Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. It's this week's NXT and Smackdown recap for the week.
- This week's NXT took place at NXT's home base at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. Tonight's show was the go home show to this Saturday night's Takeover: Brooklyn pay per view.
- Sasha Banks vs. Bayley for the NXT Women's Championship Contract Signing: Bayley thanks NXT GM William Regal and the fans for this opportunity and signs the contract. Sasha says Bayley will learn why Sasha is called the boss and stamps her name on the contract. Sasha says other girls have been threats to her, but failed, Bayley is a loser and her fairy tale will end. Sasha says Bayley isn't worth the fight and walks away. Bayley tackles Sasha and unloads punches on the champ until referees arrive and separate the ladies.
- Hype for Apollo Crews' debut at Takeover: Brooklyn. - Tyler Breeze defeated Rob Ryzin, by pinfall. Breeze mocks Jushin Thunder Liger with a Liger mask. Breeze hits the Beauty Shot to score the pinfall. After the match, Breeze puts the Liger mask on Ryzin and says he's not impressed. Breeze hits another Beauty Shot and makes a pinfall count himself.
- Mojo Rawley, Zack Ryder, Enzo Amore and Big Cass defeated Jesse Sorensen and Three Local Wrestlers, by pinfall, in an Eight Man Tag Team Match. Ryder hits the Broski Boot. Enzo and Cass hit the Rocket Launcher for the pinfall.
- Dash, Dawson, Gable and Jordan make fun of Mojo, Ryder, Enzo and Cass, who will meet in a special NXT preshow match before Takeover: Brooklyn goes live.
- Samoa Joe defeated Steve Cutler, by submission. Joe hits the Uranage slam, then slaps on the Coquina Clutch. Cutler has to tap out. After the match, Baron Corbin attacks Joe and kicks Joe off the stage. Corbin tosses Joe into the ring and hits End of Days, leaving Joe laid out.
- Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy defeated Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton, by pinfall. Fulton is able to hit a back breaker and a gutwrench suplex. The tag champs fight back and hit the suplex/frog splash combo for the pinfall. After the match, The Vaudevillans arrive and state that they have the solution to how they will keep Alexa Bliss from interfering in their match at Takeover: Brooklyn. Alexa interrupts and slaps both Vaudevillans, forcing us to wait till Takeover.
- Kevin Owens Sends A Message To Finn Balor: Kevin Owens is in the ring with a microphone. Owens calls the crowd hypocrites, he was cheered until he beat Sami Zayn, the fans are ungrateful, he'll beat Finn Balor and rub it in the fans faces. Finn Balor interrupts and heads to the ring. Balor and Owens go toe to toe, trading punches right off the bat. Balor grabs a ladder and swings at Owens. Owens ducks and escapes from the ring. Owens and Balor have a stare down to end the show.
*** Smackdown ***- This week's Smackdown took place in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Tonight's show was the go home show to this Sunday night's Summer Slam pay per view.
- Ryback vs. Big Show goes to a double count out. Ryback and Show fight out to the floor. Ryback hits a clothesline on Show, sending Show crashing through the barricade in the timekeepers area. Both men fail to answer the referee's ten count.
- The New Day defeated Los Matadores and El Torito, by pinfall, in a Six Man Tag Match. Big E hits the running splash on Torito. Xavier Woods tags in and picks up the easy pinfall.
- Dolph Ziggler's Return: Dolph Ziggler and Lana are in the ring and Ziggler has a microphone. Ziggler says he missed Lana while out injured and the first thing she said to Ziggler when he returned was "crush those bastards". Ziggler and Lana make out and get interrupted by Rusev. Rusev says he's going to crush Ziggler and break him like a jigsaw puzzle at Summer Slam. Ziggler says he's kicking Rusev's teeth in and leaving with his real girlfriend, Lana.
- Neville defeated Bo Dallas, by pinfall. Neville drops Dallas, goes to the top rope and hits Red Arrow. Neville covers and scores the pinfall. After the match, Stardust and King Barrett appear on the titantron and promise they will defeat Neville and Stephen Amell at Summer Slam.
- The Revolution Continues: Team Bella are in the ring with microphones. Alicia Fox mentions about how great Nikki Bella's WWE Divas Championship run has been. Brie Bella makes fun of the current so called Divas Revolution. Team BAD interrupts. Sasha Banks says Brie has been riding her husband's success (Daniel Bryan) the past three years. Naomi and Sasha Banks mock Team Bella and predict Team BAD as the winners at Summer Slam. Becky Lynch and Charlotte of Team PCB interrupt next and predict their team wins at Summer Slam. We get a Triple Threat Match with one member from each team and that match is now.
- Brie Bella defeated Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, by pinfall, in a Triple Threat Match. Brie sneaks in behind Becky and is able to roll her up to pick up the pinfall for Team Bella.
- Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Cesaro all cut promos about their Summer Slam matches this Sunday. - Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Cesaro defeated Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Kevin Owens, by pinfall, in an Eight Man Tag Team Match. Dean Ambrose made the hot tag, unloads on Harper and plants the Wyatt member with Dirty Deeds. Ambrose covers and scores the pinfall. The good guys all celebrate to close out this weeks show.
