Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with this week's RAW Recap Edition.
This week's RAW was live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. RAW was the go home show to Sunday night's WWE Hell In A Cell event. Last week, Goldberg returned and accepted Brock Lesnar's challenge for a match, anytime, anyplace. This week, RAW invaded Lesnar's hometown of Minneapolis and Lesnar promised a rebuttal to Goldberg. Enzo battled Karl Anderson. WWE RAW World Tag Team Champions The New Day battled Sheamus and Cesaro in a non title match. Bayley battled Dana Brooke in an arm wrestling match. Bo Dallas battled Curtis Axel. Golden Truth battled The Shining Stars. WWE RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks and Charlotte meet face to face for a contract signing. Brian Kendrick battled Rich Swann. Sami Zayn battled Braun Strowman. Main event time saw best friends WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho battle Seth Rollins in a triple threat match.
*** RAW ***
- Chris Jericho Promo: Jericho says tonight's triple threat match is off because his List is missing. Kevin Owens arrives and says he'll help Jericho find it, but they need to take out Seth Rollins first. Stephanie McMahon comes out and tells Jericho she'll help him find it too, but he needs to stop acting ridiculous. Seth Rollins shows up hiding something behind his back, which turns out to be The List. Jericho calls Rollins a stupid idiot and demands his List back. Stephanie orders Rollins to return The List to Jericho. Rollins says that both Stephanie and Owens are on The List. Jericho calls Rollins a liar and says The List is for idiots like Rollins, Mick Foley and the fans. Rollins promises to defeat Owens inside Hell In A Cell, because Rollins thrives in the Cell. Rollins leaves and dares Jericho to come get his List.
- Backstage, Stephanie McMahon asks Seth Rollins where The List is. Rollins mocks Stephanie for acting like she cares about tonight's triple threat match and mocks Stephanie's husband Triple H. Rollins says The List is in the locker room and he thinks its funny that she's acting so afraid of Kevin Owens.
- Enzo vs. Karl Anderson: The match closes out with Enzo getting rolled up by Anderson. Cass distracts the referee and the referee misses Anderson's pinfall attempt. Luke Gallows yells at the referee for missing the pinfall and forces the referee to order Gallows off the apron. While the referee is distracted with Gallows, Cass gets in the ring and hits a big boot on Anderson. Enzo covers and scores the pinfall on Anderson.
Winner: Enzo, by pinfall. - Rusev Video: A video of Rusev cutting a promo from earlier is shown. Rusev says he'll defeat Roman Reigns inside the Hell In A Cell and become the new WWE United States Champion. Rusev says Reigns has done despicable things to him and Lana and now Rusev gets his revenge. Rusev promises to crush Reigns inside the Cell.
- The New Day vs. Cesaro and Sheamus: The match closes out with Cesaro and Kofi trading blows. Kofi counters the Cesaro Swing and gets a near fall rollup on Cesaro. Cesaro unloads a series of uppercuts until Kofi finally counters one and gets a near fall SOS. Big E and Sheamus both tag back in. Sheamus takes control, hits the Brogue Kick on Big E and scores the pinfall.
Winners: Cesaro and Sheamus, by pinfall. - Backstage, Chris Jericho is looking for his List. Primo, Epico, Jinder Mahal and Titus O'Neil all say that they haven't seen it.
- "Arm Wrestling Match": Bayley vs. Dana Brooke: The fans weren't too found of this idea as it received "This Is Boring" and "This Is Stupid" chants. Dana beats Bayley by forcing Bayley to use her bad arm. Dana says they can go again and Bayley can use her good arm if she wants. Just as Bayley is about to win, Dana lands a cheap shot and beats down Bayley. Bayley fires back and plants Dana with a Bayley To Belly, chasing her to the floor.
- Backstage, Chris Jericho is still looking for The List. Jericho finds Stephanie McMahon and he demands help finding it from her. Stephanie says Seth Rollins is doing this to take Jericho's mind off the triple threat match, Jericho needs to stop and get focused. Jericho refuses to wrestle until The List is found. Stephanie says if Jericho doesn't wrestle than he's suspended.
- Curtis Axel Promo: Axel says he used to believe in Bo Dallas, but after Bo's attack he's rethinking that. Axel says that when Bo attacked him, he attacked everything Axel stands for and Axel won't stand for that in his hometown of Minneapolis.
- Bo Dallas vs. Curtis Axel: The match closes out with Axel unloading on Bo with knees to the head. Bo counters an attempted knee and rolls up Axel for the pinfall.
Winner: Bo Dallas, by pinfall. - Backstage, Chris Jericho finally finds his List, but Braun Strowman is reading it. Jericho politely asks for it back. Strowman hands it back to Jericho, but asks why Sami Zayn isn't on The List before walking away.
- Roman Reigns Video: A video of WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns cutting a promo earlier is shown. Reigns says Rusev has no clue what it's like to be inside the Hell In A Cell structure. Reigns says things are about to get personal and once they enter the Cell, it won't be about Rusev's ruined wedding celebration, it'll be about Reigns retaining the WWE United States Championship.
- Golden Truth vs. The Shining Stars: Mark Henry was in Golden Truth's corner and Titus O'Neil was in The Shining Stars corner. The match closes out with Goldust hitting a power slam and then tags in Truth. Truth unloads, gets a near fall, but then falls outside, as Titus pulled down the ropes. Titus tries to interfere, but Mark Henry comes to the rescue and stops it from going down. Henry sends Titus into the barricade, as Goldust helps Truth score the pinfall.
Winners: Golden Truth, by pinfall. - Contract Signing Between Sasha Banks and Charlotte At Hell In A Cell: Mick Foley is in the ring with the contract and hypes Sasha vs. Charlotte inside the Hell In A Cell. Foley calls out both ladies and they all meet inside the ring. Foley praises both ladies, but Charlotte gets smart with Foley and demands him to hand over the contract so she can sign it. Foley goes off on both ladies and tells them the history of the Cell, how it made him the broken man that he is today and how the Cell will haunt them for the rest of their lives. Charlotte still shows confidence and brings up the fact that Sasha has been injured a handful of times already this year and will probably get injured again in the Cell. Sasha says she's never stayed down, she's gotten up every single time and has gotten better in the process. Foley cuts them both off and again goes off on them about the history of the Cell and how it could end their careers like it almost ended his. Foley finally hands over the contract to be signed. Charlotte signs and promises to see Sasha in Boston. Sasha signs and promises to see Charlotte in Hell.
WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins was on commentary. The match closes out with Swann countering Sliced Bread #2 and getting a near fall on Kendrick. Swann goes for a standing moonsault, but Kendrick counters by getting his knees up. Swann surprises Kendrick and gets a rollup pinfall on Kendrick.
Winner: Rich Swann, by pinfall. - Backstage, Kevin Owens says he's confident that he and Chris Jericho will take out Seth Rollins tonight. Owens says there will be no kids talking about how cool Hell In A Cell was because Owens will show every inspiring future wrestler how the Hell In A Cell can end your career, by ending Rollins'. Owens says the only thing that matters to him is the WWE Universal Championship and he will leave Hell In A Cell still the champion.
- Braun Strowman vs. Sami Zayn: Strowman refuses to fight Zayn and demands Mick Foley to bring him better competition. Zayn attacks Strowman from behind and gets Strowman to chase him around ringside. Zayn hits a couple drop kicks and then goes for a cross body out to the floor on Strowman. Strowman catches Zayn and hurls Zayn into the barricade. Strowman walks out and refuses to fight Zayn.
Winner: No Contest- Backstage, Brian Kendrick tells TJ Perkins that he needs to win their match at Hell In A Cell because this might be his last shot and he needs to feed his family. Perkins says he would've done anything to help the old Kendrick, but refuses to help this new Kendrick that he's become. Kendrick asks Perkins to lay down and let Kendrick win at Hell In A Cell. Perkins walks out disgusted.
- Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman Promo: Heyman says that Brock Lesnar was authorized to comment on the wannabe super dad/super hero Goldberg, after Goldberg's comments last Monday. A Goldberg chant starts, forcing Heyman to warn the fans that Lesnar is getting pissed off. Dueling chants for Goldberg and Suplex City start up next and Heyman again warns the fans to stop before Lesnar takes matters into his own hands. Heyman is disgusted that Brock Lesnar has come to his hometown and is getting forced to listen to Goldberg chants. Heyman blames Goldberg and promises that Goldberg will pay for this.
- Backstage, Chris Jericho is happy to have his List back, but is now skeptical of his friendship with Kevin Owens after Owens said that the only thing that means anything to him is the WWE Universal Championship.
- "Triple Threat Match": Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho: The match closes out with Rollins getting dumped outside and double teamed by Owens and Jericho. Rollins fights back into the ring and tosses Owens to the floor. Jericho gets a near fall rollup on Rollins. Rollins kicks Jericho in the face and then hits a suicide dive onto Owens outside. Rollins misses a top rope frog splash on Jericho, as Jericho rolls out of the way. Jericho hits the Code Breaker on Rollins and gets a near fall. Jericho argues with the referee as Owens gets back into the ring. Jericho and Owens go back to double teaming Rollins and go for a double team superplex off the top rope. Rollins blocks the superplex and rolls up both Owens and Jericho for the pinfall.
After the match, Rollins gets a double team beat down by Owens and Jericho. Rollins gets sent into the steel steps as WWE Security hit the ring. Rollins elbows a security guard and charges at Owens and Jericho on the RAW stage. Security tries to separate everyone, but Rollins chases Owens back to ringside. Owens and Rollins brawl until Owens sends Rollins into the ring post. Owens drills Rollins with the apron power bomb and leaves Rollins laid out on the floor. Owens celebrates with the WWE Universal Championship as RAW ends.
Winner: Seth Rollins, by pinfall.
