WWE Hell In A Cell Preview

By Brandon Albright, @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, brings you the WWE Hell In A Cell preview.

WWE Hell In A Cell takes place live at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts and of course can be viewed on the WWE Network. WWE Hell In A Cell will be the eighth event under the Hell In A Cell name. Hell In A Cell originally started out as it's own stipulation match, but grew into its own pay per view and highlighted the match as its main attraction. If you can't catch WWE Hell In A Cell, just check out Triple Threat CLE on Monday afternoon and I will have the whole recap of the show for you.

- "WWE Universal Championship, Hell In A Cell Match": Kevin Owens (c) vs. Seth Rollins: The Kevin Owens Show continues to roll on through the RAW roster. Last month at WWE Clash Of Champions, Owens battled and defeated Seth Rollins with the WWE Universal Championship on the line. The feud, however, did not stop there, as Rollins continued to try to get into Owens' head and get a rematch. Owens wasn't having it and refused to grant Rollins a rematch for the championship. RAW GM Mick Foley saw things differently than how Owens saw it and felt Rollins deserved another shot at the champion. Foley made the match official at WWE Hell In A Cell and made the stipulation that the match would take place inside the Hell In A Cell. The main reason is to keep out Owens' best friend, Chris Jericho, from interfering, causing controversy and making it an unfair match. Chris Jericho attempted to defeat Seth Rollins and earn a spot in the match too, making it a triple threat match, however, Jericho came up short as Rollins won the match and kept things one on one with Owens. Can Kevin Owens defeat Seth Rollins and continue to run RAW with the Kevin Owens Show? Will Seth Rollins complete his goal of winning the WWE Universal Championship in his quest to take down the WWE machine piece by piece?

- "WWE United States Championship, Hell In A Cell Match": Roman Reigns (c) vs. Rusev: Roman Reigns and Rusev have been in a heated feud throughout the summer over the WWE United States Championship. Last month at WWE Clash Of Champions, Reigns defeated Rusev to become the new WWE United States Champion. Rusev got his rematch the next night on RAW, however, both men were counted out and it settled nothing. Rusev's wife, Lana, sent a challenge to Reigns to meet Rusev inside the Hell In A Cell structure at WWE Hell In A Cell and defend his title. Reigns ended up brawling with Rusev throughout the arena and then accepted the challenge to battle Rusev one on one inside the Hell In A Cell, with the WWE United States Championship on the line. Can Reigns dominate the Bulgarian Beast and retain the championship? Can Rusev regain the championship and finally get his revenge for Lana?

- "WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship Match": The New Day (c) vs. Sheamus and Cesaro: Last month at Clash Of Champions, The New Day defeated Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to retain the WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship and are now closing in on a close to 450 day title reign. Also at Clash Of Champions, Cesaro and Sheamus had match number seven in their best of seven series to determine who was the better athlete. Their match, however, went to a draw and their was no clear cut winner. Both Sheamus and Cesaro felt that they deserved a title shot for proving that they were the better athlete. RAW GM Mick Foley agreed, but instead of a singles title shot, Foley put both Sheamus and Cesaro together in a tag team and gave them a tag team title shot at WWE Hell In A Cell. Sheamus and Cesaro hated the idea and spent the weeks leading into the pay per view arguing with each other. Can The New Day retain their titles and get closer to becoming the longest reigning champions? A record currently held by Demolition. Can Sheamus and Cesaro put their arguing and complaining with each other aside and win the tag team championship?

- "WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match": TJ Perkins (c) vs. Brian Kendrick: Last month, TJ Perkins won the Cruiserweight Classic tournament and became the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Perkins then went on to successfully retain his title against the veteran Brian Kendrick at Clash Of Champions. Kendrick showed his true colors after the match by giving Perkins a cheap shot after their hand shake. Kendrick challenged and defeated Perkins in a non title rematch the next night on RAW and became the #1 contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Perkins confronted Kendrick and dared him to show up at WWE Hell In A Cell as the Brian Kendrick that is a competitive wrestler and not the Brian Kendrick that takes cheap shots and looks for the easy win. Can Perkins retain his championship and defeat Kendrick? Will Kendrick prove that he is still competitive without taking short cuts to win matches?

- "WWE RAW Women's Championship, Hell In A Cell Match": Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte: Last month at Clash Of Champions, Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks and Bayley in a triple threat match to retain the WWE RAW Women's Championship. Sasha Banks, however, earned a one on one rematch for the title with Charlotte, main eventing an episode of RAW. Sasha defeated Charlotte and became the new WWE RAW Women's Champion for a second time. A week after winning the championship, Sasha challenged Charlotte to a rematch, but not in a regular one on one title match. Sasha dared Charlotte to make history with Sasha, as Sasha agreed to give Charlotte a title rematch inside the Hell In A Cell structure, the first in women's division history. Charlotte accepted the challenge and RAW GM Mick Foley made it official for WWE Hell In A Cell. Can Sasha defeat Charlotte inside the cell, now that she won't have to worry about Charlotte's protege Dana Brooke interfering? Can Charlotte defeat Sasha alone in the cell and regain the WWE RAW Women's Championship for a third time?

- Enzo and Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: Back in the beginning of October, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made it their mission to take the fun out of the RAW Tag Team Division. The Club started this mission by attacking and beating down and unsuspecting Enzo and Big Cass on an episode of RAW. The following week, Big Cass got a little bit of revenge on The Club as he defeated Karl Anderson in a one on one match. The week after that, Enzo got his revenge too as he also defeated Karl Anderson in a one on one match, with some help from Big Cass. The week before WWE Hell In A Cell, this tag team match was made official for the event. Can Enzo and Big Cass continue their great luck against The Club and pick up another victory? Will The Club finally defeat Enzo and Big Cass and continue to take apart all that is fun in the RAW Tag Team Division?

- Bayley vs. Dana Brooke: This feud began last month, as Bayley was supporting Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke was supporting Charlotte in their WWE RAW Women's Championship feud. Dana attempted to impress her mentor Charlotte and chose to begin to pick at Bayley, which Bayley refused to stand for. Bayley and Dana met in a one on one match where Dana targeted and injured Bayley's shoulder. Like a shark smelling blood, Dana granted Bayley a rematch on RAW, but made it an arm wrestling match and Bayley had to use her arm with her shoulder injury. Dana easily defeated Bayley, but then granted Bayley redemption by allowing her to use her good arm. Before Bayley could defeat Dana, Dana landed a cheap shot and beat down Bayley. Bayley returned fire and hit Bayley To Belly on Dana, chasing Dana from the ring. This match was made official for WWE Hell In A Cell, as both NXT recruits look to make a name for themselves on the RAW roster.

Kickoff Pre-show: WWE Hell In A Cell also promises action from the Cruiserweight Division as Sin Cara, Lince Dorado and Cedric Alexander battle Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and Drew Gulak in a "Six Man Tag Team Match, to kick off the pay per view.
