Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 2/8/17: Smackdown Live Seattle Recap

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, brings you the Smackdown Live Recap for the week.

This week Smackdown Live was live in Seattle, Washington. Tonight's show served it's go home show to this Sunday night's Elimination Chamber Pay Per View. Daniel Bryan kicks off Smackdown Live in front of his home town. A Fatal Four Way Match between AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, The Miz and Baron Corbin took place. Nikki Bella and Nattie Neidhart hype their match at Elimination Chamber via satellite. Dolph Ziggler battled Apollo Crews in a one on one match. Naomi, WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, Mickie James and Becky Lynch all had their contract signings for WWE Elimination Chamber. WWE Smackdown Live World Tag Team Champions American Alpha, Breezango and Heath Slater and Rhyno battled The Usos, The Ascension and The Vaudevillains in a Twelve Man Tag Team Match. Main event time saw WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena battle Randy Orton.

** Smackdown Live **

- Daniel Bryan Promo: Bryan says that last time he was in Seattle he had to announce his retirement. Bryan says he's grateful though, grateful to be Smackdown Live's GM and grateful that he will be a dad soon. The Miz and Maryse suddenly interrupt and head to the ring. Miz mocks Bryan's retirement, suggests Bryan be a stay at home dad and mocks Bryan that he can't wrestle anymore. Bryan says not being able to wrestle never stopped Miz from getting in the ring. Miz gets angry cause Bryan shows no respect to Miz. The fans make Miz even angrier as they chant "YES" and for Bryan repeatedly. Baron Corbin interrupts next and heads to the ring. Corbin says Miz needs to learn to shut up. Miz says people listen when he talks and then offers an alliance with Corbin at Elimination Chamber. Corbin offers to just take Miz out now so he doesn't make it to Elimination Chamber and Miz demands Bryan to defend him as the GM. Bryan mocks Miz as Dean Ambrose arrives next. Ambrose mocks Miz and Corbin and says he's leaving Elimination Chamber the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Intercontinental Champion. AJ Styles interrupts next and says he's getting back his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Bryan separates all the bickering and announces a Fatal Four Way Match and that starts now.

- "Fatal Four Way Match": AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz: The match closes out with Styles countering Dirty Deeds and the Lunatic Lariat from Ambrose. Styles hits a moonsault into a reverse DDT on Ambrose, but Miz stops the pinfall. Styles counters the Skull Crushing Finale and drills Miz with the Phenomenal Forearm. Maryse pulls Miz outside as Corbin lays out Styles with End of Days and scores the upset pinfall.
Winner: Baron Corbin, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Luke Harper says Randy Orton stole his family and is a liar. Harper says the best way to get rid of a viper is to cut off its head. Harper promises to eliminate Orton at Elimination Chamber.

- Nikki Bella and Nattie Neidhart Interview Via Satellite: Nikki says the Nattie she loved is dead. Nattie says they were never friends, Nikki has no friends, just an army of followers to make her look good. Nikki says Nattie is becoming the crazy cat lady and is just bitter now. Nattie promises to put Nikki on the DL next to her pregnant sister and John Cena would probably be with Nattie if she wasn't already married. Nikki gets upset and storms off her interview set.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Apollo Crews: The match closes out with Ziggler going for the super kick. Crews grabs Ziggler with a surprise roll up and scores the pinfall. After the match, Ziggler attacks Crews and hits him with a steel chair. Kalisto hits the ring and brawls with Ziggler. Ziggler crotches Kalisto on the ropes and then smacks Kalisto with the steel chair. Ziggler hits Crews with the chair one more time and then leaves.
Winner: Apollo Crews, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Dolph Ziggler brags that he could beat Kalisto and Apollo Crews at the same time. Daniel Bryan makes that Handicap Match official for Elimination Chamber.

- Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James Contract Signing: Mickie brags that she has more experience than everyone in the ring, the women's division was built on Mickie's success and she's waited 7 years to return and take back the credit that should be hers. Mickie says that without her there never would've been a Becky Lynch. Mickie grabs the pen and happily signs the contract. Becky says no one is trying to erase what Mickie has done, she respected Mickie until she joined with Alexa Bliss, accuses Mickie of leaving the WWE when it got too tough and now what's her spot back. Becky tells Mickie to bring her 7 years of rage, she's bringing a lifetime of fire and smacking Mickie back to the past. Becky grabs the pen and signs the contract.
Alexa calls Becky low class, needs to respect Mickie and long as she's the women's champion she runs the division. Alexa grabs the pen and signs the contract. Alexa mocks Naomi and says she forgot Naomi was even there. Naomi says she hasn't forgotten the two times she's pinned Alexa, plans on winning the title and going to her hometown at Wrestlemania 33 as the champion. Naomi tells Alexa to get ready and then she signs the contract. Naomi tells Alexa to feel the glow and nails Alexa in the face causing a brawl to break out. Mickie and Alexa get sent to the floor where Naomi suicide dives onto them.

- "Twelve Man Tag Team Match": American Alpha, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. The Usos, The Ascension and The Vaudevillains: The match closes out with The Usos unloading on Breezango, but American Alpha send The Usos outside. Alpha hit suplexes on The Vaudevillains and then Gable suicide dives onto everyone. Viktor lands an uppercut as Rhyno measures for the Gore. Konnor tries to make the save, but eats the Gore instead. Viktor ends up catching Rhyno and scores the pinfall.
Winners: The Usos, The Ascension and The Vaudevillains, by pinfall.

- John Cena vs. Randy Orton: The match closes out with Orton hitting the RKO on Cena for a near fall. Cena counters a second RKO attempt and then Orton counters a AA attempt. Orton gets sent into the referee by accident and the referee goes down. Cena traps Orton in the STF submission and makes Orton tap out, but there's no referee to see it. Bray Wyatt hits the ring and unloads on Cena. Orton and Bray double team Cena and then Bray goes for Sister Abigail. Cena counters out and clotheslines Orton. Bray reapplies Sister Abigail and plants Cena with it. Luke Harper hits the ring and goes face to face with Bray Wyatt. Harper drills Bray with a lariat and dumps Bray outside. Harper counters the RKO, allowing Cena to step in and plant Orton with the AA. The referee finally comes to and Cena scores the pinfall.
Winner: John Cena, by pinfall.
