Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 4/11/17: RAW Long Island Recap

Day one of Draft Day is upon us ladies and gents! No it's not the NFL Draft, it's the "Superstar Shakeup" WWE Draft! This week RAW was live in Long Island, New York and rumors have been circulating that they'll be some big names leaving Smackdown Live and coming over to RAW. Both RAW and Smackdown Live rosters were in the building tonight for the WWE Draft.

- The New Day battled The Revival.
- Austin Aries battled TJ Perkins.
- Charlotte battled Nia Jax.
- Finn Balor battled Jinder Mahal.
- Sami Zayn battled The Miz.
- Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Epico and Primo battled WWE RAW World Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boys, Sheamus and Cesaro in an Eight Man Tag Team Match.
- WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens battled WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose in a non title match.

- Promos from: The Miz and Maryse, Curt Hawkins, Seth Rollins, Sasha Banks and WWE RAW Women's Champion Bayley.

- Michael Cole has a sit down interview with Roman Reigns.

- Day One of the "Superstar Shakup" WWE Draft took place.

** RAW **

- Earlier in the day it was announced that Apollo Crews had been drafted to RAW.

- The Miz and Maryse Promo: RAW kicks off with John Cena's music hitting....but....out comes Smackdown Live's The Miz and Maryse dressed as John Cena and Nikki Bella. Miz and Maryse are both announced as newly drafted RAW superstars. Miz and Maryse begin mocking the John Cena and Nikki Bella engagement that took place at Wrestlemania 33. Miz says the last time he seen the two of them they were headed to Hollywood, but news flash, Hollywood doesn't want them. Smackdown Live's Dean Ambrose suddenly interrupts and is introduced as a newly drafted RAW superstar. Ambrose plays along with Miz and Maryse, talks to them like they're really Cena and Nikki and mocks Miz and Maryse. Before Miz can stand up for the two of them, Ambrose lays Miz out with Dirty Deeds.


- Backstage, Kurt Angle is on the phone when Sami Zayn interrupts. Sami says many have said he should go to Smackdown Live. Angle says "It's True" Smackdown Live is very interested in Zayn for their show. Before Zayn can find out more answers from Angle, The Miz and Maryse interrupt. Miz is angry at what just happened and has words with Zayn. Angle books the two of them in a one on one match tonight.

- The New Day vs. The Revival: The match closes out with Woods hitting a top rope elbow drop on Dawson for a near fall. Woods sends Wilder to the floor and elbows Dawson. Woods and Big E go for Midnight Hour on Dawson, but Wilder saves the day. Big E gets shoved into the corner and Woods gets destroyed with the Shatter Machine giving The Revival the pinfall victory.
Winners: The Revival, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Neville states that Austin Aries doesn't deserve a rematch for his title when TJ Perkins interrupts. Perkins challenges Neville, but Neville says Perkins doesn't deserve a match either. Neville says Perkins is overlooked and is nothing but a joke now, but Neville respects him. Aries interrupts next and says that Neville is lying through his teeth and asks Perkins if he's buying this garbage. Perkins says nothing and walks off.

- Curt Hawkins Promo: Smackdown Live's Curt Hawkins is in the ring and he officially announces that he's back on RAW. Hawkins says we all need to face the facts, he's back on RAW and he wants to celebrate. Hawkins demands a welcome wagon for his return and out comes the Big Show. Show gets in Hawkins' face and then lays Hawkins out with the Knockout Punch.

- Austin Aries vs. TJ Perkins: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville was on commentary. The match closes out with Aries taking out Perkins on the floor and then taunts Neville. Neville gets up and Aries dares him to come to the ring. Aries gets back in the ring still eyeing Neville when Perkins gets the surprise rollup pinfall out of nowhere on Aries. After the match, Aries is shocked at what just happened and again dares Neville to come to the ring. Perkins suddenly attacks Aries from behind and lays Aries out with the Detonation Kick. Perkins stares down both Neville and Aries as he leaves the ring.
Winner: TJ Perkins, by pinfall.

- Seth Rollins Promo: Rollins talks about Wrestlemania 33, beating Triple H and thanking the fans for having his back. Rollins says he has unfinished business with Samoa Joe and with getting the WWE Universal Championship. Rollins jokes that he'll never be employee of the month and Stephanie McMahon will be reminded of going through a table and Triple H losing every time she sees Rollins. Rollins says that if Stephanie thinks that she's sending him to Smackdown Live then she better have an army because he's not leaving RAW. Kurt Angle interrupts Rollins and says that "It's True" Stephanie wants Rollins gone. Angle says he's not here to play politics, he's here to put on a great show and he can't do it without Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Angle and Rollins shake hands before Angle leaves. Samoa Joe suddenly attacks and beats down Rollins. Rollins fights back and delivers a super kick to Joe. Joe escapes as Angle returns and holds Rollins back.


- Backstage, Kevin Owens says that it doesn't matter how the Shakeup will affect him tonight and maybe we should go ask Chris Jericho how it'll affect him. Owens says he's the WWE United States Champion which makes him #1 in America. Owens then says that the newest RAW draft choice Dean Ambrose better remember his place because the United States Champion is far more superior than the Intercontinental Champion.

- Charlotte vs. Nia Jax: The match closes out with Charlotte getting a near fall on Nia with Natural Selection. The battle goes outside where Charlotte sends Nia into the ring post and then hits a moonsault off the top rope onto Nia, sending her into the barricade. Back in the ring, Charlotte goes for the Figure Four leglock submission, but Nia counters and sends Charlotte into the corner. Nia hits a corner splash on Charlotte and then the Samoan Drop to score the pinfall.
Winner: Nia Jax, by pinfall.

- Finn Balor vs. Jinder Mahal: The match closes out with Mahal landing a forearm, but Balor comes back with a overhead kick on Mahal. Balor connects with Sling Blade and then drop kicks Mahal into the corner. Balor hits Coup de Grace off the top rope on Mahal and scores the pinfall. After the match, the lights go out and Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron. Bray says that he's been drafted to RAW and tells Balor to watch himself because Bray will be watching.
Winner: Finn Balor, by pinfall.

- Sami Zayn vs. The Miz: The match closes out with Zayn getting a near fall Blue Thunder Bomb. Zayn goes for the Helluva Kick, but Miz gets pulled outside by Maryse. Zayn chases Miz back into the ring, but gets grabbed by Maryse. Miz goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Zayn counters and scores the rollup pinfall.
Winner: Sami Zayn, by pinfall.

- Sitdown Interview With Roman Reigns: Reigns tells Michael Cole about how he beat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 33 and the ring being his yard now. Braun Strowman suddenly interrupts and attacks Reigns. Strowman beats down Reigns and chases away officials trying to stop him. Strowman slams Reigns on a production case and then shoves another case into Reigns squashing Reigns into the wall. Strowman finally leaves as paramedics assist Reigns. Reigns gets loaded onto a stretcher when Strowman suddenly returns and shoves Reigns off the loading dock. Strowman again returns as Reigns is loaded into an ambulance and beats on Reigns inside the ambulance. Strowman tips the ambulance over with Reigns inside and finally ends the assault.

- "Eight Man Tag Team Match": Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Primo and Epico vs. Cesaro, Sheamus, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy: The match closes out with Matt tagging in to "Delete" chants. Matt unloads on Epico and then hits the Side Effect on Primo. Jeff sends Epico outside and then hits Poetry In Motion on Gallows, Anderson and Epico. Matt hits the Twist of Fate on Primo and then Jeff with the Swanton Bomb for the pinfall.
Winners: The Hardy Boys, Sheamus and Cesaro, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Emma takes credit for Dana Brooke being on RAW. Emma says she's here to pick up the pieces after Charlotte dumped Dana. Dana says that while Emma was having her identity crisis Dana's improved. Dana says that as of now she's on her own and needs no one's help. 

- Sasha Banks and Bayley Promo: Sasha Banks is out first, says she has unfinished business and introduces Bayley. Bayley thanks Sasha and the fans for helping her get her Wrestlemania moment. Sasha congratulates Bayley, but says that it's now time to get down to business. Before Sasha can challenge Bayley, Smackdown Live's Alexa Bliss interrupts and announces that she's now on RAW. Alexa says she's the only one here that deserves recognition and she's here to win and dominate. Smackdown Live's Mickie James suddenly interrupts and announces that she's now on RAW. Mickie cuts a promo, but gets jumped from behind by Nia Jax. Alexa shoves Sasha into Nia, forcing Nia to dump Sasha to the floor. Nia hits the Samoan Drop on Bayley as all the other ladies run. Nia holds Bayley's title and says that it belongs to her. Nia then stares down Alexa before leaving.


- Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose: The match closes out with Ambrose flying and hitting an elbow on Owens outside. Back in the ring, Ambrose flies off the top rope again, but catches a boot to the gut by Owens. Owens with a near fall sit down power bomb. Ambrose counters the Pop Up Power Bomb and Owens counters Dirty Deeds. Owens counters a clothesline and plants a super kick on Ambrose. Ambrose and Owens trade more offense until Ambrose finally hits Dirty Deeds to score the pinfall. After the match, Chris Jericho hits the ring and lays out Owens with a Code Breaker to end the show.
Winner: Dean Ambrose, by pinfall.

Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 4/4/17: RAW Orlando Recap

Wrestlemania has come and gone, but have no fear as we are only 364 more days away from Wrestlemania 34!! Ok I'm getting a little ahead of myself there, let's take it one day at a time shall we? Let's kick this off with the post Wrestlemania edition of Monday Night RAW! RAW was live this week in Orlando, Florida, what surprises did WWE bring us on what is usually one of the best RAW's of the year, with a fired up rowdy crowd?

** This Weeks Card **

- The Hardy Boys defended their WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville battled Mustafa Ali in a non title match.
- The New Day battled the roster debuting The Revival from NXT.
- WWE RAW Women's Champion Bayley, Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke battled Charlotte, Nia Jax and the returning Emma in a Six Woman Tag Team Match.
- Enzo and Big Cass battled Sheamus and Cesaro in a #1 Contenders Match.
- Sami Zayn battled Jinder Mahal.
- Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe battled Seth Rollins and a mystery partner.

- Promos from: Roman Reigns, Vince McMahon and WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman

- A New RAW General Manager was announced!

** RAW **


- Roman Reigns Promo: Roman Reigns is in the ring and is immediately bombarded with "You Suck", "Delete", "F*** You Roman", "Asshole", "Roman Sucks", "Go Away" and "Shut The F*** Up" chants. Reigns smirks and simply says "This is my yard now". Reigns drops the microphone and walks off.

- "WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship Match": The Hardy Boys (c) vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson: The match closes out with Jeff getting crotched on the ropes by Gallows. The Club boot Jeff and go for the Magic Killer. Matt makes the save and Jeff hits Twist of Fate on Anderson. Matt tags in and hits Twist of Fate on Gallows. Jeff hits the Swanton Bomb on Gallows and Matt scores the pinfall. A lot of "Delete" chants and "F*** That Owl" chants directed at Impact Wrestling.
Winners: The Hardy Boys, by pinfall to retain the WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship.

- Neville vs. Mustafa Ali: Before the match, Neville brags about his win over Austin Aries. The match closes out with Ali missing the inverted 450 Splash and crashing on the mat. Neville goes for the Red Arrow, but refuses to do it after the fans go crazy wanting to see him do it. Neville instead applies the Rings of Saturn submission and makes Ali tap out.
Winner: Neville, by submission.

- Backstage, a limousine pulls into the parking lot and out steps Vince McMahon.

- Vince McMahon Promo: Vince thanks the fans for being the great fans that they are and helped make Wrestlemania 33 the Ultimate Thrill Ride. Vince announces a Superstar Shakeup draft next Monday. Vince also announces that Stephanie McMahon going through the table last night has put her out of action for awhile. The fans chant "Yes" and "Delete" pissing Vince off. Vince announces that the new General Manager is a member of the Hall of Fame Class of 2017. Teddy Long immediately interrupts, dancing, and thinking it's him. Vince tells Teddy it's not him. Teddy says "My bad, holla holla holla". Vince announces Kurt Angle as the new RAW GM. Angle gets a "Welcome Back" chant and he says it's good to be home on RAW.

- The New Day vs. The Revival: The New Day state that they had fun hosting Wrestlemania 33, issue an open challenge and it's answered by NXT's The Revival. The match closes out with Big E getting sent to the floor, but Woods is able to fight off Dawson and Wilder. Woods and Dawson trade shots and then Woods drops Dawson with a boot. The Revival hit the Shatter Machine on Woods and score the pinfall. After the match, The Revival attack Kofi and destroy Kofi's ankle, leaving Kofi in pain.
Winners: The Revival, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Enzo and Big Cass ask Kurt Angle how The Hardy's got title shots. Angle announces Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Enzo and Big Cass with the winner becoming the #1 Contenders.

- "Six Woman Tag Team Match": Bayley, Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke vs. Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax and Emma: The match closes out with Dana and Sasha double drop kicking Nia to the floor. Bayley hits a crossbody on Nia as Charlotte and Sasha brawl. Charlotte goes for Natural Selection, but Sasha counters it into the Banks Statement submission for the tap out win. After the match, Charlotte shoves Emma. Nia splashes Charlotte in the corner and then drops an elbow on her. 
Winners: Bayley, Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke, by submission.

- Backstage, Sami Zayn hopes to develop a great relationship with Kurt Angle and hopes to not be drafted to Smackdown Live. Jinder Mahal interrupts and says he was robbed last night by Gronk of the New England Patriots. Sami and Mahal argue so Angle puts them in a match.

- Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman Promo: Heyman tells us all a bedtime story that Lesnar tells his kids before they go to sleep. The story talks about Goldberg going to Suplex City and taking an ass kicking. And The ending is a happy one as no one hears from Goldberg again. Heyman says Lesnar now needs a new opponent and the fans begin a "We Want Balor" chant. Heyman offers the opportunity to Roman Reigns to see who's yard the ring really belongs to. Braun Strowman interrupts and heads to the ring. Strowman says that he's not done with Reigns yet, but when he is maybe Lesnar will be next. Lesnar laughs as he stares down Strowman. Strowman eventually backs down and leaves the ring, as the fans chant "Bull****".

- Backstage, Chris Jericho talks about facing Kevin Owens at WWE Payback. Owens and Samoa Joe suddenly attack Jericho from behind and leave Jericho laid out.

- Backstage, Kurt Angle tells Seth Rollins that Chris Jericho is not going to be cleared to tag with Rollins tonight, but he'll find Rollins a partner.

- "#1 Contenders Match": Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass: The match closes out with Cass hitting a sidewalk slam, the Empire Elbow and a big boot on Cesaro. Enzo and Cass go for the Rocket Launcher, but Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick on Cass. Sheamus shoves Enzo into Cesaro who destroys Enzo with an uppercut for the pinfall.
Winners: Sheamus and Cesaro, by pinfall, to become the new #1 Contenders.

- Jinder Mahal vs. Sami Zayn: The match closes out with Mahal in control of Zayn and then connects with a knee. Zayn counters a Mahal punch and hits the Exploder Suplex into the corner on Mahal. Zayn charges and hits the Helluva Kick for the pinfall.
Winner: Sami Zayn, by pinfall.

- Seth Rollins and ???? vs. Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens: Kurt Angle chooses the returning Finn Balor as Rollins' partner. The match closes out with Balor unloading on Owens with chops, but Owens blocks a chop and lands an elbow. Balor goes to the top rope and kicks Joe when he tries to stop Balor. Owens dodges the double foot stomp and gets a near fall slam. Balor counters the Pop Up Power Bomb and hits Slingblade on Owens. Rollins unloads on Joe as Balor ends up hitting the double foot stomp on Owens for the pinfall.
Winners: Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, by pinfall.

NXT Takeover: Orlando #NXTTakeOverOrlando #NXTOrlando

Twas the night before Wrestlemania 33 and what a GLORIOUS night it was! NXT Takeover: Orlando was live at the Amway Center, in Orlando, Florida! NXT World Champion "The Glorious One" Bobby Roode defended his title against former 2 time NXT World Champion, the King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura. NXT Women's Champion Asuka, who one year ago tonight won the title, defended against Ember Moon. NXT World Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain defended their titles against The Revival and #DIY in a Triple Threat Elimination Match. Aleister Black made his NXT debut as he battled Andrade "Cien" Almas in a one on one match. Eric Young, Alexader Wolfe, Killian Dain and Nikki Cross aka SAnitY battled "The Perfect Ten" Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, No Way Jose and Ruby Riot in an Eight Person Tag Team Match.

** NXT Takeover: Orlando **

- Triple H is in the ring under a spotlight to kick off the show. Triple H says that tonight is our night, we make history, we show the world why we're NXT and tonight we are home!

- It was announced on the Takeover: Orlando Pre-Show that No Way Jose was viciously attacked earlier in the day by Eric Young at the Wrestlemania Axxess event and has not been cleared to wrestle tonight. William Regal gives Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong and Ruby Riot the chance to find a new partner for their Eight Person Tag Team Match tonight.

- "Eight Person Tag Team Match": SAnitY vs. Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, Ruby Riot and ????: Kassius Ohno is chosen as the mystery partner at the very last minute. The match closes out with Dillinger making the hot tag and unloads on everyone. Dillinger with a big DDT on Wolfe, hits a crossbody on Wolfe off the top rope and then suicide dives outside, taking out Eric Young. Dain attacks Dillinger, Strong makes the save, but Strong gets attacked by Wolfe. Ohno takes out Wolfe on the floor, but Ohno gets dropped by Dain on the floor. Ruby tries a suicide dive, but gets stopped by Nikki, so Ruby unloads on Nikki instead and both fall outside.
Dillinger corner mounts Young, unloads ten punches, drops Young and then super kicks Dain for a near fall. Ohno hits an elbow on Wolfe, but gets attacked by Young. Strong gets involved and plants a kick on Young, knocking Young out. Nikki jumps onto Strong's back as Ruby jumps on Dain's back. Nikki goes after Ruby, but gets tossed outside. Nikki hits a dropkick on Ruby, as Ruby followed Nikki outside. Dain stops Dillinger from hitting the Tye Breaker on Wolfe, drills Dillinger into the mat and scores the pinfall.
Winners: SAnitY, by pinfall.

- Aleister Black vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas: The match closes out with Almas in control of Black, taking him to the corner and unloading. Almas goes for a charge, but Black moves, Almas hits the turnbuckle and Black gets a near fall. Almas and Black trade shots back and forth and then they plant kicks on each other at the same time, dropping both men to the mat. Both men are up, trade offense until Almas plants a kick right to the back of Black's neck. Almas tosses Black into the corner, charges and hits double knees on Black. Black counters a DDT, but Almas counters back with a snapping german suplex for a near fall. Black is up, connects with jumping knees on Almas and then drills Almas with a boot. Almas and Black trade more offense until Black puts Almas down face first to the mat. Black hits a spinning kick to the face of Almas and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Aleister Black, by pinfall.

- "NXT World Tag Team Championship, Triple Threat Elimination Match": Authors of Pain (c) vs. The Revival vs. #DIY:

** First Elimination: The Revival hit the ring and double team Rezar. Gargano and Ciampa hit the ring next and join in on the 4 on 2 beat down on the AOP. The Revival and #DIY start trading blows back and forth now. Gargano and Wilder stop swinging on each other and both suicide dive onto Akam and Rezar outside. Wilder goes to the top rope and super plexes Gargano all the way out to the floor and on top of everyone, taking all six men out. Dawson tosses Ciampa into the ring, but Rezar comes in and decks Dawson. Akam and Rezar grab Ciampa and hit The Last Chapter for the pinfall, eliminating #DIY, and getting a bullshit chant from the crowd started.

** Final Elimination: AOP double team Wilder and go for a double team move. Dawson makes the save and The Revival hit german suplexes for a near fall. AOP go for The Last Chapter on Dawson, but Wilder makes the save and gets another near fall. AOP grab Dawson and Wilder and drill both men with power bombs. Dawson can barely stand, but somehow fights back and gets another near fall on Rezar. AOP hit the Super Collider on Wilder and Dawson, score the pinfall and retain the tag team titles.
Winners: The Authors of Pain, by pinfall, to retain the NXT World Tag Team Championship.

- "NXT Women's Championship Match": Asuka (c) vs. Ember Moon: The match closes out with Ember connecting with a drop kick on Asuka, follows that with a knee and then a fall away slam. Ember continues to unload on Asuka, until Asuka catches Ember with a german suplex for a near fall. Ember and Asuka trade shots back and forth until Ember drops Asuka with a forearm. Ember suplexes Asuka and gets a near fall. Ember sets up Asuka for the Eclipse Stunner, but Asuka meets Ember on the ropes and cuts off the finisher. Ember fights off Asuka and sends her flying off the ropes to the mat. Ember resets for the Eclipse Stunner, but Asuka shoves the referee into the ropes causing Ember to lose her balance and fall off the ropes. Asuka nails Ember with the Asuka Kick and scores the pinfall. Asuka remains undefeated and her title reign is over a year now.
Winner: Asuka, by pinfall, to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

- Drew Galloway, formally Drew McIntyre of the WWE is spotted sitting in the crowd.

- "NXT World Championship Match": Bobby Roode (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: The match closes out with Roode and Nakamura trading offensive moves with each other. Nakamura drops Roode and goes for the Kinshasa, but Roode escapes to the floor. Roode comes back into the ring and catches Nakamura with the Glorious DDT for a near fall. Roode growing irritated, goes to the floor, grabs the ring bell and brings it into the ring. The referee steps in, warns Roode about having the bell and then takes it away from Roode. Nakamura drops Roode while he's distracted by the referee and then hits an exploder suplex on Roode. Roode counters the Kinshasa by planting Nakamura with a spinebuster and gets another near fall. Roode and Nakamura trade shots and more offense until Nakamura blasts Roode in the face with a knee for a near fall. Nakamura takes Roode into the corner where Roode suddenly drills Nakamura with the Glorious DDT right out of the corner to score the pinfall and retain the title.
Winner: Bobby Roode, by pinfall, to retain the NXT World Championship.

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 3/9/17: NXT Recap

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, brings you this week's NXT recap.

This week's NXT saw Tye Dillinger battle Eric Young of SAnitY in one on one action . Andrade "Cien" Almas battled HoHo Lun in one on one action. Ember Moon battled Billie Kay in one on one Women's Division action. The Revival battled The Ealy Brothers in tag team action. The main event saw a returning Shinsuke Nakamura battle TJ Perkins in a one on one match. 

** NXT **

- Tye Dillinger vs. Eric Young: Before the match even starts Young sends SAnitY backstage. SAnitY returns and drags a beaten up Roderick Strong onto the stage. Dillinger, No Way Jose and NXT officials check on Strong. Jose and Dillinger hit the ring and brawl with SAnitY. SAnitY overpower Jose and Dillinger, beat both men down and leave them laid out.
Winner: No Contest.

- Earlier at the Performance Center, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay look for a spot to hang their NXT Breakout Star Award. The girls find Ember Moon working out and mock her. Ember goes after them, but gets held back by her NXT trainer.

- HoHo Lun vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas: The match closes out with Almas unloading on Lun and delivers a running kick. Lun fires back with a series of strikes. Almas plants Lun with a Hammerlock DDT and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Andrade "Cien" Almas, by pinfall.

- Billie Kay vs. Ember Moon: The match closes out with Billie landing shots on Ember, but Ember fires back with kicks. Ember goes for the Eclipse Stunner, but Peyton Royce tries to help Billie avoid it. Peyton gets sent out of the ring and Ember hits the Eclipse Stunner on Billie to score the pinfall. After the match, Billie is barely moving and looks to be seriously injured. NXT Medical and Peyton check on Billie who's finally able to get up on her own and walking out on her own power. 
Winner: Ember Moon, by pinfall.

- Backstage, TJ Perkins says he's returned to NXT to face some of NXT's best and Shinsuke Nakamura is one of them. 

- The Revival vs. The Ealy Brothers: Before the match can even start, The Authors of Pain hit the ring and destroy The Ealy Brothers. The AOP then go after The Revival, but The Revival quickly retreat to the back.
Winners: No Contest.

- Backstage, William Regal announces that Ember Moon is the new #1 Contender to Asuka and the NXT Women's Championship. They'll meet at Takeover: Orlando.

- Interview With Kassius Ohno: Ohno says it's great to be back in NXT, he remembers when NXT moved from Tampa to Orlando and when the NXT Performance Center first opened. Ohno says he's wrestled around the world, but winning the NXT World Title is something he's never done and plans on making it happen soon.

- Interview With Bobby Roode: The NXT World Champion is interviewed via satellite at his house. Roode doesn't care what Kassius Ohno said, his goal has been to class up NXT and doesn't plan on letting a bum like Ohno ruin Roode's goal. Roode guarantees he'll beat Ohno next week and NXT will remain....GLORIOUS!

- Shinsuke Nakamura vs. TJ Perkins: The match closes out with Perkins applying an arm bar, but Nakamura reverses it into his own arm bar. Perkins escapes and applies a Scorpion Death Lock, going after Nakamura's knee. Perkins applies his Knee Bar submission on Nakamura, but Nakamura reaches the ropes for the break. Perkins goes to the top rope, but gets cut off by Nakamura and taken down. Perkins and Nakamura trade reversals until Nakamura hits a Backstabber on Perkins. Nakamura hits the Kinshasa on Perkins and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura, by pinfall.

- Backstage, William Regal announces that the winner of next week's NXT World Championship Match between Bobby Roode and Kassius Ohno will face Shinsuke Nakamura at Takeover: Orlando.

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon 2/9/17: NXT Recap

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, brings you this week's NXT recap.

This week's NXT saw Dain and Wolfe of SAnitY battle The Bollywood Boyz in tag team action. Liv Morgan battled Billie Kay in women's division action. The Revival battled Heavy Machinery in tag team action. The new NXT World Champion Bobby Roode had his Glorious Celebration. The main event saw Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong and No Way Jose battle SAnitY in six man tag team action.

- SAnitY (Dain and Wolfe) vs. The Bollywood Boyz: The match closes out with The Boyz attempting a double super kick, but Dain plows both men over with a clothesline. Dain slams both Boyz on top of each other and then hits the Michinoku Driver to score the pinfall. After the match, Nikki Cross screams for Asuka. Eric Young tells Tye Dillinger that he again  isn't asking Dillinger to join SAnitY, he's demanding him to join.
Winners: SAnitY, by pinfall.

- Liv Morgan vs. Billie Kay: The match closes out with Billie suplexing Liv for a near fall. Peyton Royce tries to help Billie, but gets sent flying after Liv shoved Billie into her. Liv rolls up Billie and bridges it to score the pinfall.
Winner: Liv Morgan, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Tye Dillinger talks about Takeover and the Royal Rumble. SAnitY suddenly attack Dillinger from behind and beat down Dillinger all the way out to the ring. Roderick Strong and No Way Jose hit the ring and make the save for Dillinger.

- Backstage, William Regal announces that Tyler Bate will defend his WWE United Kingdom Championship next week against Trent Seven. Peyton Royce and Billie Kay interrupt and demand a match with Liv Morgan. Regal announces a tag match for next week against Liv Morgan and a partner of her choice.

- It's announced that Shinsuke Nakamura won't need surgery, but a return time is still unknown.

- The Revival vs. Heavy Machinery: The match closes out with Dozovic hitting a side slam on Dawson and tags in Knight, who cleans house. Wilder pulls Dozovic off the apron and attacks him outside. Knight tries to make the save, but gets planted with the Dawson DDT, allowing The Revival to score the pinfall. After the match, The Revival call out the NXT World Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain and challenge them to a match at Takeover: Orlando. AOP hit the ring, but The Revival retreat. The AOP celebrate and get caught off guard by The Revival who return and attack AOP from behind. The Revival again retreat before the AOP can regroup.
Winners: The Revival, by pinfall.

- Bobby Roode's Glorious Celebration: Roode says he's not the type to say that he told you so....but....wait yes he is, he told you so. Roode hypes everyone that Shinsuke Nakamura has beaten in NXT, but he's never beaten Bobby Roode. Roode jokes that Nakamura gave everything he had and still couldn't get the job done. Roode says his win was the greatest moment in NXT, NXT now have a real champion, this is his NXT and NXT is now....GLORIOUS!

- "Six Man Tag Team Match": Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, No Way Jose vs. SAnitY (Eric Young, Dain and Wolfe): The match closes out with Dillinger slamming Wolfe and tagging in Strong. Strong unloads and takes out all of SAnitY. Strong drop kicks EY and a six man brawl breaks out. Nikki Cross interferes and head scissors Dillinger over the top rope. Dain plows over Strong and EY scores the pinfall.
Winners: SAnitY, by pinfall.
