Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 7.12.16: RAW Results #RAW

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with this week's RAW Recap Edition. 

This week's RAW was live in Detroit, Michigan. The man himself, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, returned to WWE this week! What did the boss have to say to the WWE Universe? A new #1 contender was crowned to face The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE Battleground, in a battle royal. Sheamus battled Zack Ryder in a one on one match. The Lucha Dragons battled Tyler Breeze and Fandango in tag team action. Seth Rollins debuts his new Rollins Report Show. Kevin Owens battled Cesaro in one on one action. Titus O'Neil battled Heath Slater of The Social Outcasts in one on one action. The New Day confront The Wyatt Family at the Wyatt Family compound. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson of The Club battled Enzo and Big Cass in tag team action. Sasha Banks battled Dana Brooke in women's division action.

*** RAW ***

- The Miz Promo: Miz kicks off RAW and states that he doesn't care who wins the battle royal because they will lose to The Miz at WWE Battleground because he's AWWEESSSOOMMMEEEEE!
 

- #1 Contender, Battle Royal Match: Competitors: The Dudleys, Golden Truth, The Vaudevillains, Baron Corbin, The Ascension, The Usos, Apollo Crews, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Darren Young, Jack Swagger, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel: The Final Four came down to Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Darren Young and Apollo Crews. Ziggler and Corbin trade blows on the apron until Corbin finally gains control and tosses Ziggler to the floor for the elimination. Corbin sends Crews to the floor for another elimination as Crews went for a clothesline. Corbin, however, falls with Crews and is eliminated as well. Darren Young is left alone for the victory. After the match, Young's life coach, Bob Backlund, celebrates with Young.
Winner: Darren Young, to become the #1 contender to the The Miz and the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- Backstage, Shane and Stephanie McMahon wonder why Vince McMahon is here. Seth Rollins interrupts and says he has exclusive footage to the Roman Reigns controversy. Shane says he should do it on the Ambrose Asylum. Rollins pitches his own show called Rollins Report and Stephanie approves it.

- Backstage, Zack Ryder challenges Rusev to a match at WWE Battleground. Sheamus attacks Ryder and lays Ryder out. Sheamus tells Ryder he needs to worry about him and not Rusev.

- Sheamus vs. Zack Ryder: The match closes out with Sheamus countering the Broski Boot with a clothesline. Ryder counters a second clothesline attempt with a boot to Sheamus. Ryder goes to the top rope, but Sheamus makes the stop. Sheamus ends up hitting the Brogue Kick on Ryder and scores the pinfall. After the match, Rusev hits the ring and attacks Ryder. Ryder fights back, but gets planted with a belly to belly from Rusev. Rusev traps Ryder in The Accolade submission.
Winner: Sheamus, by pinfall.

- Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs. The Lucha Dragons: The match closes out with Kalisto botching a springboard and Breeze capitalizes. Kalisto comes back with a springboard splash on Breeze, a back flip kick and a hurricanrana face buster. Kalisto goes to the top rope, but Breeze hits a super kick and scores a roll up pinfall.
Winners: Tyler Breeze and Fandango, by pinfall.

- The Rollins Report with Seth Rollins: Seth Rollins shows a forged one on one interview he did with Roman Reigns. The tape is fixed with Reigns saying he's proud of his suspension, he's pissed at Dean Ambrose and Rollins should be given a one on one match against Ambrose. Dean Ambrose interrupts and says the video was pretty funny, but Rollins is the real joke. Rollins guarantees he's winning back the title and proving he's more superior than Ambrose and Reigns. Ambrose offers Rollins a one on one match anytime anyplace. Rollins says next week on Rollins' time.

- Backstage, Kevin Owens complains to Stephanie McMahon that Sami Zayn is sitting at the commentary table. Stephanie sends out referees to escort Zayn out. Zayn says Shane McMahon gave him permission to be there. Zayn attacks Owens as he comes to the ring forcing WWE officials to separate them.

- Backstage, Mr. McMahon says he's here to name a commissioner for Smackdown Live.

- Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro: The match closes out with Cesaro countering a tornado DDT and sitting Owens on the top rope. Owens counters a Cesaro mount and crotches him on the top rope. Owens hits a swinging neck breaker on Cesaro and scores the pinfall. After the match, Sami Zayn hits the ring and attacks Owens. Owens tries to run away, but Cesaro catches Owens and spins him in the Cesaro Swing.
Winner: Kevin Owens, by pinfall.

- Titus O'Neil vs. Heath Slater: The match closes out with Slater trying to drag Titus, but Titus tosses Slater across the ring. Slater leaps off the top rope, but gets caught by Titus in midair. Titus hits a series of back breakers and then plants Slater with the Clash Of The Titus for the pinfall.
Winner: Titus O'Neil, by pinfall.

- The New Day Go To The Wyatt Family Compound: The Wyatt's try to run over the New Day with a car before fighting in an open field. Bray Wyatt swings an axe at Woods and just misses, then tosses Woods into a tree and carries him off. Rowan and Strowman toss Kofi and Big E into parked cars. Woods comes back and beats up the Wyatt's with a trash can lid. Woods gets tossed into the back seat of a car, but Big E and Kofi make the save. The New Day confront Bray, who's kneeling in a field. A bunch of flood lights pop on and a group of Wyatt followers appear in lamb masks. The video cuts out with it unknown what happened to The New Day.

- Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Enzo and Big Cass: The match closes out with Cass getting the hot tag and cleans house. Cass hits the Empire Elbow and a fallaway slam. Cass hits a big boot and then along with Enzo hits the double team Rocket Launcher finisher. AJ Styles hits the ring and attacks Cass, getting The Club DQ'ed. After the match, The Club beat down Cass and Enzo when suddenly John Cena hits the ring for the save. Enzo, Cass and Cena clear the ring and stand tall.
Winners: Enzo and Big Cass, by DQ.

- Sasha Banks vs. Dana Brooke: The match closes out with Sasha hitting a double knee in the corner on Dana. Sasha goes to the top rope, but Dana cuts her off. Sasha shoves Dana off and gets a near fall top rope cross body. Dana blocks the Banks Statement and misses a clothesline. Sasha catches Dana and locks in the Banks Statement for the tap out win. After the match, Charlotte requests that Sasha fights Dana again on Smackdown because Charlotte still feels that Sasha isn't worthy of a WWE Women's Championship match.
Winner: Sasha Banks, by submission.

- Mr. McMahon's "The Decision": Vince, Shane and Stephanie McMahon are all in the ring. Vince says he's a little disappointed because Shane and Stephanie aren't acting like McMahon's. Vince says Stephanie isn't as evil as she used to be. Vince says Shane lost his Ruthless Aggression. Vince says they both need to convince him that they should be in charge of the WWE. Stephanie tries to rat out Shane by saying he says bad things about Vince behind his back. Shane says he's the only one who tells Vince what he thinks respectfully, never kisses ass and would be great running Smackdown. Vince finally announces that Stephanie will be the commissioner of RAW and Shane will be the commissioner of Smackdown. Shane and Stephanie both need to pick their general managers that will run their shows next Monday on RAW.
Vince says he wants to see Shane and Stephanie do whatever it takes to make their show #1, even if it means breaking the law, just don't get caught. Stephanie says she'll make Shane wish he was never even born. Shane tells Stephanie game on. Stephanie says that there is only one Game in this business and she is married to him. Stephanie then slaps Shane in the face to end the show.
