- New Champion Crowned: If you missed RAW last week, Sasha Banks again defeated Charlotte in a Falls Count Anywhere Match to become the new WWE RAW Women's Champion. This is now Sasha's third title reign.
- Brock Lesnar Entering The Royal Rumble: Last week on RAW, Paul Heyman officially announced that his client, Brock Lesnar, will be entering the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble with plans of getting revenge on Goldberg.
- Ric Flair Resigns With WWE: WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair agreed on a new contract with the WWE, according to PWInsider. Flair is scheduled to be a regular on the RAW brand after endorsing new RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks on this past week's show.
- Cesaro Unhappy On RAW: In what appears to be a never ending fight to get noticed in the WWE, even though he has an army of fans and is highly talented, Cesaro has let his voice be heard about his unhappiness on RAW. Cesaro tweeted about how upset he was for being left off the RAW promotional poster advertising his own home country of Switzerland last week. Smackdown Live GM Daniel Bryan responded by stating that Cesaro would be on every promotional poster if he was apart of Smackdown Live.
- New Signee: WWE has officially signed Mustafi Ali for 205 Live and for the RAW Cruiserweight Division, according to PWInsider. Ali has appeared at several WWE NXT events.
- Elimination Chamber Returns: The Talking Stick Resort in Phoenix, Arizona officially announced on their Facebook page that they will host WWE Elimination Chamber in 2o17. It's unknown as of yet when the event takes place and which brand will host it.
- WWE Women's Tournament News: According to Ringside News, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are close to officially announcing a WWE Women's Tournament, which will take place in 2o17 on the WWE Network. WWE is rumored to have reached out to Kimber Lee, Evie, Nixon Newell, Heidi Lovelace, Deonna Purrazzo, Rachel Ellering and former TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love to be apart of the tournament so far.
- John Cena On SNL: WWE Superstar John Cena will make his Saturday Night Live debut as host on Dec. 10 with musical guest Maren Morris. Cena has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including action flicks "The Marine" and "12 Rounds" as well as comedies "Trainwreck" and "Sisters."
** 205 Live Recap **
WWE debuted it's all new Cruiserweight Division show this passed Tuesday, called WWE 205 Live. The debut main event saw WWE Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick defend the title against #1 Contender Rich Swann. Austin Aries, who is currently out with an eye injury until 2017 joined the commentary table and helped do play by play during the whole show.
-- Backstage, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick says he'll capitalize on every mistake Rich Swann makes tonight and come out victorious. TJ Perkins appears and wishes Kendrick good luck, playing mind games with Kendrick.
-- Ariya Daivari vs. Jack Gallagher: The match closes out with Gallagher landing a series of hard kicks on Daivari, until Daivari finally takes down Gallagher. Gallagher lands two drop kicks, but eats a Daivari forearm. Gallagher lands a head butt and a charging drop kick on Daivari to score the pinfall. -- "WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match": Brian Kendrick (c) vs. Rich Swann: The match closes out with Kendrick countering a 450 and traps Swann in the Captain's Hook submission. Swann escapes, but gets dropped with a modified Sliced Bread #2 for a near fall for Kendrick. Swann lands three straight spinning kicks on Kendrick for the knockout. - NXT Takeover: San Antonio: WWE COO Triple H officially announced that NXT TakeOver: San Antonio, will take place the night before the WWE Royal Rumble at the Freeman Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 28.- NXT Takeover: San Antonio Rumored Main Event: As of this writing WWE has been rumored to be featuring Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Roode for the NXT World Championship at Takeover in January. Nothing has been officially announced as of yet and this is still only a possible rumor.
- NXT Enhancement Talent Injured: This past week at NXT TV tapings, NXT up and comer Johnny Vandal was involved in a squash match against The Authors of Pain. Fans in attendance stated that Vandal took a power bomb and landed wrong, forcing the referee to stop the match. Vandal was helped from the ring and carried backstage. It's unknown as of this writing as to what injury was actually sustained.
- New NXT Announcer: Former WWE NXT Superstar Percy Watson returned to NXT as an announcer full time last week. The NXT announce team will now consist of Tom Phillips, Corey Graves and Percy Watson.
*** TNA Impact Wrestling ***
- TNA Impact Recap: Tonight's main event saw Jade battle Rosemary in a Six Sides of Steel Match with the vacant TNA Knockouts Championship on the line.
-- In the parking lot, Jeff Hardy isn't sure of Matt Hardy's mental state, but he will be happy to see his brother tonight.
-- The DCC Promo: James Storm says The DCC represents all who have been trampled on and passed over and tonight The Hardy's will be erased. Jeff Hardy interrupts and says The DCC think they're a virus, but he will not allow them to spread within TNA. The Hardy's have survived The Final Deletion and The Great War and The DCC will be deleted. The DCC attack and beat down Jeff until the lights go out, pop back on and reveal the return of Broken Matt Hardy. The Hardy's clear the ring and Matt grabs the microphone. Matt says his memory has been restored, it's more vivid than ever, the tag titles belong to The Hardy's broken brilliance and The DCC will be deleted. -- "TNA X-Division Championship, Triple Threat Match": DJ Z (c) vs. Braxton Sutter vs. Mandrews: The match closes out with Sutter and Mandrews double teaming DJ Z, but DJ Z hits a double neck breaker on both men. Sutter counters the ZDT, hits The Flatliner on DJ Z and gets a near fall. Mandrews counters a Sutter suplex and nails a Stunner. Mandrews goes to the top rope and lands a perfect Shooting Star Press on Sutter. DJ Z sneaks in from behind, rolls up Mandrews and scores the pinfall to retain the title. After the match, Mandrews turns on DJ Z and kicks him in his bad knee that he injured in the match. Mandrews says he should have won and he's sick of Sutter and DJ Z stealing his spotlight.-- Backstage, Laurel Van Ness teases Allie and says that she's going to go cheer up Braxton Sutter for not winning. Laurel says that Allie will never have a man like Sutter and after tonight she won't have a job either.
-- Maria Bennett and Laurel Van Ness Promo: Maria calls herself charitable, has given so much, some don't appreciate it and then calls out Allie. Allie appears and begs Maria for forgiveness. Maria says that she knows the pie she was hit with was meant for Laurel, Allie is jealous of Laurel and Braxton Sutter, blames Allie for Maria losing the TNA Knockouts Championship and calls Allie the worst personal assistant ever. Laurel grabs the microphone and teases Allie about everything Laurel and Sutter did on their date last night, getting Allie fired up. Maria calms everyone down, calls Allie a stupid bitch and then slaps Allie. Laurel attacks Allie, beats her down and leaves Allie laid out.
-- "TNA World Tag Team Championship Match": The Hardy's (c) vs. The DCC: The match closes out with James Storm getting on the apron, but gets sent flying off by The Hardy's. Matt gets a near fall Side Effect on Eddie Kingston. Jeff sends Bram outside and nails Storm too while out there. Jeff and Matt both hit Twist of Fates on Kingston, score the pinfall and retain the tag titles.
-- Backstage, Ethan Carter teases Eli Drake about Drake not being allowed to talk anymore. EC3 says he's challenging Eddie Edwards next week for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and after he wins it, if Drake wants a title shot all he has to do is speak up and ask.
-- Backstage, Al Snow and Mahabali Shera reveal the marks on their back from getting whipped with belts by The Tribunal last week. Snow challenges The Tribunal to an Indian Strap Match and states that he brought them to TNA and now he's taking them out.
-- Ethan Carter Promo: EC3 calls out TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards to give him a message. Edwards arrives and goes face to face with EC3. EC3 calls Edwards a tremendous champion and gives him credit for beating Bobby Lashley. Edwards says that he respects EC3 and becoming champion has made him a changed man. EC3 says he also respects Edwards, but that won't stop EC3 from beating Edwards and winning the title. Edwards says being champion is all that matters and he wants EC3 to bring his A game. EC3 lays down a warning that he won't be afraid to stab Edwards in the back if it guarantees EC3 a title victory.
-- TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim arrives and officially vacates the title so the winner of tonight's Six Sides of Steel Match can be crowned the new champion.
-- "TNA Knockouts Championship, Six Sides of Steel Match": Jade vs. Rosemary: The match closes out with Jade landing a hurracanrana on Rosemary, traps her in a choke hold and then rams Rosemary into the steel cage wall. Rosemary escapes a pinfall attempt and hits a german suplex on Jade. Rosemary and Jade both go for the steel cage wall and both begin climbing it. Jade sends Rosemary falling off, but Jade continues to climb all the way to the top. Jade measures up from above, leaps off the top of the steel cage and nails the crossbody on Rosemary below. Jade goes to the top rope and measures Rosemary for a 450 splash. Rosemary gets to her feet and spits red mist in Jade's face. Rosemary hits Red Wedding on a blinded Jade, covers and scores the pinfall, winning the title. The show closes with Rosemary celebrating and Gail Kim watching, looking disappointed. - Billy Corgan Lawsuit Wrapping Up: Several weeks ago, a settlement between Billy Corgan and TNA had been reached, however, the case remained active in the Chancery Court of Nashville, TN. According to PWInsider.com, both sides of the lawsuit came to a settlement agreement in principal several weeks ago, however getting the agreement officially signed has taken some time, and the final paperwork has just now reportedly been signed. This means the suit should officially be settled sometime this week or by the end of next week at the latest. PWInsider also noted that after the settlement is complete, Billy Corgan officially will be gone from TNA, and Anthem Media should then announce that they have purchased majority shares of Impact Ventures. During the course of the Corgan vs TNA lawsuit, documents uncovered revealed the initial plan was to see Anthem own 85% of TNA, Aeroluxe own 10% and Dixie Carter own 5%. This would mean that Carter would benefit financially from any profit TNA makes, but she would no longer be in power from a decision making standpoint.
*** Ring of Honor ***
- ROH TV Recap: This week's show was the final build up to Friday nights ROH Final Battle pay per view. The Briscoes battled The Addiction in the main event.
-- Lio Rush vs. Jonathon Gresham: Alex Shelley was on commentary for this match. The match closes out with Gresham hitting a brainbuster on Rush and getting a near fall. Gresham attempts another brainbuster, but Rush counters into one of his own. Gresham goes for a german suplex, but Rush lands on his feet. Rush drops Gresham with Rush Hour twice, goes to the top rope and hits an elbow/frog splash combo for the pinfall. After the match, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin meet with Rush and Gresham inside the ring and compliment both men on their performance.
-- Kyle O'Reilly Promo: O'Reilly talks about he and ROH World Champion Adam Cole once being good friends and teaming together as Future Shock. O'Reilly says Cole's false bravado and confidence is what made him turn on O'Reilly, injure him and join The Bullet Club. O'Reilly says he has Cole to thank for the violent man he's become now and he will take Cole's title at ROH Final Battle.
-- The Briscoe Brothers vs. The Addiction: The match closes out with all four men brawling. The Briscoes attempt the Doomsday Device on Kazarian, but Kaz catches Jay in mid air and counters into a power slam on the way down. The Briscoes regain control and Jay plants Daniels with the Jay Driller. Mark hits the Froggie Bow on Daniels and scores the pinfall. After the match, all four men show respect, follow the Code of Honor and shake hands with each other.
-- Story time with ROH World Champion Adam Cole closes out this weeks ROH show.
- ROH Release: ROH Woman of Honor Veda Scott posted on Twitter that she officially asked for her release from ROH and was granted it.
** ROH Final Battle Recap **Final Battle took place at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, this past Friday night.
-- "Six Man Tag Team Match": The Rebellion (Caprice Coleman, Kenny King and Rhett Titus) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) and Donovan Dijak: The match closes out with all six men brawling. Dijak missed a moonsault attempt outside the ring, landed on his feet, but eats a drop kick from Rhett. Coleman charges and drills a basement drop kick on Dijak. In the ring, Sabin and Shelley set King up for Skull and Bones. Coleman breaks up the attempt and takes out Sabin with the Sky Splitter leg drop. Shelley gets taken out, as Rhett climbs the ropes and hits Sabin with the Big Dawg frog splash to score the pinfall.
-- "The Last Real Man" Silas Young vs. Jushin Thunder Liger: The match closes out with Silas countering the Liger Bomb and Liger countering Misery. Silas grabs The Beer City Bruiser's beer at ringside and throws it in Liger's face. Silas goes for a suplex, but Liger counters it into a brainbuster. Liger and Silas battle up to the top rope and trade shots. Liger knocks Silas off, but The Bruiser jumps on the apron and runs toward Liger. Liger sends Bruiser flying off the apron and then leaps at Silas. Silas counters the aerial move by getting his knees up on Liger. Silas hits Misery on Liger and scores the pinfall on the Japanese legend.
-- Colt Cabana vs. Dalton Castle: The match closes out with Cabana locking Castle in The Cubs Win submission, but Castle barely reaches the rope break. Out to the floor, Castle hits a spinning hurracanrana on Cabana and gets back in the ring. Both men trade counters and near falls, until both end up on the top rope trading punches. Cabana goes for the Chicago Skyline, but Castle counters out and goes for the Bang A Rang. Cabana counters it and gets a near fall roll up. Castle catches Cabana out of nowhere on the second Bang A Rang attempt and scores the pinfall.
- The Addiction Promo: Right after Jay Lethal and Cody Rhodes are introduced for their match, The Addiction arrive and decide to cut a promo first. Daniels talks about Cody debuting and Lethal being a former great ROH World Champion. Daniels says Dusty Rhodes inspired him in wrestling and wrestling needs guys like Cody. Daniels says Cody needs to prove that he belongs in ROH, tell both Cody and Lethal to tear it up in this match and that they'll be watching on commentary.
- Jay Lethal vs. Cody Rhodes: The match closes out with Cody missing a moonsault and Lethal hitting a cutter. Lethal flies and nails the Hail to the King elbow drop. After landing the elbow, Cody hooks Lethal and gets a near fall crucifix rollup. Lethal connects with two thrust kicks and goes for the Lethal Injection. Lethal accidentally bumps into the referee and Cody hits a low blow on Lethal. Cody drops Lethal with Cross Rhodes and steals the pinfall. After the match, Cody laughs at the fans for booing him for cheating. Cody mocks the Code of Honor tradition and mocks shaking Lethal's hand. Cody flips Lethal the bird and attacks Lethal with stomps. The Addiction hit the ring and chase off Cody. Cody mocks the fans, flips over the time keepers table, shoves the referee, then tosses a drink at the referee. Cody shoves ROH commentator Steve Corino and then runs backstage as Corino goes after him.
-- "ROH Six Man Tag Team Championship Match": Lio Rush, Jay White and KUSHIDA vs. The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinnie Marseglia and TK O'Ryan): The match closes out with Taven getting drop kicked repeatedly and then laid out with a brain buster. Marseglia purposes splashes the referee to stop the pinfall attempt on Taven. KUSHIDA stops O'Ryan from using Taven's cane as a weapon. O'Ryan ends up with the cane and smacks Rush in the back with it as Taven tossed Rush towards him. The Kingdom hit a triple team powerbomb on Rush and score the pinfall, to become the first ever ROH Six Man Tag Team Champions.
-- "ROH Television Championship, Triple Threat Match": Marty Scurll (c) vs. Will Ospreay vs. Dragon Lee: The match was originally a Fatal Four Way Match, but due to injury Bobby Fish was taken out. The match closes out with Ospreay hitting a springboard pele kick on Lee and Scurll both, then goes for a 450 splash. Lee gets his knees up and then gets a near fall bridged suplex on Ospreay. Scurll grabs Lee's hand, snaps his fingers and goes for the crossface chicken wing submission. Lee counters out with a near fall cradle. Ospreay connects with a twisting spin kick on Lee then hits a leaping cutter. Scurll tosses Ospreay outside then locks in the crossface chicken wing submission on Lee. Lee taps out and Scurll retains the title.
-- "ROH World Tag Team Championship Match": The Young Bucks (c) vs. The Briscoe Brothers: The match closes out with all four men brawling. The Bucks hit the Meltzer Driver on Mark and get a near fall. The Bucks drop both Mark and Jay down to their knees and then deliver a series of super kicks on the Briscoes. The Briscoes get fired up while taking the kicks and beg for more. The Bucks eventually over power The Briscoes with the super kicks and finally lay them out, score the pinfall and retain the titles. After the match, the lights go out in the arena. Broken Matt Hardy suddenly appears on the ROH big screen to a huge pop from the ROH fans. Matt says that he and Brother Nero are coming to ROH to prove to the spot monkey Bucks that the Hardy's are the greatest tag team in the galaxy. The spot monkey Bucks and the redneck Briscoes will be deleted and become obsolete. Matt and the fans all chant "delete".
-- "ROH World Heavyweight Championship, Battle Without Honor No DQ Match": Adam Cole (c) vs. Kyle O'Reilly: The match closes out with O'Reilly countering an attempted Cole superplex, hits one of his own, puts Cole through a table in the ring and gets a near fall. Cole and O'Reilly brawl onto the apron and land low blows on each other. O'Reilly locks in a guillotine choke submission on Cole, but both men fall backwards off the apron and fall through a table on the floor. Cole rises from the floor and is a busted open bloody mess. O'Reilly grabs a steel chain and goes after Cole in the ring. Cole hits The Last Shot on O'Reilly and gets a near fall. Cole grabs a bag of thumb tacks and dumps them all over in the ring. Cole tries to suplex O'Reilly onto the thumb tacks, but O'Reilly counters and reapplies the guillotine choke hold submission on Cole. O'Reilly changes up and applies a triangle choke submission on Cole. Cole lifts O'Reilly up and power bombs him onto the thumb tacks and gets a near fall. Cole goes for The Last Shot, but O'Reilly counters and plants Cole with a brain buster right on the thumb tacks. O'Reilly traps Cole in an arm bar submission while laying on top of the thumb tacks. Cole taps out and O'Reilly is the new ROH World Heavyweight Champion to end the show.
*** Lucha Underground ***
- Lucha Underground TV Recap: Pentagon Dark does battle with The Black Lotus Triad on this week's show, in a Gauntlet Match.
-- Backstage, Vampiro confronts Pentagon Dark. Vampiro says that Pentagon must pay for his past sins and Vampiro hasn't forgotten what Pentagon has done to him. Pentagon Dark gives Vampiro the "Cero Miedo" symbol and walks away.
-- Pentagon Dark vs. Doku: The match closes out with Doku unloading a spear on Pentagon and then she goes to the top rope. Doku goes for a flying elbow and connects. Doku goes to the top rope again, attempts a second flying elbow, but gets caught by Pentagon this time and trapped in the armbreaker submission. Pentagon snaps Doku's arm and the referee stops the match.-- Backstage, Jeremiah is confronted by Catrina. Catrina says it's a shame about what happened to his girlfriend, Ivelisse. Jeremiah thinks it's funny that Ivelisse was injured right after challenging Catrina to a match. Catrina starts to come on to Jeremiah, states that she brought Jeremiah to The Temple, Jeremiah is in love with Catrina and proves it by wearing her stone around his neck. Catrina ends up giving Jeremiah the "Lick of Death".
-- Pentagon Dark vs. Yurei: Before the match, Pentagon says he doesn't care how many members of The Black Lotus Triad there are because he's breaking everyone's arm. The match closes out with Yurei landing a hurracanrana on Pentagon and then goes to the top rope. Yurei hits a double foot stomp and gets a near fall. Yurei spikes Pentagon into the mat with the around the world DDT and then leaps onto Pentagon. Pentagon grabs ahold of Yurei and hits a package piledriver. Pentagon applies the armbreaker submission, snaps Yurei's arm and the referee again stops the match. -- Backstage, Dario Cueto confronts his brother Matanza, who's locked in his cell. Dario offers Matanza his rematch for the Lucha Underground Championship next week. Matanza says no and then yells "Mysterio". The camera then shows Mysterio's question mark symbol marked in blood inside Matanza's cell.-- Pentagon Dark vs. Hitokiri: The match closes out with Pentagon grabbing a steel chair and unloading repeated shots on Hitokiri. Pentagon tosses Hitokiri into a row of chairs outside and then plants Hitokiri with a Death Valley Driver right on the floor. Hitokiri fights back, drop toe holds Pentagon into a steel chair and then suicide dives onto Pentagon right off the roof of Dario Cueto's office. Back in the ring, Pentagon attempts the package piledriver, but Hitokiri counters, hits a Destroyer Bomb and scores the pinfall.
-- Pentagon Dark vs. Black Lotus: Black Lotus arrives for her match next. Hitokiri and both broken armed members Doku and Yurei are at ringside to watch the final match. Pentagon is still knocked out from the Destroyer Bomb, but Black Lotus seizes her opportunity. Black Lotus knocks out the referee, grabs Pentagon's arm and snaps it. Dragon Azteca arrives and enters the ring. Dragon Azteca and Black Lotus have a stare down before The Black Lotus Triad all leave the ring. Azteca grabs Pentagon Dark's other arm and proceeds to snap that one too. Vampiro is shown on commentary smiling at the now broken Pentagon Dark. -- Somewhere at an unknown location, Prince Puma is shown waking up inside a casket. Vampiro appears in full face paint and tells Puma to "Come With Me" to end the show.*** Global Force Wrestling ***
- New Champion Crowned: Last Friday at the WrestleCade Showcase of Champions show in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Cody Rhodes claimed his first independent wrestling singles title since leaving the WWE. Rhodes defeated Sonjay Dutt to capture the GFW NEX*GEN Championship. Rhodes ended Dutt's year long reign with the championship.*** House Of Hardcore ***
- HOH Blizzard Brawl: Tommy Dreamer announced the next edition of House of Hardcore will take place on December 3rd. The main event will feature Al Snow and Dave Herro battling Abyss and Dameon Nelson in a Steel Cage Match. The show will also feature Bob "Hardcore" Holly, Sami Callihan, Ryback, Tommy Dreamer, Colt Cabana, Mickie James and many more. I'll be sure to have your recap of the show on the next W3C.
