Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 8.12.14: WWE Raw

It's Tuesday afternoon and it's time for another Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat Podcast. Last night's RAW served as the go home show to SummerSlam this Sunday, live on the WWE Network. Last night's RAW was also the "Immortal" Hulk Hogan's birthday celebration! The former nWo leader turned 61 today. Yes even I was a Hulkamaniac when I was little....BROTHER!

- RAW kicked off live from Portland, Oregon. The stage was setup with a load of Red and Yellow wrapped presents for the Hulkster. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman make their way to the ring for a promo. Heyman builds up Lesnar for his match against John Cena at SummerSlam, brags about Undertaker's streak being broken at Wrestlemania by Lesnar, brags about Lesnar at one time taking out The Rock and Hulk Hogan and says after Sunday no one will see John Cena around anymore. We see clips of Extreme Rules 2012 when Lesnar fought Cena, Heyman says Cena only won that match because Lesnar was not at 100% but Lesnar is 100% now. Heyman cuts a freestyle rap on Lesnar beating Cena at SummerSlam. Heyman lets everyone know that this is Brock Lesnar's house now.

- "2 on 1 Handicap Match": Roman Reigns vs Ryback and Curtis Axel: Corporate Kane returns and announces this match before it starts. Reigns wins by DQ after getting double teamed into the outside ringpost. Reigns lays out Ryback and Axel with "Superman Punches" and spears. Reigns cuts a promo after the match talking about his SummerSlam match with Randy Orton.

- Corporate Kane and Randy Orton are backstage. Orton says he'll end Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. Kane says The Authority put Orton in a match against Sheamus tonight cause it's what's best for business.

- Rob Van Dam vs Seth Rollins: Rollins hits the "Curb Stomp" on RVD for the pinfall. Rollins walks past Hulk Hogan's presents just a little paranoid, looking for Dean Ambrose. Ambrose pops out of the life sized present and unloads with punches on Rollins. Rollins runs for his life and escapes through the crowd. Ambrose says for $9.99 he'll get his money's worth out of Rollins at SummerSlam when he beats his ass.

- Stephanie McMahon is out to cut a promo. Stephanie calls out Daniel Bryan's physical therapist, Megan, and she claims that she slept with Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan's wife, Brie Bella, storms the ring and slaps Megan as Stephanie eggs her on. Brie spear tackles Stephanie and puts her in the "Yes Lock". WWE officials pull Brie off of Stephanie, Stephanie says they'll finish this tonight instead of at SummerSlam.

- Cesaro vs Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter): Former Real Americans went one on one. Cesaro works on Swagger's injured ribs from Rusev last Monday. Swagger makes Cesaro tap out to the "Patriot Lock". After the match Zeb cuts a promo on how Swagger will beat Rusev at SummerSlam. Rusev and Lana interrupt and wave the Russian flag on the stage.

- A one on one interview segment from earlier today is shown between Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho, building up their SummerSlam match. Wyatt says Jericho isn't a savior just a scared little boy. Jericho says he never said he was a savior. At SummerSlam he's following the buzzards and shoving them down Bray's throat.

- A.J. Lee vs Eva Marie: Paige arrives, skipping down to the ring. Eva rolls up A.J. on the distraction and scores the pinfall. Paige reads a poem she wrote for A.J. about punching her and leaving SummerSlam with her Divas Title. A.J. goes into "crazy" mode and attacks Eva.

- John Cena is in the ring for a promo on his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Cena says he's winning at SummerSlam and not laying down for Lesnar cause he doesn't deserve the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Cena calls Lesnar uncaring, unprofessional, undeserving and a bully. Cena says if this is Lesnar's house then Cena is a stranger in his house so come get some. Lesnar doesn't show, Cena says he must be suffering from "punk-bitch- itis" and says he's leaving SummerSlam still the champ.

- Stephanie McMahon vs Brie Bella: Stephanie comes out and says they're waiting till SummerSlam, that is if Brie makes it there. Daniel Bryan's therapist, Megan, pressed charges on Brie. So Stephanie calls out the police to arrest Brie.

- Dolph Ziggler vs Heath Slater: The Miz is on commentary. The Miz distracts Ziggler after Ziggler hit the "Zig Zag". Ziggler beats up and chases The Miz from ringside. Ziggler, however, gets counted out in the process. Slater has a two match winning streak going! Ziggler lays Slater out with another "Zig Zag" after the match.

- Randy Orton vs Sheamus: Orton catches Sheamus with a mid air "RKO" as Sheamus came off the top rope for the pinfall.

- Hulk Hogan's Birthday Celebration! The RAW locker room is emptied out and on stage for the Hulkster's celebration. "Mean" Gene Okerlund and manager "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart introduce Hogan. We see clips of Hogan's life on the titantron. Hogan says thank you to everyone and says Vince McMahon gave him a birthday card with $9.99 inside. Hogan says he loves everyone and thanks everyone again. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, nWo running buddies Kevin Nash and Scott Hall all arrive to celebrate. Scott Hall does a survey, Hogan rips his shirt off to reveal an nWo shirt and Kevin Nash begins to sing happy birthday when suddenly Brock Lesnar's music hits. Lesnar and Heyman get in the ring and Lesnar eyeballs all the legends in the ring. Lesnar gets in Hogan's face and says "parties over grandpa". John Cena hits the ring for the save and we have a Lesnar/Cena standoff. Lesnar backs down and leaves the ring with Heyman as RAW closes out.
