This week's NXT took place at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. NXT Women's Champion Asuka and Bayley sign on the dotted line to meet at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2 for the title. The Authors of Pain battled Adrian Nails and Rob Ryzin. Andrade Cien Almas battled Angelo Dawkins. Almas finds out who his opponent is for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2. Billie Kay battled Liv Morgan. Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano battled Tucker Knight and Patrick Clark. Main event time saw NXT World Champion Samoa Joe battle Mojo Rawley in a non-title match.

- NXT Women’s Championship Contract Signing: NXT Women's Champion Asuka, Bayley and NXT GM William Regal meet in the ring. Bayley says she's fought from day one, has faced the best, admits she wasn't ready against Asuka the first time, but this time she'll leave the only two time NXT Women's champion. Bayley signs the contract as Asuka takes the microphone. Asuka says she respects Bayley, but she doesn't have what it takes to beat Asuka. Bayley says that last time Asuka was in a contract signing she was left laid out, she better sign the contract or she'll meet that fate again. Asuka goes nose to nose with Bayley and then signs the contract. Bayley shoulder checks Asuka and goes nose to nose with her. Asuka laughs and leaves the ring staring down Bayley.
- The Authors of Pain vs. Adrian Nails and Rob Ryzin: The match closes out with the AOP hitting double power bombs on Nails and Ryzin. The AOP send Nails and Ryzin into each other and then hit their leg sweep/clothesline combo finisher for the pinfall. After the match, the AOP look to continue the attack on Nails and Ryzin, but TM61 hit the ring to make the save. Miller ends up getting power bombed and Thorne gets a side walk slam/head kick combo.
Winners: The Authors Of Pain, by pinfall. - Backstage, Shinsuke Nakamura lets Samoa Joe know that he isn't hard to find.
- Andrade Cien Almas vs. Angelo Dawkins: The match closes out with Almas kicking Dawkins and then gets a near fall sunset flip. Dawkins crawls to the corner, but eats the running double knees by Almas. Almas hits Dawkins with the hammer lock DDT for the pinfall. After the match, Bobby Roode arrives and congratulates Almas, but not for the win. Roode congratulates Almas because he has to wrestle Roode at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2. Roode says Takeover will be his showcase and it is going to be glorious.
Winner: Andrade Cien Almas, by pinfall. - Backstage, Austin Aries confronts NXT GM William Regal and says Takeover wouldn't be special unless Aries has an opponent. Regal gives Aries a man that he's been ducking, No Way Jose. Aries says he wasn't ducking him he was ignoring him, but he'll destroy him at Takeover.
- Billie Kay vs. Liv Morgan: The match closes out with Billie countering a flip and dropping Liv on the top turnbuckle. Billie hits an elbow on Liv for a near fall. Liv lands a jaw breaker and a monkey flip on Billie. Liv misses a kick and instead almost gets her head taken off by a Billie boot. Billie covers and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Billie Kay, by pinfall. - Backstage, NXT GM William Regal asks Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano if them fighting each other in the Cruiserweight Classic will affect them as a team. Before they can answer Regal gives them an NXT World Tag Team Championship Match at Takeover against The Revival.
- Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano vs. Tucker Knight and Patrick Clark: The match closes out with Knight hitting a corner splash on Ciampa. Knight misses a head butt and Ciampa tags in Gargano. Gargano hits an enziguri on Knight and follows that up with a spear. Ciampa and Gargano hit their superkick/knee strike combo for the pinfall.
Winners: Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, by pinfall. - Backstage, Mojo Rawley says he is going to bring the fight to Samoa Joe.
- Mojo Rawley vs. Samoa Joe: The match closes out with Joe going for the Muscle Buster, but Rawley escapes. Rawley takes Joe out with a top rope clothesline. Joe goes for the Coquina Clutch submission, but Rawley counters and hits a full nelson slam for a near fall. Rawley splashes Joe in the corner, but misses the second attempt, as Joe hits a uranage suplex on Rawley. Joe traps Rawley in the Coquina Clutch submission and makes Rawley tap out. After the match, Joe reapplies the Coquina Clutch submission on Rawley. Shinsuke Nakamura appears and heads to the ring. NXT security hit the ring and keep both Nakamura and Joe separated. Nakamura laughs as Joe is held back and pretends to grab Joe's nose, pissing Joe off. Nakamura pats Joe on the head and dances to end the show.
Winner: Samoa Joe, by submission.
