*** WWE/NXT ***

- Dean Ambrose Replacing Roman Reigns On Tour: WWE announced that during Roman Reigns' suspension, Dean Ambrose will be taking Reigns' spot during the live tour and when WWE visits Japan.

- Reigns Suspension News: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently stated that Roman Reigns was ordered by Mark Carrano, who is one of Triple H's right hand men, to apologize to the WWE locker room for his recent suspension. Reigns obeyed and apologized. Sources have also said that there seemed to be mixed reactions on the whole thing, some thinking an apology was embarrassing to Reigns and unneeded. Others felt it was the right thing to do. Reigns' suspension will cost him around $100,000 or more as WWE talents do not get paid any of their wrestling pay while suspended. WWE talents do get paid based on merchandise sold while suspended and any royalties but don't get paid their downside guarantees while suspended. Reigns is currently serving a 30-day suspension for his first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy.

- WWE Having Problems Signing Veterans: Sources have said that the WWE have currently hit a road block on bringing in past veteran talent to help with the brand split. Sources have said that WWE have reached out to MVP, Jeff Hardy, Carlito, Shelton Benjamin, Rey Mysterio and Stevie Richards as some of the veteran talent to try to sign. The main issue that has caused all the above to hold out is that WWE is expecting to only use them as mentors to the up and coming talent and have no plans to push them any higher in the company. Some of the above have already stated that they feel they can be used as more of an asset or main eventer somewhere else.

- WWE Raiding NXT: With the current issues with trying to sign veteran talent, WWE may be planning to go with Plan B. Plan B will be calling up about 10-12 NXT wrestlers to help with the brand split. As of right now there is a possibility that Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Jason Jordan, Chad Gable, Kota Ibushi,  Bayley, Nia Jax and Carmella could be heading to the main roster

- What Happens To NXT?: If WWE decides to call up a large amount of NXT stars like planned where would this leave NXT? Sources are saying that NXT will use newly signed talent Bobby Roode, Eric Young, Cedric Alexander, Zack Sabre Jr. and current NXT Women's Champion, Asuka as the NXT work horses and will also be watching any strong independent wrestling talent that pops up on their radar. Many feel that WWE is taking a huge risk with their NXT promotion by taking a huge amount of their talent away.

- WWE Drops Rights To Balor Club: This past week WWE abandoned their trademark registration for “Balor Club". WWE originally filed for the trademark in April 2015 and filed for it again in January of this year with the U.S. Trademark office. The issue was there was a conflict with Baylor University and that’s why WWE was not able to get ownership. Baylor Club is a private club located in Waco, TX’s McLane Stadium and is owned by Baylor University. It is unknown at this time if WWE will seek a new name or stick with "The Club".

- Neville Return Update: WWE have scheduled Neville to compete on the WWE Overseas Tour in Australia and New Zealand in August against Chris Jericho. Neville has been out of action since he fractured his ankle during a match with Jericho on RAW this past March.

- Billie Kay Called Up: NXT Women's wrestler, Billie Kay, made her official debut on the main roster this week on Smackdown.

- Hideo Itami Returns: Itami finally made his long awaited return to the ring at Thursday nights NXT live event. Itami has been out of action for over a year with a shoulder injury. Officials in attendance noted that Itami looked great in the ring with no signs of ring rust.

- Bianca Blair Debuts In NXT: New NXT talent and Crossfit athlete Bianca Blair, made her first live debut with NXT. Blair is using the name Binky Blair for her wrestling name at this time.

- Top 10 Rematches That Need To Happen In WWE: This week there was a top 10 list of ten matches that fans would like to see rematches of in WWE, that happened in other promotions.

#10. Bobby Roode vs. Austin Aries
#9. Sami Zayn vs. Kalisto
#8. Apollo Crews vs. Johnny Gargano
#7. Cesaro vs. Luke Harper
#6. Oney Lorcan vs. Tommy End
#5. Kevin Owens vs. Roderick Strong
#4. Finn Balor vs. Kota Ibushi
#3. John Cena vs. Samoa Joe

#1. Brock Lesnar vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

- Welcome To Suplex City!: WWE announced on Monday that Brock Lesnar will be featured on this year's WWE 2K17 video game. As of now, John Cena, Sasha Banks, Ultimate Warrior, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg (Pre-Order Character) have all been officially announced for this year's game that hits stores in October.

- Jerry Lawler's Domestic Assault Charge Update: Jerry Lawler's attorney Ted Hansom announced that the domestic assault charges against Jerry "The King" Lawler and his fiancee, Lauryn McBride, were dropped Friday. Hansom said that it was a big misunderstanding, it won't happen again and they are happy with the outcome. Lawler, 66, and McBride, 27, were arrested in Memphis on June 17th after they both accused each other of domestic violence.

In the incident report at Lawler's home it stated: Lawler and McBride argued over McBride lying about where she had been. Lawler said McBride was intoxicated and he tried to prevent her from leaving in her car. She then scratched the right side of his face, threw a candle at him and kicked him the groin. Lawler alleged that she got a gun from the garage and threatened to kill herself. McBride claimed Lawler held her against a kitchen counter during the argument. She said he hit her in the front left side of her head and pushed her against a stove. Lawler then retrieved an unloaded pistol, placed it on the counter and said, "Go ahead and kill yourself."

Both were arrested when officers could not determine who was the primary aggressor. Lawler was suspended indefinitely by WWE following the arrest.

- Lawler's Future: WWE officially announced that Jerry Lawler's indefinite suspension has been lifted due to charges being dropped.

*** OTHER NEWS ***

- As The Gold Medal Turns, The Kurt Angle Story: Last week, Kurt Angle stated on the Mark Madden show in Pittsburgh, that he had spoken to Triple H and Vince McMahon about a return to the WWE, with the brand split coming up. A few days later, WWE made a statement saying Angle would not be returning to the WWE. This week, Kurt Angle has issued another statement, this time on Facebook saying his words were all twisted around by wrestling news sites. Angle stated that he never once said anything about returning for the brand split when he spoke to Triple H and Vince McMahon. The following is what Angle put on his Facebook page:

"In response to some of your questions today regarding the WWE, and all of the media fanfare about it the last few days, I want to, once again, say that our confidential conversation never discussed the brand split. A few wrestling sites seem to have put a spin on this by twisting some words around to fit their agenda, something that I have no control over. What I CAN control is my own life, and my life isn't only wrestling. I do not expect to be in wrestling much longer. I AM excited about my future. Thank you."

- Hernandez Involved In A Backstage Brawl: Former TNA and Lucha Underground star Shawn Hernandez was involved in a real life locker room brawl with Brent McKenzie before last Saturday night’s Texas All Star Wrestling event in Cypress, TX. Hernandez and McKenzie continued their feud on Twitter on Sunday as they took verbal shots at each other on who got the best of who.

- Moose Not Going To WWE: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter announced that Moose isn't going to be in the WWE at this time like originally planned. WWE has backed off, reportedly due to a 2009 domestic violence allegation, which led to Moose being suspended for a game. Due to the recent situations with Adam Rose and Jerry Lawler, WWE is being extra careful in regards to anything involved with domestic violence.

- Cody Rhodes WWE News: A few weeks back WWE reached out to Cody Rhodes on a possible Legends contract, so WWE could continue to sell merchandise with Cody's image. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed that WWE's Mark Carrano recently called Cody about a Legends deal. Last word, there was no new deal reached, Cody was said to be upset because their conversation was supposed to be confidential but it ended up all over the internet pretty quickly.

- Roderick Strong Update: Last week marked Strong's last show with Ring of Honor and he officially became a free agent. Strong recently announced he'll be wrestling at a show for EVOLVE on July 16th and will also perform at PWX on July 24th. PWX is a promotion based in my current hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina and usually has a show somewhere in my area every other weekend or so.
