Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 3.15.16: #RAW Recap

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with the RAW Recap Edition. 

This week's RAW was live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Both Shane McMahon and The Undertaker were in the building, as Shane prepares for his all or nothing match against The Deadman at Wrestlemania 32. After coming off of their successful tag team title defense at WWE Roadblock against Sheamus and King Barrett, The New Day defended the WWE World Tag Team Championship against Alberto Del Rio and Rusev of the League of Nations. Dean Ambrose picks back up his feud with Brock Lesnar going into Wrestlemania 32. Ryback faced Sin Cara in one on one action. Sami Zayn took on The Miz in one on one action. Brie Bella and Alicia Fox battled Team BAD in Divas Division tag team action. The Usos battled Bo Dallas and Heath Slater of the Social Outcasts in tag team action. WWE Hall of Famer and Hardcore Legend, Mick Foley, appears. Chris Jericho battled Neville one on one. Dolph Ziggler faced Triple H one on one and if Ziggler wins he gets to pick any match with any opponent at Wrestlemania 32.

*** RAW ***

- "WWE World Tag Team Championship Match": The New Day (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio and Rusev: The match closes out with, Woods getting a near fall DDT on Del Rio. Del Rio comes back and hits double knees on Big E and follows with some stomps. Woods lays out Del Rio, but Woods gets thrust kicked by Rusev for a near fall. Kofi leaps onto Sheamus and then sends Barrett into the barricade.
Woods rolls Rusev up during the distraction and scores the pinfall. After the match, the League of Nations 4-on-3 attack The New Day. Barrett hits the Bullhammer on Kofi. Sheamus lands a Brogue Kick on Big E. Woods gets put in the tree of woe and drilled with the Del Rio double foot stomp. Rusev locks Woods in The Accolade submission, the LON talk trash and finally leave The New Day laid out.
Winners: The New Day, by pinfall, to retain the WWE World Tag Team Championship.

- Dean Ambrose Promo: Ambrose says he came close to winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Roadblock and Triple H learned what happens when you underestimate Ambrose. Brock Lesnar's music hits and out comes Lesnar and Paul Heyman. Heyman says he's protecting Ambrose from Lesnar, but Ambrose dares Heyman to release Lesnar. Heyman tells Ambrose to stop provoking Lesnar, because Ambrose won't make it to Wrestlemania if Lesnar is let loose. Ambrose begins to mock Lesnar trying to get him to come to the ring. Heyman hypes the Lesnar/Ambrose No Holds Barred Street Fight at Wrestlemania and turns to leave, but Lesnar stays on the RAW stage. Lesnar heads to the ring to confront Ambrose. Ambrose reveals a crowbar and dares Lesnar to enter the ring. Lesnar leaps onto the apron, but jumps down and stares at Ambrose to end the segment.

- Ryback vs. Sin Cara: The match closes out with, Ryback hitting a clothesline on Sin Cara for a near fall. Ryback grounds Sin Cara, but Sin Cara makes a comeback, hitting a crossbody for a near fall. Ryback gets sent to the floor where Sin Cara hits a suicide dive, sending Ryback into the barricade. Back in the ring, Sin Cara flies at Ryback, but gets caught in mid air. Ryback positions Sin Cara and hits the Shell Shock. Ryback picks Sin Cara up, stares down Kalisto and hits another Shell Shock on Sin Cara to score the pinfall. After the match, Ryback tells Kalisto that that's what happens when a big guy meets a little guy. Ryback challenges Kalisto to defend his WWE United States Championship at Wrestlemania.
Winner: Ryback, by pinfall.

- The Authority Promo: Triple H talks about his win at WWE Roadblock, how Dean Ambrose failed and The Authority always wins. Triple H mocks the fans, Ambrose and Roman Reigns until he gets interrupted by Dolph Ziggler. Stephanie calls Ziggler a failure as he enters the ring. Ziggler says he couldn't take hearing Triple H talk anymore and mentions how Ziggler busts his ass everyday. Stephanie tells Ziggler that he doesn't know his role and he's talented but not that great. Ziggler asks if he's getting fired again, because when your job is threatened so many times than you have nothing to lose. Ziggler says he'll never quit his job no matter what they say, he's sick of hearing Triple H badmouth everyone, he's not a failure and the same goes for Ambrose as well. Ziggler says they get screwed by the Triple H and Stephanie system and they can fire him, but he's not leaving. Triple H calms Stephanie down and agrees that firing Ziggler would be bad for business. Triple H offers Ziggler a spot in The Authority and promises Ziggler that he could be great and never be a loser again. Ziggler declines, stating that he'd never side with Triple H or his egotistical wife. Stephanie slaps Ziggler and then offers him an opportunity to fight anyone he wants at Wrestlemania, except for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but he has to win a match tonight to earn that right. Stephanie guarantees Ziggler will fail because Ziggler must beat.......Triple H. Ziggler and Triple H have a stare down to end the segment.

- Sami Zayn vs. The Miz: The match closes out with, Miz taking three clotheslines from Zayn. Zayn goes to the top rope and hits a crossbody on Miz for a near fall. Zayn clotheslines Miz to the floor and then takes Miz out with a suicide dive. Kevin Owens, who's on commentary, gets up and talks trash to Zayn, but gets attacked from behind by Miz. Back in the ring, Owens tries to interfere again and Zayn hits Helluva Kick on Miz during the distraction and scores the pinfall. After the match, Zayn and Owens stare each other down.
Winner: Sami Zayn, by pinfall.

- Backstage, The League of Nations challenge The New Day to another WWE World Tag Team Championship Match at Wrestlemania. The LON promise a tragedy instead of a comedy for New Day.

- Brie Bella and Alicia Fox vs. Tamina and Naomi: The match closes out with, Brie landing Yes Kicks on Tamina. Brie drops Naomi off the apron and hits the running knee on Tamina. Brie taunts Lana, who's at ringside and then hits the Bella Buster on Tamina for a near fall. Tamina tosses Alicia to the floor as Lana distracts the referee. Team Bad double team Brie while Lana has the referee distracted. Tamina covers and scores the pinfall on Brie. After the match, Alicia has words with Lana at ringside, but Alicia gets taken out by a Team BAD double super kick.
Winners: Naomi and Tamina, by pinfall.

- Backstage, The Social Outcasts do a comedy skit which involved Burger King hotdogs.

- Backstage, Lana interrupts Paige and calls Paige a weak European girl that couldn't keep her man or her title, because she hangs out with Brie Bella. Paige wants to fight Lana, but Team BAD arrive and order Paige to back down.

- Backstage, Charlotte talks about her history with Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, mocks Becky and calls Sasha a scared little girl. Ric Flair mentions how Charlotte always wanted to be better then Sasha and Becky and has proved she is.

- The Usos vs. Bo Dallas and Heath Slater: The Dudley Boys were on commentary. The match closes out with, a Rikishi Splash in the corner on Dallas. Bubba tries to distract The Usos as Dallas gets a near fall roll up. The Usos lay out all the Social Outcasts as the Dudleys head up to the RAW stage. The Usos stare down the Dudleys as they hit the top rope Uso Splash for the pinfall.
Winners: The Usos, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Mick Foley meets with Dean Ambrose. Foley tells Ambrose that he's going to get hurt facing Brock Lesnar and asks Ambrose if he can accept that. Ambrose says it is what it is and reminds Foley of his Hell In A Cell match against Undertaker. Ambrose asks if Foley was afraid and Foley says he was terrified. Ambrose asks why did he keep going and Foley says because he was Mick Foley and that's what he did. Foley is happy that Ambrose has his mind set, is tired of hearing about Suplex City, hands Ambrose a present and tells Ambrose to lose the crowbar and use his gift instead. Foley gives a Cactus Jack "Bang Bang" as Ambrose reveals the gift to be Foley's baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire.

- "If Ziggler Wins He Gets A Wrestlemania Match": Dolph Ziggler vs. Triple H: The match closes out with, Ziggler getting a near fall DDT. Triple H lands a boot and the spine buster on Ziggler. Triple H is dazed but goes for the Pedigree. Ziggler counters and hits the super kick for a near fall. Triple H escapes to the floor, but gets tossed back into the ring by Ziggler. Triple H shoves Ziggler off the apron and Ziggler crashes into the barricade. Ziggler gets back in the ring before the ten count and counters another Pedigree with a back body drop. Triple H counters the Zig Zag and finally hits the Pedigree on Ziggler to score the pinfall. After the match, Roman Reigns' music hits and Reigns returns.
Reigns tackles Triple H and they trade punches. Reigns sends Triple H into the barricade a couple of times, into the ring post and then unloads more punches. Reigns sends Triple H head first into the announcers table repeatedly and tosses Triple H over the table. Reigns knocks a now busted open Triple H onto the announcers table and punches a referee. Triple H hits Reigns with a pop can, but Reigns keeps coming. Reigns and Triple H fight back to the production area as Reigns takes out WWE officials along the way. Triple H keeps trying to escape as Reigns keeps knocking out WWE officials and still stalking Triple H. The Usos, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger finally grab Reigns and hold him back as Triple H finally escapes.
Winner: Triple H, by pinfall.

- WWE announce that Jacqueline will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

- Backstage, R-Truth is dressed like a penguin and tells Goldust when penguins find their partners they have them forever. Goldust still refuses to be Truth's partner.

- Chris Jericho Promo: Jericho is still ranting about everyone chanting "AJ Styles", calls Styles a hack that can't wrestle, calls Styles arrogant and was put in his place by Jericho. Jericho says Styles isn't phenomenal, but Jericho is still the best in the world. Neville's music hits and out comes Neville.

- Chris Jericho vs. Neville: The match ends quickly as it appears Neville landed wrong on his ankle sliding between Jericho's legs. Referee Charles Robinson gets shoved by Jericho when Robinson tries to check on Neville, forcing a DQ. After the match, Jericho is mad he was DQ'ed and is tired of being treated like garbage. AJ Styles' music hits and Styles hits the ring. Styles hits a forearm from the apron on Jericho then springboards into the ring with another flying forearm. Styles talks trash to a laid out Jericho as Styles looks up at the Wrestlemania banner. 
Winner: Neville, by DQ.

- Vince McMahon Promo: Vince says Shane McMahon taking over RAW would be a nightmare, the only person that will be standing in the ring after Wrestlemania will be Vince McMahon, Shane's dreams would be shattered and Vince's own personal instrument of destruction, The Undertaker, will destroy Shane for him. Vince calls out The Undertaker and the deadman arrives. Vince tells Taker to never touch him again, which triggers anger in Taker and Vince quickly apologizes. Vince says he knows Taker doesn't mind getting his hands dirty, doing the devil's work, won't mind destroying Shane and simply considers this best for business. HERE COMES THE MOOONNNEEYYYYY....HERE COMES THE MONEY! Shane McMahon arrives and heads to the ring. Vince tells the fans to shut up. Shane tells Vince that Vince isn't what's best for business, Shane is in the match of his life at Wrestlemania, says he's been watching a lot of Taker matches and searching for ways to beat Taker.
Shane says he's going to use his mind to beat Taker. Shane says as long as he has heart, he'll be fighting for everyone and the future of the WWE. Taker says it still won't be enough. Shane says he's surprised that Taker is accepting being a Vince McMahon puppet. Taker says no one controls him, but Shane says it doesn't look that way to him. Shane says it's unfortunate that he is Vince's son, but Taker right now is Vince's bitch. Taker grabs Shane by the throat, but Shane gets free and lands punches into the corner on Taker. Vince steps in and shoves Shane into Taker, who finally grasps Shane and choke slams Shane to the mat. Vince runs as Taker stares the chairman down. Taker stands over Shane and stares down Vince to end the show.
