out in the arena. The lights pop back on and Jericho is in the middle of the ring, with Ambrose laid out on the mat. Jericho reveals a straight jacket and then starts beating on Ambrose some more. Ambrose tries to fight back, but gets put in the straight jacket by Jericho and beaten down. WWE officials hit the ring and try to pull Jericho off Ambrose. Jericho gets a few more shots in, hits Ambrose with the Code Breaker and then stands on the announcers table, offering us the Gift Of Jericho.

- Backstage, Rusev is still heated over losing to Sin Cara on RAW. Rusev gets a rematch tonight.

- Rusev vs. Sin Cara: WWE United States Champion, Kalisto, was on commentary. The match closes out with Lana getting involved and throwing water on Kalisto, which distracted Sin Cara. Rusev attacked Kalisto and landed a thrust kick, laying out the champ. Rusev took control of Sin Cara and locked in The Accolade submission and forced Sin Cara to tap out.
Winner: Rusev, by submission.

- Backstage, Emma introduces her BFF, Dana Brooke, who'll face Becky Lynch tonight.

- Becky Lynch vs. Dana Brooke: The match closes out with Emma distracting Becky long enough for Dana to sneak in from behind and score the rollup pinfall.
Winner: Dana Brooke, by pinfall.

- Backstage, AJ Styles promises Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson that he'll take care of Roman Reigns if Reigns tries to interfere in The Club vs. The Usos match tonight.

- Aiden English vs. Kofi Kingston: The match closes out with Simon Gotch trying to get involved, but gets stopped by Big E and Woods. The referee tosses Gotch, Big E and Woods from ringside. Kofi gets distracted by the ejections, allowing English to steal the pinfall, using the ropes for leverage.
Winner: Aiden English, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Roman Reigns promises The Usos that he'll take out AJ Styles should he try to interfere in their tag match later.

- Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. The Usos: The match closes out with The Usos on their way to a win when Gallows grabs a steel chair and blasts an Uso with it. After the match, Gallows and Anderson beat down both Usos with steel chairs and leave them laid out.
Winners: The Usos, by DQ.

- Backstage, R-Truth creates a selfie stick, using a real wood stick and Fandango tries to teach Goldust how to dance.

- Life Lessons with Bob Backlund: Backlund asks Darren Young what time it is on Young's watch. Young looks at his phone to see the time, which angers Backlund cause he thinks Young is ignoring his training and trying to make a phone call. Backlund orders Young to do 200 squats as punishment.

- R-Truth and Tyler Breeze vs. Fandango and Goldust: The match closes out with Goldust and Truth both tagged in on their teams, but they refuse to hit each other. Breeze turns on Truth and lays Truth out as Fandango turns on Goldust and lays Goldust out. Breeze covers Goldust and scores the pinfall. After the match, Breeze and Fandango beat down Goldust and then Truth when Truth tries to make the save. Fandango and Breeze leave together.
Winners: R-Truth and Tyler Breeze, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Charlotte says what happened to her on RAW was a travesty. Ric Flair guarantees Charlotte leaves WWE Extreme Rules still the WWE Women's Champion.

- Cesaro and Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens and The Miz: The match closes out with Cesaro hot tagging and taking out Miz and Owens. Cesaro goes for the Cesaro Swing on Owens, but Miz stops it. Zayn hits the Helluva Kick, however, it was Cesaro he accidentally hits. All hell breaks loose and the referee throws out the match. After the match, Owens hits the pop up power bomb on Zayn, but Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Owens. Owens gets back up and tosses Miz into Cesaro who puts Miz into the Cesaro Swing. After the swing, Zayn nails Miz with Helluva Kick to end this week's Smackdown.
Winners: No Contest
