Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 11/2/17: NXT Recap

NXT returned this week for more NXT action at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. This week, SAnitY put their NXT World Tag Team Championship on the line against the former champions The Authors of Pain. NXT World Champion Drew McIntyre meets Andrade "Cien" Almas face to face.

- Nikki Cross battled Taynara Conti.
- Johnny Gargano battled Fabian Aichner.
- NXT World Tag Team Champions SAnitY defended their tag team titles against The Authors of Pain.

- NXT World Champion Drew McIntyre meets Andrade "Cien" Almas face to face.

- Nikki Cross vs. Taynara Conti: The match closes out with Taynara unloading kicks on Nikki. Nikki catches Taynara, hangs her in a tree of woe and unloads. Nikki hits the swinging neck breaker on Taynara and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Nikki Cross, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Mercedez Martinez is interviewed. Mercedez is disappointed that she didn't win last week's battle royal and promises that Ember Moon won't win the NXT Women's Championship at NXT WarGames.

- Johnny Gargano vs. Fabian Aichner: The match closes out with Aichner hitting a tilt a whirl back breaker. Gargano lands an enziguri on Aichner in the corner. Gargano goes for the Gargano Escape submission, but Aichner counters into a rollup and scores the upset pinfall.
Winner: Fabian Aichner, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Drew McIntyre meets with NXT GM William Regal and already signs his contract to defend his title against Andrade "Cien" Almas at NXT WarGames.

- Drew McIntyre And Andrade "Cien" Almas' Face To Face: As Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring, Andrade "Cien" Almas attacks and beats down McIntyre. Almas grabs the contract and signs it, making the title match official for NXT WarGames.

- Backstage, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay mock Kairi Sane until she appears, stares down the two ladies and points her deadly elbow at them.

- "NXT World Tag Team Championship Match": SAnitY (c) vs. The Authors of Pain: The match closes out with Eric Young hitting the top rope elbow for a near fall. SAnitY with a suplex/neck breaker combo on AOP. AOP hit the Super Collider and then hit The Last Chapter. Undisputed Era hits the ring and attacks everyone, getting the match thrown out.
Winners: No Contest.

- After the match, Killian Dain hits the ring to help his SAnitY brothers. Dain gets attacked and beaten down by UE. Roderick Strong hits the ring, accepts the UE invite to join, but then turns on UE and super kicks Adam Cole. The Authors of Pain return and help Strong clear the ring. NXT GM William Regal arrives and officially announces the return of the double ring WarGames cage match at NXT WarGames. It'll be Undisputed Era vs. SAnitY vs. The Authors of Pain and Roderick Strong.
