NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 3 Recap

NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 3 was live at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. NXT kicked off WWE's huge weekend of wrestling, live in the Big Apple.

** Takeover: Brooklyn 3 Card **

- Aleister Black battled Hideo Itami.
- Johnny Gargano battled Andrade "Cien" Almas.
- NXT Women's Champion Asuka defended her title against Ember Moon.
- NXT World Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain defended their titles against SAnitY.
- NXT World Champion Bobby Roode defended his title against Drew McIntyre.

** Takeover: Brooklyn 3 Recap **

- NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 3 kicks off with the band Code Orange performimg "Bleeding In The Blur" which was used as the official theme song of the pay per view.

- Johnny Gargano vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas: The match closes out with Almas countering a slingshot spear and hits Gargano with a near fall inverted DDT. Almas counters a sunset flip power bomb and drills Gargano with a spinning elbow. Almas hip tosses Gargano into the turnbuckle. Gargano spins Almas around and traps Almas in the Gargano Escape submission. Almas escapes by buckle bombing Gargano for a near fall. Almas hits a knee to the face of Gargano and takes shots on Gargano's arm.
Gargano lands a back kick, a super kick and then tosses Almas face first into the turn buckle with the Lawn Dart. Gargano measures up Almas, but Zelina Vega distracts Gargano by throwing a #DIY shirt at him. Almas hits a running drop, sending Gargano flying into the corner. Almas plants Gargano with the Hammerlock DDT and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Andrade "Cien" Almas, by pinfall.

- RAW GM Kurt Angle and Smackdown Live GM Daniel Bryan are shown in the crowd sitting with Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, No Way Jose and Roderick Strong.

- Backstage, Drew McIntyre is getting warmed up for his NXT World Championship Match tonight.

- "NXT World Tag Team Championship Match": The Authors of Pain (c) vs. SAnitY: The match closes out with Young getting caught by Rezar, lifted by the throat and driven into the mat. EY dodges an elbow, tags Wolfe and Wolfe unloads on the AOP. Wolfe suplexes Akam and then german suplexes Rezar. Wolfe with a top rope clothesline on Rezar and gets a near fall. AOP hit a double team neckbreaker/power bomb combo on Wolfe for a near fall. Wolfe with a frankensteiner and Akam gets sent outside. EY tags in and hits a neckbreaker on Rezar. EY gets crotched on the ropes and Rezar and Akam attempt a superplex. Nikki Cross holds onto EY making Akam fall to the mat. EY and Wolfe both hit suicide dives on AOP as they both rolled outside. Nikki Cross and Paul Ellering go face to face inside the ring, but get separated by the referee. Nikki leaps outside, but gets caught by Akam. Killian Dain charges and spears Akam and Nikki right through a table. Wolfe and EY hit a double team elbow finisher on Rezar and score the pinfall to win the titles.
Winners: SAnitY, by pinfall, to win the NXT World Tag Team Championship.


- After the match, EY and Wolfe celebrate their title win when suddenly Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly, aka ReDragon, hit the ring and attack both men. Fish and O'Reilly get some shots in on AOP as well before grabbing the NXT Tag Team titles and celebrate with them.

- We see Neville, Shinsuke Nakamura and Kalisto sitting in the crowd.

- Backstage, NXT World Champion Bobby Roode is shown warming up for his title match tonight.

- Jim Ross arrives to do commentary for the next match.

- Cold Orange returns to perform Aleister Black's theme entrance live.

- Aleister Black vs. Hideo Itami: Black catches a shot to the face in the match, bloodying Black's nose. The match closes out with Black unloading on Itami, but Itami hits a clothesline for a near fall. Itami hits a fisherman's suplex for another near fall. Black lays out Itami with a kick and goes to the top rope. Itami cuts off Black and goes for a superplex, but Black sends Itami to the mat with an elbow. Itami sends Black into the turnbuckle and hits a Falcon Arrow off the top rope for a near fall. Black and Itami trade shots in the middle of the ring. Black drills Itami with a knee, but Itami comes back with another Falcon Arrow for a near fall.
Itami hits a leaping hesitation drop kick on Black in the corner. Itami measures up Black and goes for the Go To Sleep. Black counters out and hits the Black Mass kick out of nowhere on Itami. Black covers and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Aleister Black, by pinfall.

- We see Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky Lynch sitting in the crowd.

- Backstage, NXT Women's Champion Asuka is shown warming up. Ember Moon is then shown walking to the ring for her title shot.

- "NXT Women's Championship Match": Asuka (c) vs. Ember Moon: The match closes out with Asuka and Ember trading shots until Asuka hits the running hip attack. Ember blocks a second hip attack attempt and plants a knee on Asuka. Ember hits a tornado suplex for a near fall. Asuka takes over on offense, plants a kick on Ember then unloads more lethal kicks. Ember catches a kick and plants Asuka for a near fall. Ember goes to the top rope, but gets cut off by Asuka. Ember hits a double foot stomp on Asuka for a near fall. Ember goes back on the ropes and hits the Eclipse Stunner on Asuka, but Asuka kicks out at two and a half. Ember can't believe it as she goes back to the top rope. Asuka grabs the referee and uses him as a shield, but Ember still leaps and cross body blocks Asuka.
Asuka rolls through, grabs Ember's tights and tries to steal a pinfall, but the referee catches Asuka cheating. Asuka argues with the referee and catches a huge kick to the face from Ember. Ember covers and gets another two and a half on Asuka. Ember again is stunned that she can't put Asuka away. Asuka catches Ember in an arm bar submission, but Ember fights out of it. Asuka releases the arm bar submission and catches Ember in the Asuka Lock submission. Ember tries to escape, but Asuka applies the pressure and locks up Ember tight. Ember can't fight it any longer and taps out. Asuka retains her title and has now been champion for 504+ days.
Winner: Asuka, by submission, to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

- After the match, Ember Moon gets a standing ovation from the NXT fans.

- Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe are shown sitting in the crowd.

- The NYPD Pipe and Drums Band are out to play the opening intro to Drew McIntyre's theme music.

- "NXT World Championship Match": Bobby Roode (c) vs. Drew McIntyre: The match closes out with McIntyre getting a near fall backslide and then a near fall Future Shock DDT. McIntyre attempts a fireman's carry on Roode off the top rope, but Roode counters with a near fall Liger Bomb. McIntyre unloads kicks and chops on Roode and Roode returns with slaps. McIntyre drills Roode with The Claymore and gets a near fall. Roode rolls outside, but gets taken out as McIntyre flies outside with a plancha. McIntyre tosses Roode back in the ring and sets him up for The Claymore.
Roode catches McIntyre charging and hits a spine buster. McIntyre counters the Glorious DDT and gets a near fall rollup on Roode. McIntyre goes for a tilt a whirl, but Roode counters it and drills McIntyre with a Glorious DDT for a near fall. Roode hits a second Glorious DDT on McIntyre, keeps McIntyre hooked and goes for a third attempt. McIntyre counters the third attempt and drills Roode with The Claymore. McIntyre covers Roode and scores the pinfall to win the title.
Winner: Drew McIntyre, by pinfall, to win the NXT World Championship.


- After the match, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly suddenly hit the ring and distract McIntyre from the apron. McIntyre makes a move toward them but suddenly gets attacked from behind by.........ADAM COLE BAYYY BAYYY!! Cole, Fish and O'Reilly all triple team McIntyre and beat him down. Cole drills McIntyre with a super kick and celebrates with the NXT World Championship to end the show.

Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 7/13/17: NXT Recap

NXT returned this week for another edition of NXT TV. Johnny Gargano finally returned after being on the DL after being beaten up by former tag team partner Tommoso Ciampa. A former ROH wrestler made his NXT debut this week. NXT World Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain defended their titles this week. All that and a lot more.

** This Weeks Card **

- Aleister Black battled Bobby Fish.
- Vanessa Borne battled Jayme Hachey in a Mae Young Classic Tournament Qualifying Match.
- NXT World Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain defended their titles against Heavy Machinery. 

- Johnny Gargano returns from the DL.

** NXT **

- Aleister Black vs. Bobby Fish: The match closes out with Black hitting a knee, but Fish comes back with a suplex. Black and Fish trade punches and kicks until Black hits a springboard dive and a high knee on Fish. Black finishes off Fish with the Black Mass kick and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Aleister Black, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Hideo Itami blames Kassius Ohno for their loss last week. Ohno tells Itami he's changed since losing at Takeover: Chicago and Itami needs to start taking accountability for his actions.

- "Mae Young Classic Tournament Qualifying Match": Vanessa Borne vs. Jayme Hachey: The match closes out with Jayme trapping Vanessa in a submission. Vanessa escapes and unloads a series of chops on Jayme. Vanessa hits a spinning slam on Jayme and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Vanessa Borne, by pinfall.

- A video from last week is shown which shows Wolfe and Dain of SAnitY attacking and beating down Drew McIntyre in the parking lot.

- Backstage, William Regal informs NXT World Champion Bobby Roode that Drew McIntyre and Dain are both undefeated and potential challengers for Roode's title. Roode doesn't care because he could beat both on any given day. Regal announces McIntyre vs. Dain for next week with the winner getting Bobby Roode.

- Johnny Gargano Promo: Gargano says he's been gone awhile and has missed everyone. Gargano says he never thought that the man he'd take a bullet for would be the one to pull the trigger. Gargano says he'll never understand why Tommaso Ciampa did what he did, but he's not going to dwell on it and wants a spot on the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 3 card.

- "NXT World Tag Team Championship Match": The Authors of Pain (c) vs. Heavy Machinery: The match closes out with Knight unloading clotheslines on AOP. Dozovic tags in, takes down Akam and then hits a belly to belly on Razar. Dozovic hits a power slam and then both members of Heavy Machinery hit assisted body slams for a near fall. Akam takes out Dozovic and then AOP hit the Last Chapter to score the pinfall and retain their titles.
Winners: Authors of Pain, by pinfall, to retain the NXT World Tag Team Championship.



- After the match, Wolfe, Dain and Nikki Cross of SAnitY appear on the stage and stare down the AOP. Pages from the Book of Pain fall from the ceiling as SAnitY play mind games with AOP to end the show.

Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 5/11/17: NXT Recap

We're back this week with another exciting NXT Recap! Just who would walk out tonight the new #1 Contender to Bobby Roode's NXT World Championship at NXT Takeover: Chicago? Would it be Hideo Itami or Roderick Strong? By the end of the night the NXT Takeover: Chicago card would be close to if not fully finalized and ready to invade the windy city.

- Aleister Black battled Cezar Bononi.
- #DIY battled Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss.
- Hideo Itami battled Roderick Strong in a #1 Contenders Match for a shot at the NXT World Champion Bobby Roode.

- Aleister Black vs. Cezar Bononi: The match closes out with Bononi giving Black a little bit more of an offense than what Black has been used to. Black finally unloads a series of strikes and delivers Black Mass to score the pinfall.
Winner: Aleister Black, by pinfall.

- William Regal announces that Asuka will have to defend her NXT Women's Championship at NXT Takeover: Chicago in a Fatal Four Way Match against Ruby Riot, Nikki Cross and Ember Moon as punishment for ruining the #1 Contenders Battle Royal last week.

- Ember Moon, however, has a shoulder sprain, which you can read about in this weekend's Weekend 3 Count on Sunday. Ember promises she'll be gunning for Asuka when she returns.

- Video highlights are shown of Pete Dunne winning a #1 Contenders Match. It'll be WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate battling Pete Dunne at NXT Takeover: Chicago.

- Ruby Riot gets a video highlight reel this week on her career and personal life.

- Backstage, Nikki Cross is attempted to be interviewed, but demands her opponents and the NXT Women's Championship. Nikki terrorizes the sound guy and messes with the microphones.

- Backstage, Drew McIntyre gets interrupted by Wesley Blake who tells McIntyre he needs to leave before he embarrasses himself like he did in his first WWE run a few years back.

- #DIY Promo: Gargano and Ciampa hype The Authors of Pain as being the biggest and baddest, but #DIY never got their rightful one on one rematch for the NXT World Tag Team Championship. Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss interrupt and state that the line needs to start behind them now that they have arrived. Ciampa says there is a line and they just crossed it. #DIY attack and we get an impromptu match.

- #DIY vs. Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli: The match closes out with Moss and Sabbatelli putting up a good fight against #DIY. Gargano hits a spear on Moss and Sabbatelli gets tossed. #DIY hit their double team finisher and score the pinfall. After the match, William Regal announces that at NXT Takeover: Chicago it'll be The Authors of Pain defending their NXT World Tag Team Championship against #DIY in a Ladder Match. Paul Ellering promises that the AOP will end #DIY's careers.
Winners: #DIY, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Kassius Ohno talks about coming up short against Bobby Roode and the NXT World Championship last month. Andrade "Cien" Almas interrupts and says that he has an opportunity for Ohno.

- Video highlights of WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate.

- "#1 Contenders Match": Roderick Strong vs. Hideo Itami: The match closes out with both men trading shots. Itami hits a Falcon Arrow off the top rope on Strong for a near fall. Strong hits a leaping knee strike and gets a near fall. Itami hits his own leaping knee strike then attempts the Go To Sleep. Strong counters out, but catches a running drop kick into the corner. Itami goes for Go To Sleep again, but Strong counters again with forearms on Itami. Itami catches Strong and finally hits Go To Sleep and scores the pinfall to become the new #1 Contender.
Winner: Hideo Itami, by pinfall, to become the new #1 Contender.

Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 4/27/17: NXT Recap

We are back with another NXT Recap for the week ladies and gents! The WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate returned to NXT this week to put the title on the line against 205 Live's Jack Gallagher. Could the nineteen year old champion defeat the English Gentleman and retain his title?

** This Weeks Card **
- Andrade "Cien" Almas battled Drew McIntyre.
- Aleister Black battled Kona Reeves.
- WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate defended his title against Jack Gallagher. 

- The Nikki Cross/Ruby Riot feud heats up.

*** NXT ***

- Nikki Cross Calls Out Ruby Riot: Nikki Cross immediately interrupts the beginning of the show and dares Ruby Riot to come out. Ruby heads to the ring and both ladies immediately rip into each other, swinging punches. The fight goes outside where Nikki sends Ruby into the steel steps. NXT officials try to separate both ladies, but Nikki climbs on top of the steel steps, leaps off and takes out Ruby and some officials. NXT Officials finally get both ladies separated and pull Nikki backstage.

- Backstage, NXT World Champion Bobby Roode says that what Hideo Itami did to him last week was a cowardly attack. Roode says the only way Itami will ever get a title shot is by earning it.

- Drew McIntyre vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas: The match closes out with Almas slapping McIntyre in the face, getting McIntyre fired up. McIntyre unloads a fury of kicks, slaps and punches on Almas. McIntyre loads up the boot in the corner, charges and destroys Almas with the running kick. McIntyre covers and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Drew McIntyre, by pinfall.

- A highlight video is shown about Roderick Strong and the struggles that he has had while growing up to be a wrestler.

- Backstage, William Regal announces Nikki Cross vs. Ruby Riot for later tonight.

- Aleister Black vs. Kona Reeves: The match closes out with Reeves getting some surprise offense in on Black. Black unloads kicks and strikes, drops Reeves and then sits on the mat to meditate. Black gets up, lifts Reeves up off the mat by using only his foot and kicks Reeves' face off with the Black Mass. Black covers and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Aleister Black, by pinfall.

- Nikki Cross vs. Ruby Riot: The match never happens as Nikki attacks Ruby from behind on the way to the ring. Both ladies brawl around ringside as NXT Officials again rush out to separate them. Ruby leaps off the stage and takes out Nikki and some officials. Both ladies are separated and dragged backstage.
Winner: No Contest.

- Backstage, William Regal informs NXT Women's Champion Asuka that there will be a battle royal next week to decide Asuka's #1 Contender for NXT Takeover: Chicago. 

- "WWE United Kingdom Championship Match": Tyler Bate (c) vs. Jack Gallagher: The match closes out with Bate attempting a suicide dive on Gallagher, but Gallagher counters it by connecting with a big head butt on Bate. Gallagher connects with another head butt on Bate and gets a near fall. Bate lands a rolling kick off the ropes on Gallagher, hits the Tyler Driver 97 and scores the pinfall to retain his title.
Winner: Tyler Bate, by pinfall, to retain the WWE United Kingdom Championship.

Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 4/13/17: NXT Recap

NXT returned to Full Sail University this week for the beginning of the New Era of NXT.

** This Weeks Card **
- Aleister Black battled Corey Hollis.
- #DIY battled Dillon Miley and Michael Blaze.
- Ruby Riot battled Kimberly Frankele.
- The returning Drew McIntyre battled Oney Lorcan.

- Former 2 Time NXT World Champion Shinsuke Nakamura says goodbye to NXT as he moves on to Smackdown Live.

** NXT **

- Aleister Black vs. Corey Hollis: Black destroys a charging Hollis with the Black Mass kick right as the bell sounds and scores the easy quick pinfall.
Winner: Aleister Black, by pinfall.

- Backstage, Tye Dillinger says he's getting one last match against Eric Young next week before Dillinger goes to Smackdown Live full time. Oh and it'll be a Steel Cage Match.

- #DIY vs. Dillon Miley and Michael Blaze: The match closes out with Miley showing tremendous strength by hitting a stalling suplex on Gargano. Blaze takes control after being tagged in. #DIY return on offense and pick up the pinfall with their double team finisher. After the match, an angry Miley viciously attacks Blaze and leaves his tag team partner laid out.
Winners: #DIY, by pinfall.

- Ruby Riot vs. Kimberly Frankele: Nikki Cross appears at ringside and tries to distract Ruby during her match. The match closes out with Ruby hitting a clothesline on Kimberly and then delivers knees into the turnbuckle. Ruby lands a Pele Kick and scores the pinfall. After the match, Ruby and Nikki have a staredown.
Winner: Ruby Riot, by pinfall.

- Earlier in the day Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are at the Performance Center, find Liv Morgan and Aliyah and try to bully them. Billie ends up getting shoved into the cold tub and struggles to get out.

- Oney Lorcan vs. Drew McIntyre: The match closes out with Lorcan and McIntyre landing strikes on each other. Lorcan grabs McIntyre and slaps him continuously. McIntyre lifts Lorcan and slams him with the Alabama Slam. McIntyre hits the running leg kick on Lorcan and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Drew McIntyre, by pinfall.

- Shinsuke Nakamura Says Goodbye: Nakamura says he came in a year ago from Japan, already had plenty of wrestling experience, but wanted to challenge himself. Nakamura says he's learned a lot from everyone in NXT, NXT is it's own brand with its energy and that makes NXT different. Nakamura says the NXT Universe is crazy with its singing, chants, pure passion and calls NXT "Our Style". Nakamura says he will always be NXT because WE ARE NXT! Nakamura dances and celebrates with the fans as the NXT locker room clears out to show their respect to Nakamura. Nakamura bows with respect to NXT GM William Regal and the whole roster and then gets a hug from a surprise appearance by Finn Balor to end the show.

NXT Takeover: Orlando #NXTTakeOverOrlando #NXTOrlando

Twas the night before Wrestlemania 33 and what a GLORIOUS night it was! NXT Takeover: Orlando was live at the Amway Center, in Orlando, Florida! NXT World Champion "The Glorious One" Bobby Roode defended his title against former 2 time NXT World Champion, the King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura. NXT Women's Champion Asuka, who one year ago tonight won the title, defended against Ember Moon. NXT World Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain defended their titles against The Revival and #DIY in a Triple Threat Elimination Match. Aleister Black made his NXT debut as he battled Andrade "Cien" Almas in a one on one match. Eric Young, Alexader Wolfe, Killian Dain and Nikki Cross aka SAnitY battled "The Perfect Ten" Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, No Way Jose and Ruby Riot in an Eight Person Tag Team Match.

** NXT Takeover: Orlando **

- Triple H is in the ring under a spotlight to kick off the show. Triple H says that tonight is our night, we make history, we show the world why we're NXT and tonight we are home!

- It was announced on the Takeover: Orlando Pre-Show that No Way Jose was viciously attacked earlier in the day by Eric Young at the Wrestlemania Axxess event and has not been cleared to wrestle tonight. William Regal gives Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong and Ruby Riot the chance to find a new partner for their Eight Person Tag Team Match tonight.

- "Eight Person Tag Team Match": SAnitY vs. Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, Ruby Riot and ????: Kassius Ohno is chosen as the mystery partner at the very last minute. The match closes out with Dillinger making the hot tag and unloads on everyone. Dillinger with a big DDT on Wolfe, hits a crossbody on Wolfe off the top rope and then suicide dives outside, taking out Eric Young. Dain attacks Dillinger, Strong makes the save, but Strong gets attacked by Wolfe. Ohno takes out Wolfe on the floor, but Ohno gets dropped by Dain on the floor. Ruby tries a suicide dive, but gets stopped by Nikki, so Ruby unloads on Nikki instead and both fall outside.
Dillinger corner mounts Young, unloads ten punches, drops Young and then super kicks Dain for a near fall. Ohno hits an elbow on Wolfe, but gets attacked by Young. Strong gets involved and plants a kick on Young, knocking Young out. Nikki jumps onto Strong's back as Ruby jumps on Dain's back. Nikki goes after Ruby, but gets tossed outside. Nikki hits a dropkick on Ruby, as Ruby followed Nikki outside. Dain stops Dillinger from hitting the Tye Breaker on Wolfe, drills Dillinger into the mat and scores the pinfall.
Winners: SAnitY, by pinfall.

- Aleister Black vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas: The match closes out with Almas in control of Black, taking him to the corner and unloading. Almas goes for a charge, but Black moves, Almas hits the turnbuckle and Black gets a near fall. Almas and Black trade shots back and forth and then they plant kicks on each other at the same time, dropping both men to the mat. Both men are up, trade offense until Almas plants a kick right to the back of Black's neck. Almas tosses Black into the corner, charges and hits double knees on Black. Black counters a DDT, but Almas counters back with a snapping german suplex for a near fall. Black is up, connects with jumping knees on Almas and then drills Almas with a boot. Almas and Black trade more offense until Black puts Almas down face first to the mat. Black hits a spinning kick to the face of Almas and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Aleister Black, by pinfall.

- "NXT World Tag Team Championship, Triple Threat Elimination Match": Authors of Pain (c) vs. The Revival vs. #DIY:

** First Elimination: The Revival hit the ring and double team Rezar. Gargano and Ciampa hit the ring next and join in on the 4 on 2 beat down on the AOP. The Revival and #DIY start trading blows back and forth now. Gargano and Wilder stop swinging on each other and both suicide dive onto Akam and Rezar outside. Wilder goes to the top rope and super plexes Gargano all the way out to the floor and on top of everyone, taking all six men out. Dawson tosses Ciampa into the ring, but Rezar comes in and decks Dawson. Akam and Rezar grab Ciampa and hit The Last Chapter for the pinfall, eliminating #DIY, and getting a bullshit chant from the crowd started.

** Final Elimination: AOP double team Wilder and go for a double team move. Dawson makes the save and The Revival hit german suplexes for a near fall. AOP go for The Last Chapter on Dawson, but Wilder makes the save and gets another near fall. AOP grab Dawson and Wilder and drill both men with power bombs. Dawson can barely stand, but somehow fights back and gets another near fall on Rezar. AOP hit the Super Collider on Wilder and Dawson, score the pinfall and retain the tag team titles.

- "NXT Women's Championship Match": Asuka (c) vs. Ember Moon: The match closes out with Ember connecting with a drop kick on Asuka, follows that with a knee and then a fall away slam. Ember continues to unload on Asuka, until Asuka catches Ember with a german suplex for a near fall. Ember and Asuka trade shots back and forth until Ember drops Asuka with a forearm. Ember suplexes Asuka and gets a near fall. Ember sets up Asuka for the Eclipse Stunner, but Asuka meets Ember on the ropes and cuts off the finisher. Ember fights off Asuka and sends her flying off the ropes to the mat. Ember resets for the Eclipse Stunner, but Asuka shoves the referee into the ropes causing Ember to lose her balance and fall off the ropes. Asuka nails Ember with the Asuka Kick and scores the pinfall. Asuka remains undefeated and her title reign is over a year now.

- "NXT World Championship Match": Bobby Roode (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: The match closes out with Roode and Nakamura trading offensive moves with each other. Nakamura drops Roode and goes for the Kinshasa, but Roode escapes to the floor. Roode comes back into the ring and catches Nakamura with the Glorious DDT for a near fall. Roode growing irritated, goes to the floor, grabs the ring bell and brings it into the ring. The referee steps in, warns Roode about having the bell and then takes it away from Roode. Nakamura drops Roode while he's distracted by the referee and then hits an exploder suplex on Roode. Roode counters the Kinshasa by planting Nakamura with a spinebuster and gets another near fall. Roode and Nakamura trade shots and more offense until Nakamura blasts Roode in the face with a knee for a near fall. Nakamura takes Roode into the corner where Roode suddenly drills Nakamura with the Glorious DDT right out of the corner to score the pinfall and retain the title.
