- Jinder Mahal Promo: Mahal arrives with the Punjabi Prison structure surrounding the ring. Mahal says the Punjabi Prison will be the legacy of Randy Orton's final resting place and then goes over the rules of the match. Mahal says he'll smash Orton's face into the structure until it matches the ugliness of our nation, drop Orton off the structure with the Cobra Clutch Slam and then walk out of the Prison still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Randy Orton interrupts and says that Mahal is either a brave SOB or not too bright for wanting to be locked in the Prison with Orton. Orton begins to climb the structure and reminds Mahal he can't run, hide, escape or get help from The Singh Brothers. Orton says he has nothing to lose, his family to fight for and wonders what 1.3 billion people in India will think when he exposes Mahal as a disgrace. Orton sits on top of the Prison wall and promises to leave Mahal's jacked up ass lying and leave the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WWE Battleground, to end the segment.

- Jimmy Uso vs. Kofi Kingston: The match closes out with Kofi countering a superplex and lands a head butt on Jimmy. Jey Uso gets on the apron, but Big E and Woods are there to assist Kofi. Kofi hits a cross body block on Jimmy, but Jimmy rolls it through and scores the pinfall.

- Backstage, Shane McMahon is with all 5 ladies that will be in the Fatal Five Way Match at WWE Battleground. Charlotte says she wants to fight Lana tonight, but Nattie Neidhart interrupts and says she wants Lana tonight. Shane says no one is fighting Lana as Becky Lynch and Tamina trade insults. Nattie suggests Charlotte vs. Becky, but Charlotte says Shane wants something better because Charlotte beats Becky all the time. Becky isn't happy with Charlotte's comments so Shane makes that match official for tonight.

- Backstage, Chad Gable says it would've been nice if Jason Jordan would've given Gable a heads up about splitting up American Alpha and jumping to RAW. Gable says he spoke to Jordan after RAW and knows that he and Kurt Angle have a new beginning together and Gable supports Jordan. Gable says this opens the door for him to make a new beginning in his career now.

- Mike Kanellis vs. Sami Zayn: The match closes out with Zayn taking out Kanellis in the corner with an Exploder. Maria Kanellis gets in the ring and yells at both Zayn and the referee. Mike uses the distraction, cheap shots Zayn and hits a Samoan Driver to score the pinfall.

- John Cena Promo: Cena talks about his Flag Match against Rusev at WWE Battleground, goes over the rules and says how much he hates Rusev for the way he disrespects America. Cena says fans hate him, but everyone loves America and promises that he's ready to defend our nation. Cena waves the American flag that's posted in the corner and says that America is a nation of fighters that never give up. Rusev suddenly jumps the barricade from the crowd and attacks Cena from behind. Rusev unloads on Cena and lands a thrust kick. Rusev hits the stomp and then traps Cena in The Accolade submission. Cena tries to power out, but Rusev shuts Cena down and leaves Cena laid out. Rusev grabs the Bulgarian flag posted in the corner and waves it to end the segment.

- Backstage, AJ Styles tries to talk strategy and about Japan with Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura isn't interested and instead points at Styles' WWE United States Championship and says the day Styles is ready Nakamura will answer the call.

- Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte: The match closes out with Becky countering Natural Selection and traps Charlotte in the Dis Arm Her submission. Charlotte escapes and plants a big boot on Becky for a near fall. Charlotte attempts the moonsault off the ropes, but misses. - Backstage, WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion Naomi says she's not defending her title at WWE Battleground, but will be the first to congratulate whoever wins the Fatal Five Way Match. Carmella interrupts and tells Naomi that she goes where ever the champ goes and maybe we'll see a Money In The Bank cash in at WWE Battleground.

- We get the Fashion X Files this week with Fandango and Tyler Breeze. Breezango get a package with the head of a stuffed animal horse inside. They also receive a note that says "Battleground". Breezango plan to show up at WWE Battleground and end whoever is stalking them once and for all.
