Wrestling Lockup with Brandon brought to you by Triple Threat CLE brings you the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2 recap from last night's show. Takeover took place live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The man himself, the brains behind NXT, Triple H, promised us an unforgettable night, via Twitter earlier in the day. "Double A" Austin Aries battled No Way Jose in a one on one match. Ember Moon made her official debut in NXT as she battled Billie Kay in one on one Women's Division action.Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode makes his official GLORIOUS debut and battled Andrade "Cien" Almas in one on one action. The NXT World Tag Team Champions The Revival defended their titles against Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano in tag team action. NXT Women's Champion Asuka put her undefeated streak and her title on the line against Bayley in a one on one match. In the main event, Samoa Joe defended his NXT World Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura.
*** NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2 ***
- Austin Aries vs. No Way Jose: The match closes out with Aries hitting a huge corner drop kick on Jose. Aries hits an elbow, but Jose comes back and hooks the full nelson slam. Aries counters the full nelson slam repeatedly and plants Jose with a crucifix bomb and another corner drop kick for a near fall. Aries and Jose head to the top rope and exchange punches. Jose takes control, but catches a blow to the throat by Aries. Aries sunset flip bombs Jose off the top rope and immediately turns that into a Last Chancery submission. Jose has nowhere to go and ends up tapping out.After the match, Aries attacks Jose from behind and beats Jose down. Aries, in control, reapplies the Last Chancery submission on Jose. Hideo Itami's music hits and out walks the Japanese sensation. Aries releases the Last Chancery submission on Jose and stares down Itami. Aries and Itami exchange shots in the ring until Itami takes control with lethal kicks. Itami lifts up Aries and hits the Go To Sleep, laying Aries out.Winner: Austin Aries, by submission.
- 16-Time World Heavyweight Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is spotted in the crowd taking in tonight's huge show.
- Ember Moon vs. Billie Kay: The match closes out with Billie unloading on Ember and pulling Ember's hair. Billie gets a near fall Widows Peak drop on Ember. Ember hits a back elbow on Billie, plants a kick to the gut, hits a neck breaker and a suplex. Ember does a flip into the corner and nails Billie. Ember goes to the top rope and hits a Twisting Stunner on Billie that Ember calls the O-Face. Ember covers and gets the quick debut pinfall.Winner: Ember Moon, by pinfall.
- Earlier today, Bobby Roode is interviewed. Roode is happy to be at NXT Takeover, however, considers Brooklyn to be the arm pit of New York. Someone as glorious as he is belongs in Manhattan.
- Bobby Roode vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas: The match closes out with Roode getting a near fall clothesline on Almas. Roode goes for a superplex off the top rope, Almas sends Roode off the ropes, but Roode lands on his feet. Roode goes for the fisherman's suplex pinfall, but Almas counters and rolls up Roode for a near fall. Almas and Roode trade shots in the middle of the ring. Almas kicks Roode in the corner, charges in and nails the running knees on Roode. Almas goes for a hammer lock DDT, but Roode counters and plants uppercuts on Almas. Almas and Roode trade counters leading to Roode nailing a huge boot on Almas. Roode plants Almas with a spine buster, follows that up with the Glorious Bomb and scores the pinfall.Winner: Bobby Roode, by pinfall.
- Earlier today, Triple H was with the crew from Orange County Choppers, who have created the Cruiserweight Classic Trophy. Triple H and the OCC reveal the trophy and it will be presented to the winner of the Cruiserweight Classic Tournament in September.

- "NXT World Tag Team Championship Match": The Revival (c) vs. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa: The match closes out with Dash Wilder hitting a DDT on Gargano for a near fall. Ciampa traps Scott Dawson in a submission as Gargano cuts off Wilder. Wilder is able to break the submission with a kick on Ciampa. Gargano hits a spear on Dawson and Ciampa gets the near fall. Dawson and Ciampa trade punches in the middle of the ring.The Revival hit their Shatter Machine finisher on Ciampa, but Gargano helps break up the pinfall. Ciampa and Gargano send Dawson outside and hit a double super kick on Wilder. Ciampa has the pinfall, but Dawson puts Wilder's foot on the bottom rope just before the three count, making the three illegal. Ciampa and Gargano's celebration is cut short and they go after Wilder again. Ciampa gets pulled outside and shoved into the ring post by Dawson.Gargano knocks Dawson off the apron, but gets chop blocked in the leg by Wilder. Wilder hits a stomp from off the top rope onto Gargano's leg, putting more damage on it. Dawson traps Gargano in a reverse figure four submission. Gargano tries to fight it, but gives in and taps out. After the match, Gargano is heart broken that he tapped out as Ciampa sits beside him. Gargano apologizes to Ciampa as they leave together.Winners: The Revival, by pinfall.
- WWE Women's Champion Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte are shown sitting in the crowd.
- "NXT Women's Championship Match": Asuka (c) vs. Bayley: The match closes out with Asuka kicking Bayley and Bayley tells her to do it again. Asuka unloads, but Bayley counters with a near fall back slide. Bayley unloads on Asuka, but eats a spinning back fist. Bayley catches an Asuka kick and plants Asuka with her version of a Styles Clash for a near fall. Asuka jumps on Bayley and goes for the Asuka Lock submission, but Bayley fights it. Asuka doesn't give up and finally locks it in tight on Bayley. Bayley refuses to quit, fights her way to her feet, counters the Asuka Lock and plants Asuka with the Bayley To Belly for a near fall. Bayley and Asuka trade counters until Asuka plants a kick right to Bayley's head. Bayley no sells it and continues to come after Asuka.Asuka plants another kick to Bayley's head and Bayley drops to her knees. Asuka plants a big round house kick to Bayley's head, covers and scores the pinfall. After the match, Asuka shows respect to Bayley by helping her to her feet. Bayley hugs Asuka, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, her mom and her super fan Izzy as she walks off to "Thank You Bayley" chants.Winner: Asuka, by pinfall, to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

- Violinist Lee England Jr. comes out and plays Shinsuke Nakamura's theme music on his violin.- "NXT World Championship Match": Samoa Joe (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: The match closes out with both men trading shots. Nakamura traps Joe in an arm breaker, but Joe counters and locks in a cloverleaf submission. Nakamura escapes and counters the Coquina Clutch, but Joe plants a knee on Nakamura for a near fall. Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch, but Nakamura makes it to the ropes.
Nakamura counters the Muscle Buster and hits a german suplex on Joe. Joe counters the Kinshasa knee and hits a power slam on Nakamura for a near fall. Joe plants an enziguri on Nakamura and then the Muscle Buster for another near fall. Joe goes for another Muscle Buster, but Nakamura counters and drops Joe with the Kinshasa. Nakamura covers, but Joe kicks out at two. Nakamura lands a blow to the back of Joe's neck and plants another Kinshasa on Joe. Nakamura covers and scores the pinfall. After the match, Nakamura celebrates as trainers check on Joe.Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura, by pinfall, to win the NXT World Championship.
