Smackdown Live was live in Houston, Texas this week, for their fourth and final show for WWE Survivor Series weekend. The blue brand came up on the losing end of things at the pay per view this past Sunday. How will Smackdown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon and Smackdown Live GM Daniel Bryan rebound from their defeat??
** Smackdown Live Card **
- WWE Smackdown Live World Tag Team Champion Jey Uso battled Shelton Benjamin.
- The Bludgeon Brothers battled The Hype Bros.
- WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion Charlotte defended her title against Nattie Neidhart.
- Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn battled Randy Orton and The New Day in a handicap, lumberjack match.
** Smackdown Live **
- Shane McMahon Confronts Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn: Shane says that even in defeat Smackdown Live proved that they will be called the A Show from now on and he's proud of everyone accept for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Shane calls out Owens and Zayn, who arrive and begin mocking Shane. Shane says that Owens and Zayn have no respect for anyone in the locker room, no respect for the fans and no respect for Shane. Owens and Zayn state that they are valuable, but Shane feels different. Shane calls Owens and Zayn the most self absorbed, crazy, megalomaniacs that have ever stepped foot in a WWE ring. Smackdown Live GM Daniel Bryan interrupts and heads to the ring. Bryan says that Shane has every right to fire Owens and Zayn, but he has a better temporary solution instead of terminating their contracts. Bryan says that since everyone in the locker room hates their guts, tonight it'll be Owens and Zayn vs. Randy Orton and The New Day with the Smackdown Live locker room surrounding the ring as lumberjacks.
- Shelton Benjamin Battled Jey Uso: The first match of the night saw Shelton Benjamin step into the ring in a one on one match against Jey Uso. Chad Gable and Jimmy Uso go at it on the floor until Gable tosses Jimmy into the barricade. Jey with an Uso Kick on Benjamin and then takes out Gable for trying to distract him. Benjamin ends up hitting Pay Dirt on Jey and grabs the win.
- The Ladies Of NXT Debut: NXT's Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan arrive backstage, attack and beat down Naomi. Becky Lynch tries to make the save, but gets the three on one treatment and beat down too.
- The Bludgeon Brothers Arrive: Luke Harper and Erick Rowan returned with their new Bludgeon Brothers gimmick. Harper and Rowan make quick work of Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley and get the double team finisher for the win.
- AJ Styles Talks About WWE Survivor Series And Jinder Mahal: Styles says he did his best to defeat Brock Lesnar at WWE Survivor Series, but Lesnar is exactly the beast that he claims to be. Styles says you don't get trophies for second place and he'd love to battle Lesnar again one day. Styles switches gears and says he wants to talk about Jinder Mahal now. Styles dares Mahal to come down to the ring and try to take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship away from him like Mahal claimed he'd do. Mahal appears on the TitanTron and says he's too busy tonight. Mahal says if he would've fought Lesnar like originally planned than Mahal would be called The Beastmaster because he would've defeated Lesnar. Mahal announces that he's getting his rematch for the title at WWE Clash of Champions and will get back what's his. The Singh Brothers suddenly attack Styles from behind, but they both get laid out by Styles.
- Nattie Neidhart Gets Her Title Rematch. The third match of the night saw WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion Charlotte defend her title against former champion Nattie Neidhart. Nattie ends up getting attacked by Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, as they hit the ring and beat Nattie down. The trio go after Charlotte, who's able to fight them off. Charlotte finally falls victim to the three on one attack and gets beat down.
- Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn's Punishment: The main event of the show saw Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn forced into a three on two handicap match against Randy Orton and The New Day. The Smackdown Live roster was also at ringside serving as lumberjacks. A lumberjack brawl breaks out in the end and chaos errupts. In all the chaos Sami Zayn rolls up Xavier Woods and gets the pinfall. Owens escapes and leaves Zayn in the ring to take a triple team beat down from The New Day. Zayn gets hit with Trouble In Paradise and then The Midnight Hour. Meanwhile backstage, Owens runs into Daniel Bryan. Bryan says he was never going to fire Owens and Zayn, he unlike Shane McMahon recognizes Owens and Zayn's potential.
