By @B_Rock1978

The Weekend 3 Count is brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. This week I bring you all the news and rumors around the WWE, TNA, GFW and the Independent wrestling scene for February 23rd - March 1st.

*** Weekend Flashback ***

- With Samoa Joe walking away from TNA, last week, and becoming a free agent, I figured I'd do a tribute to the "Samoan Submission Machine", this week. We're going back to highlights of TNA Lockdown 2008, when Samoa Joe won his only TNA World Heavyweight Championship, from Kurt Angle.

*** WWE News and Rumors ***

- Roman Reigns became the #1 Contender to Brock Lesnar's WWE World Heavyweight Championship last Sunday at Fast Lane.

- Randy Orton finally returned to the WWE last Sunday at Fast Lane. Orton attacked his former stablemates, The Authority. Orton would then go on to rejoin his former Authority running buddies the next night on RAW.

- Tyson Kidd and Cesaro defeated The Usos last Sunday at Fast Lane, to win the WWE World Tag Team Championship.

- Sting vs. Triple H was officially announced for Wrestlemania 31, last Sunday at Fast Lane.

- As of right now, the WWE is green lighting Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31. Undertaker, however, will not be making any RAW or Smackdown appearances from now until Wrestlemania 31. WWE is looking at keeping the suspense of the dead man returning until Wrestlemania.

- WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar, was at RAW last week and was supposed to be used in a segment. Sources have said that Lesnar got pissed off at a WWE backstage official and refused to do his segment. Lesnar was seen leaving the arena, which made WWE change things up last minute. Sources are saying that Lesnar was in talks with Vince McMahon about a new contract. Lesnar wasn't happy with what Vince had to say, so Lesnar stormed out.

- Brock Lesnar was also spotted at UFC 184 on Saturday night. Contract talks with Dana White?? Hmmmm

- The past few weeks on RAW, we've seen videos of the future return of Sheamus coming soon. Sources are saying that the plan may be for Sheamus to be a top heel in the company when he returns.

- The Bushwhackers were announced as the newest inductees into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame. The Bushwhackers join "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Rikishi and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Hall of Fame inductees for this year.

- Like husband, like wife. A.J. Lee dropped a pipe bomb on Stephanie McMahon by Twitter this week. A.J. tweeted about how unfair the Divas are treated in WWE with less pay and less air time than the males. Stephanie was said to have been furious over the tweet because it made it look like one of her employees were showing her up.

- This week marked the one year anniversary of the WWE Network.

- Sources have said that WWE have made an offer to the now free agent, Samoa Joe. No word on Joe's opinion of the offer as of yet.

- Former WWE World Tag Team Champion, The Brian Kendrick, showed up on NXT this week. Kendrick was in the main event against Finn Balor. Kendrick came up short, losing to Balor.

- WWE officially cut ties with Rey Mysterio this past Thursday. Mysterio was moved to the alumni page on WWE.com

- In DVD/Blu-Ray news, WWE is still planning on doing a "Best of WCW: Vol. 3". It is being targeted for a late summer release.

*** TNA News and Rumors ***

- Bobby Lashley successfully defended his TNA World Heavyweight Championship, this past week on Impact, defeating MVP.

- Sources have said that the morale in the TNA locker room has taken a huge hit, with Samoa Joe leaving. Many felt Joe was the go to guy for advice and leadership in the locker room.

- Mr. Anderson was hit with a Q&A recently, where he talked about his time in WWE and his current run in TNA. You can read that quick interview HERE.

- Now that Rey Mysterio has been released by the WWE, the talks of TNA going after Mysterio have picked up again.

*** GFW News and Rumors ***

- Things were quiet in the Jeff Jarrett promotion this week. Jarrett still is being expected to make a few announcements during Wrestlemania week.

*** Other Wrestling News ***

- Samoa Joe will be returning to Ring of Honor wrestling for a series of shows coming up. Joe has been the talk of the wrestling world, being a free agent. WWE, ROH, GFW and NJPW have all shown interest in landing the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion and multiple time TNA X-Division Champion.

Former WWE and TNA wrestler, Daivari, has signed with Lucha Underground.

- This week ESPN 30 for 30 ran a short film called "Wrestling The Curse". The film was about the Von Erich Family, their rise to fame and their heartbreaking tragedies in the family.

And that is this weekend's 3 Count. Join me every Sunday afternoon, where I give you the major stories in WWE, TNA, GFW and the independent wrestling scene. Till next time, tap or snap.
