Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 3.1.16: #RAW Recap

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with the RAW Recap Edition. 

This week's RAW was live in Nashville, Tennessee. After being announced as Shane McMahon's opponent for Wrestlemania 32 last week on RAW, The Undertaker appeared and made a statement. Sasha Banks battled Becky Lynch, with the winner receiving a WWE Divas Championship Match against Charlotte at Wrestlemania 32. Dolph Ziggler battled The Miz one on one. Sheamus and Rusev faced The Lucha Dragons in tag team action. AJ Styles and Chris Jericho teamed up again to face The New Day in a non-title match. Jey Uso faced Bubba Ray Dudley. Kevin Owens battled Big Show. Dean Ambrose sends a message to Triple H and ends up in the main event facing Alberto Del Rio.

*** RAW ***

- Triple H Promo: Triple H says everyone has that authority figure they hate, but know to never cross them. Reigns has crossed his boss and now is in the predicament he's in. Dean Ambrose cuts Triple H off and appears, looking like he's still in beat up shape from Brock Lesnar last week. Ambrose says he spoke to Reigns and has a message that Reigns is coming for Triple H. Triple H mocks Ambrose and calls him an after thought that had no chance at WWE Fastlane. Ambrose gets in Triple H's face and guarantees Ambrose would've been the last person Triple H would have wanted to fight. Ambrose tries to get Triple H in a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H says he now knows Ambrose is in fact crazy, he'll think about the challenge, but until then Ambrose can face Alberto Del Rio with the League of Nations allowed at ringside.

- "#1 Contenders Match For The WWE Divas Championship": Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch: The match closes out with, Sasha landing a double knee blow to Becky. Becky kicks Sasha and goes to the top rope, hitting a drop kick for a near fall. Sasha goes to the top rope next, but gets cut off by Becky. Becky drops head butts on Sasha, but Sasha finally escapes and hits a sunset flip power bomb. Both Sasha and Becky are covered with their shoulders down and the referee makes the three count, both ladies pinning each other.
Winner: Draw, by Double Pinfall.

- Backstage, Bray Wyatt wants us to take his hand as he has a plan for us or else we'll all end up like the rest of them.

- Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz: The match closes out with, Miz catching Ziggler's foot going for the super kick. Miz goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Ziggler counters out. Miz gets sent into the corner and Ziggler goes for a corner splash. Miz rolls Ziggler up after the miss and scores the pinfall.
Winner: The Miz, by pinfall.

- Stephanie McMahon Promo: Stephanie is in the ring to give her acceptance speech that she was interrupted with last week. Stephanie tries to give her speech, but is interrupted with boos and "Shane-O-Mac" chants. Stephanie gets mad, shoves over the podium and has a temper tantrum. Stephanie says Shane is a hypocrite, it's not right that he is blackmailing their father, she has no respect for Shane because he always stabs her in the back. Stephanie calls the WWE Universe spoiled brats and says Shane will get destroyed by The Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

- Sheamus and Rusev vs. The Lucha Dragons: The match closes out with, Sheamus tossing Sin Cara into the barricade allowing Rusev to take control. Sin Cara hits a tornado DDT on Sheamus and tags Kalisto. Kalisto with a springboard corkscrew on Sheamus, but Alberto Del Rio tries to interfere. Rusev plants the thrust kick on Kalisto during the distraction and scores the pinfall. After the match, Del Rio hits the double foot stomp on Kalisto.
Winners: Sheamus and Rusev, by pinfall.

- Ryback vs. Adam Rose: The match closes out with, Rose applying a sleeper hold, but Ryback chin breaks his way out. Ryback unloads on Rose repeatedly, forcing the referee to step in. Ryback finally stops and hits the Shell Shock on Rose to score the pinfall.
Winner: Ryback, by pinfall.

- The New Day vs. AJ Styles and Chris Jericho: The match closes out with, Big E hitting a splash on AJ for a near fall. AJ hits a Pele Kick on Big E and tags Jericho. Jericho hits a Lionsault on Kofi, but Big E breaks the pinfall. Kofi goes for Trouble In Paradise, but Jericho catches Kofi's foot and applies the Walls Of Jericho submission. Kofi eventually taps out for the good guy win. After the match, AJ and Jericho challenge The New Day to a WWE World Tag Team Championship Match next week on RAW.
Winners: AJ Styles and Chris Jericho, by submission.

- Vince McMahon Promo: Vince says the day Shane McMahon takes over RAW will be the day hell freezes over. Vince loves Shane enough to teach him a lesson and that lesson will be The Undertaker. Taker's music hits and out comes the deadman. Vince says The Undertaker is his and Taker immediately grabs Vince by the throat. Taker says that what ever happens to Shane McMahon inside Hell In A Cell is on Vince McMahon. Vince agrees, says he's taking Shane out of his will and leaving everything to Stephanie McMahon. Vince says Shane is no longer his son, he's just a son of a bitch.

- Jey Uso vs. Bubba Ray Dudley: The match closes out with, Bubba missing a clothesline and Jey hits an Uso Kick. Devon gets a table out from under the ring. Jimmy Uso leaps at Devon, but Devon hits Jimmy with the table. Bubba catches Jey on the distraction and hits the Bubba Bomb for the pinfall.
Winner: Bubba Ray Dudley, by pinfall.

- Backstage, R-Truth tells Goldust he doesn't want to be his tag team partner and tries to get Goldust to come back after Goldust leaves with hurt feelings.

- Kevin Owens vs. Big Show: The match closes out with, Owens getting Big Show down outside the ring with a super kick. Owens lands a tornado DDT on Show off the apron. Owens goes to the top rope, but gets cut off and crotched on the ropes by Show. Owens falls to the floor and gets counted out.
Winner: Big Show, by countout.

- Backstage, Brie Bella gives an update on Nikki Bella and Daniel Bryan. Lana interrupts and mocks Brie and her family. Brie calls Rusev hairy and says she'd be happy to teach Lana a lesson that is if she ever actually wrestled.

- Naomi vs. Brie Bella: The match closes out with, Naomi hitting a leg drop and a running bulldog on Brie. Brie dodges a split legged moonsault and unloads Yes Kicks on Naomi. Tamina distracts Brie, allowing Naomi to apply her crucifix submission and forcing Brie to tap out. After the match, Lana appears on the RAW stage and laughs at Brie.
Winner: Naomi, by submission.

- Backstage, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch argue over who won earlier. Charlotte interrupts and announces they both will fight again on Smackdown to determine the #1 Contender.

- Dean Ambrose vs. Alberto Del Rio: The match closes out with, Del Rio going for the cross arm breaker, but Ambrose counters with Dirty Deeds. Del Rio counters and shoves Ambrose off, but Ambrose returns with a rebound clothesline. Ambrose drop kicks Del Rio then leaps off the top rope to the floor on top of the League of Nations. Triple H arrives and gives the beat down signal to the LON. All four LON members begin to beat down Ambrose as Triple H looks on. Triple H tells Ambrose he will never beat The Authority. Ambrose responds by punching Triple H. Triple H hits a Pedigree on Ambrose. Triple H says Ambrose will get his title shot since he wants one so bad. Ambrose says thank you and then takes another series of punches from Triple H on the announcers table to end the show.
Winner: Dean Ambrose, by DQ.
