Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 2.16.16: #RAW Recap

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with the RAW Recap Edition. 

This week's RAW was live in Anaheim, California. Tonight's RAW served as the go home show to this Sunday's WWE Fastlane pay per view. (Quick Note: Stay tuned this week as I'll be posting the WWE Fastlane pay per view preview). Dean Ambrose is forced to defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal Five Way Match. The New Day end their friendship with Mark Henry and challenge him one on one. Brie Bella and Charlotte continue their feud leading up to their match at WWE Fastlane. The Miz battled AJ Styles one on one. Becky Lynch battled Naomi. Braun Strowman went one on one against The Big Show in the main event.

*** RAW ***

- Dean Ambrose Promo: Ambrose says he's looking forward to WWE Fastlane and if Brock Lesnar is in California maybe he should come to the ring and get some. Stephanie McMahon interrupts and begins to taunt Ambrose. Stephanie tries to get Ambrose to turn on Roman Reigns and asked Ambrose if he really wanted an F-5 like he's getting at WWE Fastlane. Stephanie announces Ambrose will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal Five Way Match tonight and if Reigns interferes Ambrose will be DQ'ed and lose his #1 Contenders shot at WWE Fastlane.

- "WWE Intercontinental Championship, Fatal Five Way Match": Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Kevin Owens vs. Stardust vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Dolph Ziggler: The match closes out with, Ambrose taking out Stardust with a clothesline and a running bulldog. Ambrose fights off Stardust and Breeze while on the top rope, but Ziggler runs up and hits an X-Factor on Ambrose off the top rope. Owens hits a series of cannonballs on everyone accept Breeze, who super kicks Owens and then hits the Beauty Shot for a near fall. Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds, but Ziggler interrupts with the Zig Zag. Owens hits a pop up power bomb on Breeze as everyone is down and scores the pinfall to win the title.
Winner: Kevin Owens, by pinfall, to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- Backstage, Dean Ambrose says losing the WWE Intercontinental Championship is a step back, but at WWE Fastlane he's winning and moving on to Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

- Backstage, Dolph Ziggler challenges Kevin Owens to a WWE Intercontinental Championship Match at WWE Fastlane. Owens says nope.

- The New Day Promo: The New Day talk about being guests on The Cutting Edge Peep Show with Edge and Christian at WWE Fastlane. The New Day then taunt Mark Henry since he stranded them last week and call Henry the World's Strongest Booty Hole.

- Mark Henry vs. Big E.: The match closes out with, Big E getting a near fall running splash. Big E then gets another near fall splash. Henry hip tossed Big E on a abdominal stretch. Henry goes down in pain as Big E went for the Big Ending. Big E covers Henry and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Big E, by pinfall.

- Brie Bella Promo: Brie talks about her husband, Daniel Bryan, retiring last week and gets interrupted by Charlotte and Ric Flair. Charlotte talks about how great Bryan was, Brie should be home taking care of him and knows Brie is only wrestling Charlotte at WWE Fastlane for the money they now need. Brie is disgusted by Charlotte. Charlotte says she's worried about how ugly Brie's kids will be when they have them. Brie attacks Charlotte, until Charlotte escapes.

- The Miz vs. AJ Styles: The match closes out with, Styles getting a near fall Pele Kick and then goes to the top rope. Miz crotches Styles, but Styles regains himself and hits a springboard forearm on Miz. Miz is able to hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Styles and just gets a near fall. Miz misses a corner splash, Styles rolls through and locks Miz in the Calf Crusher submission, forcing Miz to tap out. After the match Styles challenges Chris Jericho to one more match. Jericho says he'll think about it and answer him on Smackdown.
Winner: AJ Styles, by submission.

- The Dudley Boys Promo: The Dudleys fake out the fans by pretending to pull out a table. Bubba says everyone wants to see The Usos, but that's not happening after last week. Devon says they are the baddest team on the planet. Bubba says their legacy will not be defended by a table.

- Paige vs. Summer Rae: The match closes out with, Paige hitting a series of knees on Summer and sets Summer up for the PTO. Summer counters out and rolls Paige up for the pinfall.
Winner: Summer Rae, by pinfall.

- Paul Heyman Promo: Heyman hypes up WWE Fastlane, Brock Lesnar is extremely confident and calls Roman Reigns out so he can tell him something face to face. Reigns arrives and Heyman has something to say. Heyman says at WWE Fastlane no one will get by his "Beast" and Reigns will have a huge decision to make that will involve his best friend Dean Ambrose and the promise Reigns made to his daughter. Reigns says he's beaten Ambrose before and has beaten Lesnar's ass before. Reigns promises that Heyman will witness that again. Heyman and Reigns shake hands when suddenly the Dudley Boys attack Reigns from behind. Dean Ambrose hits the ring to make the save and helps Reigns fight off the Dudley Boys. After the attack, Ambrose grabs Reigns and goes for a surprise Dirty Deeds, but Reigns counters out. Reigns and Ambrose stare each other down, Ambrose smiles and points to the Wrestlemania sign.

- Heath Slater vs. Zack Ryder: The match closes out with, Bo Dallas distracting Ryder after Ryder flew over the ropes and took out the Social Outcasts. Slater takes advantage of the Dallas distraction and hits Ryder with an implant DDT to score the pinfall.
Winner: Heath Slater, by pinfall.

- "Six Man Tag Team Match": The Lucha Dragons and Neville vs. Rusev, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus: The match closes out with, The Lucha Dragons and Neville hitting suicide planchas to the floor on the League of Nations. Back in the ring, Sin Cara gets distracted by King Barrett, allowing Del Rio to hit a kick to Sin Cara's head. Del Rio puts Sin Cara in the tree of woe and nails the double foot stomp to score the pinfall. After the match, Del Rio challenges Kalisto to a "2 Out Of 3 Falls Match" for the WWE United States Championship at WWE Fastlane. Kalisto accepts the challenge.
Winners: Rusev, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus, by pinfall.

- Becky Lynch vs. Naomi: The match closes out with Becky landing a suplex on Naomi and plants a series of elbows. Naomi fires back and lands a series of kicks on Becky. Becky locks Naomi in the Dis-Arm-Her submission and forces Naomi to tap out. After the match, Naomi and Tamina double team and beat down Becky. Sasha Banks comes to the ring, but does it really slow allowing Becky to get beat down more. Sasha finally gets into the ring and Naomi and Tamina escape.
Winner: Becky Lynch, by submission.

- The Wyatt Family Promo: Bray Wyatt targets the WWE Universe and offers us freedom from what the Wyatts are about to unleash. Each member state their case and Strowman tells us to wake up or run! Big Show is out next for tonight's main event.

- Braun Strowman vs. The Big Show: The match closes out with The Wyatt Family hitting the ring and helping Strowman beat down Show. After the match, Ryback hits the ring and helps Show fight off the Wyatt Family. The Wyatts regain control in the 4-on-2 beat down, until Kane pops up through the canvas from under the ring and helps Show and Ryback clear the ring to end this weeks RAW.
Winner: Big Show, by DQ.
