Wrestling Lockup With Brandon 6/13/17: RAW Lafayette Recap

Another exciting week of wrestling action begins with Monday Night RAW! This week WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar was in the building looking for #1 Contender Samoa Joe, after Samoa Joe attacked and choked out Lesnar's agent Paul Heyman last week. Also the storyline of who's attacking Enzo and Big Cass continued as did the mystery of the Kurt Angle text messages. All that and alot more as this week's RAW was live in Lafayette, Louisiana.

** This Weeks Card **

- Dean Ambrose battled Elias Samson.
- Cedric Alexander battled Noam Dar.
- Kalisto battled Apollo Crews.
- WWE RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Emma battled Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke and Mickie James in a Six Woman Tag Team Match.
- Heath Slater and Rhyno battled WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz and The Congratulations Bear.
- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville battled Rich Swann.
- Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson battled Enzo and Big Cass.
- WWE RAW World Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro defended their titles against The Hardy Boys, in a 2 Out of 3 Falls Match.

- "The Beast" Brock Lesnar was in the building and demanding Samoa Joe's head for his attack on Paul Heyman last week.

- Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins go face to face. 

- The Women's Division heats up over the WWE RAW Women's Championship.

** RAW **

- Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman Promo: Heyman says he's here to unleash The Beast, Joe kicked in the front door of The Beast's lair by touching Heyman and Lesnar is here to solve the problem. Heyman says he thought Joe was the best challenger for Lesnar, but he was wrong, Joe is just a punk Samoan that none of the other Samoans care about. Heyman guarantees that Joe will never get close enough to get the Coquina Clutch locked on Lesnar. Samoa Joe hits the ring, gets right in Lesnar's face and unloads. Lesnar and Joe brawl all over the ring as Kurt Angle and WWE Security rush out. Security gets wasted and Lesnar tackles Joe. The RAW locker room hits the ring next as Joe plants a kick on Lesnar. Lesnar gets held back as Joe is dragged away by the RAW locker room to end the segment.

- Dean Ambrose vs. Elias Samson: The match closes out with The Miz and Maryse arriving at ringside. Ambrose goes after The Miz and sends him into the barricade. Maryse distracts Ambrose allowing Miz to try to attack Ambrose from behind. Ambrose sees it coming and counters. Ambrose gets back in the ring before getting counted out and gets hit with knees by Samson. Samson hits the snap swinging neck breaker on Ambrose and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Elias Samson, by pinfall.

- We get another Shattered Dreams Video with Goldust stating that R-Truth is jealous and scared of him and we should buckle up because the Golden One is back.

- Backstage, The Miz tells Kurt Angle that he wants Dean Ambrose either fired or suspended for ruining his celebration last week. Angle tells Miz to never talk to him like that and if he wants something done about Ambrose than he can do it himself.

- A video plays of Cedric Alexander stating that he's done with Noam Dar. Dar is talking to Alicia Fox on FaceTime and Alicia wants Dar to kick Alexander's face in. Alexander says this feud will end tonight.

- Noam Dar vs. Cedric Alexander: The match closes out quickly with Dar arguing with Alicia Fox on FaceTime in the ring. Alexander hits the Lumbar Check on Dar and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Cedric Alexander, by pinfall.

- Bray Wyatt Promo: Bray cuts a promo on Seth Rollins, bragging about costing Rollins his match last week. Seth Rollins interrupts and says that everything that he's ever said about Bray has been the truth. Rollins dares Bray to step up to him and prove him wrong. Bray says that Rollins is beneath him and he doesn't want a fight because Bray is too powerful. The lights go out, Bray disappears and then reappears on the TitanTron. Bray says that Rollins may have slayed a king, but Gods live forever.

- Backstage, The Hardy's call Sheamus and Cesaro the highest bar that they are about to break through and regain the WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship.

- Kalisto vs. Apollo Crews: Titus O'Neil and Akira Tozawa are at ringside. The match closes out with Kalisto landing a kick as Titus O'Neil cheers on Crews. Crews counters a back elbow, plants Kalisto with a sit down power bomb and scores the pinfall. After the match, The Titus Brand celebrates, but Tozawa doesn't look too impressed.
Winner: Apollo Crews, by pinfall.

- Backstage, The Miz tries to recruit Heath Slater. Slater says he'll think about it, but he wants a title shot. Rhyno interrupts and says Slater already has a partner and tells Miz to go find a partner because they're fighting tonight.

- Alexa Bliss Promo: Alexa talks about being forced to battle Nia Jax last week when Nia immediately interrupts. Nia says she was owned the title shot not forced. Alexa says she meant to say she was thrilled to defend her title against Nia. Alexa blames Mickie James and Dana Brooke for ruining their match. Mickie and Dana interrupt and head to the ring. Mickie tells Alexa she has a long way to go until she reaches Mickie's status. Alexa calls Dana a disgruntled employee and Mickie with her spotlight fading. Emma suddenly interrupts and heads to the ring. Emma says she's here to take the spotlight back from Alexa. Sasha Banks interrupts next and begins a brawl by going after Alexa. A six woman tag team match is immediately signed for now.

- "Six Woman Tag Team Match": Mickie James, Dana Brooke and Sasha Banks vs. Emma, Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss: The match closes out with Sasha hitting a neck breaker on Emma, but Nia stops the pinfall. Mickie kicks Nia and sends her outside to the floor. Mickie hits a Thesz Press on Nia and unloads. Sasha traps Emma in the Banks Statement submission and makes Emma tap out.
Winners: Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke and Mickie James, by submission.

- Backstage, Bayley says her loss at WWE Extreme Rules hasn't changed her, she still wants to be the best. Bayley says her goal is to walk into Wrestlemania 34 the WWE RAW Women's Champion.

- Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. The Miz and The Congratulations Bear: The match closes out with Miz unmasking the bear thinking it's Dean Ambrose but it wasn't. Slater and Rhyno work over Miz as a second bear suddenly hits the ring and hits Dirty Deeds on Slater. The bear unmasks to reveal himself as Ambrose. Miz tries to run and accidentally knocks Maryse off the apron. Miz gets hit with Dirty Deeds and then Ambrose lays Slater on top of Miz for the pinfall.
Winners: Heath Slater and Rhyno, by pinfall.

- Rich Swann vs. Neville: Before the match can even start, Neville attacks and beats down Swann. Swann gets tossed into the barricade and then Neville traps Swann in the Rings of Saturn submission.
Winner: No Contest.

- Neville Promo: After the match, Neville says it feels good to be king and how many more challengers must he destroy to get respect. Neville then warns Akira Tozawa to watch himself or else he will be forced to bow to the king.

- Backstage, Sheamus and Cesaro have a copy of The Hardy's book they wrote after the Attitude Era. Sheamus and Cesaro state that they'll inspire The Hardy's to write a new book about retirement. 

- Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass: The match closes out with Enzo going for a tag but Cass is outside on the floor. Gallows hits a boot on Enzo and then The Club hit the Magic Killer on Enzo for the pinfall. After the match, The Club attempt another Magic Killer on Enzo, but Big Show hits the ring. The Club retreat and Cass looks on not too happy with Show being buddies with Enzo.
Winner: The Club, by pinfall.

- A video of R-Truth's What's Up Productions plays. Truth says he's mad as hell and won't take it anymore. Goldust will get got.

- Backstage, Enzo thanks Big Show for helping him and wants to be sure Show has nothing to do with their attacks. Show gets upset for being questioned and blames Big Cass for being SAWFT.

- Backstage, Samoa Joe says his plan was to show Brock Lesnar what he'll be facing at WWE Great Balls of Fire. Joe says he's walking into Lesnar's house, looking him in the eye, choking him out with the Coquina Clutch submission and walking out the new WWE Universal Champion.

- "WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship, 2 Out of 3 Falls Match": Sheamus and Cesaro (c) vs. The Hardy Boys: 

** First Fall: Matt hits a Side Effect and Jeff gets the near fall. The Hardy's take control of Sheamus and dump Cesaro outside. Matt goes for a Twist of Fate, but Cesaro grabs Matt's leg. Jeff goes for Whisper in the Wind on Sheamus, but Sheamus counters by Brogue Kicking Jeff as he was in the corner. Sheamus covers and scores the pinfall. Sheamus and Cesaro lead 1-0.

** Second Fall: Matt unloads on Cesaro as the fans chant delete. Matt sends Cesaro head first into the turnbuckle repeatedly and then connects with a running clothesline. Cesaro counters a bulldog, but Matt returns with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Matt drops Sheamus on the apron and then hits a Twist of Fate on Cesaro to score the pinfall. We're all tied up at 1-1.

** Final Fall: Outside the ring, Sheamus misses a charge on Jeff and hits the ring post. Back in the ring, Jeff hits a Swanton Bomb on Cesaro and gets a near fall as Sheamus pulls Cesaro outside to safety. Jeff leaps outside and takes out Cesaro. Cesaro goes after Jeff, but Matt makes the save. Sheamus plants Jeff on the floor as Cesaro sends Matt into the barricade. Both teams continue to brawl and end up getting counted out. After the match, The Hardy's take out Sheamus and Cesaro, forcing them to finally retreat, still the tag team champions.
Winners: Draw, Sheamus and Cesaro retain the WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship.
