Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 1.6.15: #RAW Results

By @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE. It's the RAW recap from last night's show. It's the first RAW of 2015 and The Authority is once again back in charge. All the superstars that wanted The Authority gone at Survivor Series, will now have huge targets on their backs, by The Authority. Also last week, it was announced that Dean Ambrose would face Bray Wyatt in an "Ambulance Match", the first one ever on RAW. This week, RAW was live in Corpus Christi, Texas, let's get to this week's RAW recap.

- In Ring Segment with John Cena: The ring is surrounded by the RAW locker room as Cena stands in the ring with a mic. Cena apologizes for bringing back The Authority because saving Edge was more important. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon arrive and immediately interrupt Cena. Triple H calls Sting a painted face goof and claims the WWE was a sinking ship the month The Authority was banned. Triple H thanks Seth Rollins and calls Rollins out to the ring. Triple H announces that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match at Royal Rumble will now be a "Triple Threat Match" with Seth Rollins being added in with John Cena and Brock Lesnar. Stephanie then announces that tonight will be John Cena appreciation night.

- "WWE Intercontinental Championship Match": Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Bad News Barrett: Both men with near falls early. Barrett tries to slow the match down with stomps, knees and head locks. Ziggler counters a head lock and cradles Barrett for the pinfall. After the match, Barrett viciously attacks Ziggler. Barrett tosses Ziggler into the barricade twice, face first into the announcers table, into the steel steps, face first into the steel steps, into the ring post and finally shoulder first into the ring post a couple times. Corporate Kane arrives and announces that this is now a "2 Out of 3 Falls Match".

- Match #2: Barrett quickly capitalizes on Ziggler and hits a big boot. Barrett next hits "Wasteland" on Ziggler, covers, scores the pinfall and ties the score at one. After the match, WWE medical check on Ziggler.

- Match #3: Barrett big boot and "Wasteland" but Ziggler kicks out at two. Barrett hits another big boot for a near fall. Ziggler tries to fight back, but misses a splash and catches a Barrett knee for another near fall. Barrett counters Ziggler's "Famasser" and hits "Winds of Change" but Ziggler again kicks out at two. Barrett goes for the "Bullhammer", Ziggler counters and super kicks Barrett. Kane gets on the apron, but Ziggler knocks him off. Ziggler now distracted, gets nailed with the "Bullhammer" by Barrett. There's a cover, a pinfall and Bad News Barrett is the NEW WWE Intercontinental Champion. After the match, Kane and Barrett celebrate.

- "Cena Appreciation Night" video highlights are shown.

- Backstage Segment with Roman Reigns hyping his match against Big Show tonight.

- Backstage Segment with Bray Wyatt hyping his "Ambulance Match" against Dean Ambrose tonight.

- The Ascension vs. Two Local Wrestlers: Another squash match as The Ascension hit the "Fall of Man" for the pinfall.

- Backstage Segment with Rusev and Lana ripping apart America and claiming that Vladimir Putin should be running the world.

- Roman Reigns vs. Big Show: Show hits a spear for a two count. Show works over Reigns with a slam, stomps and steps on top of Reigns. Reigns gets in some shots but gets caught in a bear hug. Reigns elbows out, hits some body shots, a clothesline and a samoan drop. Show dodges the "Superman Punch" and tosses Reigns to the floor. Show follows and fights with Reigns on the floor. Show hits Reigns in the face with the steel steps and gets DQ'ed. After the match, Show tries to hit Reigns with the steel steps again. Reigns spears Show and the steps land on Show's head. WWE Medical check on Show as Reigns escapes to fight another day.

- Nikki Bella vs. Nattie Neidhart: Paige watches from Nattie's corner. Nattie goes for the "Sharpshooter" early, but Nikki escapes. Paige and Brie Bella argue outside, distracting Nikki. Paige tosses Brie into the barricade as Nattie catches Nikki with a rollup on the distraction for the pinfall. After the match, Paige super kicks Nikki and celebrates with Nattie.

- Backstage Segment with Dean Ambrose hyping the "Ambulance Match" against Bray Wyatt tonight.

- Nice family condolences mention to ESPN sports analyst, Stuart Scott, who passed away Sunday morning. Very classy WWE.

- Erick Rowan vs. Luke Harper: Mercury and Noble come out in referee shirts and are announced by The Authority as the special guest referees for this match. Harper beats Rowan down in the corner. Rowan gets back into the match and plants a spin kick on Harper. Mercury and Noble refuse to count as Rowan makes the pinfall cover. Rowan yells at Mercury and Noble for not counting, turns back toward Harper and gets nailed with the Harper clothesline. Harper covers and both Mercury and Noble make the fast three count.

- We get another "Cena Appreciation Night" highlight video.

- A video is shown and we see Alicia Fox confront Naomi earlier in the day. Fox bragged about being on Total Divas and Naomi being taken off of the show. Fox attacks Naomi and slams her face first into a table.

- "Ambulance Match": Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose: Both men brawl around the ring at the bell. Ambrose tosses Bray over the announcers table, runs over the table, hits Bray and dumps him in the crowd. Bray regains offense and goes for "Sister Abigail", but Ambrose counters. Bray and Ambrose brawl around the ring some more, then brawl up the ramp to the stage by the ambulance. Bray throws Ambrose into the ambulance but before he can shut the doors for the win, Ambrose fights out. Ambrose throws a chair at Bray and leaps out of the back of the ambulance, taking Bray out. Ambrose tosses Bray into the ambulance but can't get the doors closed. Bray drives Ambrose face first into the ambulance door a couple times. Ambrose bounces off a stretcher and lands a clothesline on Bray.
Ambrose grabs the stretcher backboard and beats Bray senseless with it. Ambrose sets up a table next and lays Bray on it. Ambrose climbs on top of the ambulance roof, leaps off and drives Bray through the table with the elbow drop. Ambrose goes to put Bray in the ambulance, but Bray delivers "Sister Abigail" on Ambrose into the back of the ambulance. Ambrose fights out of the ambulance but catches a second "Sister Abigail" from Bray onto the floor. Bray throws Ambrose into the ambulance, closes both doors and picks up the win. The ambulance pulls away, sirens blaring as Bray laughs hysterically.

- "Mixed Tag Match": Naomi and The Usos vs. Alicia Fox, Damien Sandow and The Miz: Naomi goes at it with Fox to start the match. Miz and Jey Uso are in next and Miz gets a near fall with a neck breaker. Jimmy gets tagged in and unloads on Miz. Naomi takes out Fox as Jimmy is still unloading on Miz. Jimmy gets distracted by Naomi which allowed Miz to sneak in from behind and roll Jimmy up with a handful of tights for the pinfall.

- Ryback vs. Seth Rollins: Corporate Kane comes out and announces this match will now be a "Handicap Match", as Kane is putting himself in with Rollins. Ryback hits a "Thesz Press" and a splash on Kane for a near fall. Ryback hits a big boot and more splashes on Kane. Kane and Rollins go for the double team but Ryback gets back on offense and beats Rollins around the ring. Ryback tossed Kane to the floor then bench pressed Rollins to the floor. Rollins and Kane finally gain offense and hot tag back and forth on Ryback, slowing the big guy down. Ryback catches Rollins with a power slam, a back body drop and then plants him with a spine buster. Mercury and Noble try to distract Ryback but he hits the "Meat Hook" on Rollins. Kane gets involved and gets laid out by Ryback with "Shell Shock". While distracted with Kane, Ryback forgets about Rollins, who lands a "Curb Stomp" on Ryback. Rollins then hits a second "Curb Stomp" on Ryback, covers and scores the pinfall.

- Adam Rose vs. Big E: Back and forth match with a quick ending. Two of Rose's Rosebuds wearing masks get in the ring and attack Big E. causing the DQ. Big E gets beat down then the two mask guys unmask and reveal themselves to be Cesaro and Tyson Kidd.

- John Cena Appreciation Night Segment: Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are in the ring. Stephanie says John Cena knew that reinstating The Authority was best for business. Cena is called out and he heads out to the ring. Triple H tells Cena that he appreciates him from the bottom of his heart and thinks that Cena finally looks past "Hustle, Loyalty and Respect" and realizes what's best for business. Triple H calls out Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan who were apart of Team Cena at Survivor Series. Triple H says they all were thrown back into the fire when Cena reinstated The Authority. Triple H and Stephanie have a private discussion with each other then walk to the stage. The Authority announce that Rowan, Ryback and Ziggler, as punishment, are now fired and they can thank Cena for that. Music plays, Triple H and Stephanie kiss, balloons and confetti fall from the rafters and RAW closes out with Cena standing stunned at what just happened.

And that's a wrap on this week's RAW results, till next time tap or snap.

Weekend 3 Count 12/29 - 1/4 #WWE #TNA #GFW

By @B_Rock1978

The Weekend 3 Count is brought to you by Triple Threat CLE.

*** Weekend Flashback ***

- From now till the Royal Rumble, I'll be flashbacking to some of my favorite moments in the Royal Rumble. This week I picked four highlight videos of Royal Rumble endings that caused controversy.

- First up it's the 1994 Royal Rumble. Lex Luger and Bret Hart both go over the ropes to end the Rumble.

- Next up it's the 1995 Royal Rumble. Davey Boy Smith eliminates Shawn Michaels to win the Rumble......but wait......Michaels actually wins it.

- Next it's the 1997 Royal Rumble. Bret Hart eliminates Steve Austin but Austin still wins the Rumble.

- Finally it's the 2005 Royal Rumble. Batista and John Cena eliminate each other and the Chairman of the WWE, Vince McMahon, breaks a leg to restart the match.....literally.

*** WWE News and Rumors ***
- During RAW this week we seen new WWE World Tag Team Champions crowned, as The Usos defeated The Miz and Damien Sandow. The Usos are now 2-Time World Tag Team Champions.

- Also during RAW, Christian was announced as being retired. This is in fact true due to nagging injuries, Christian is in fact retired from the ring.

- And also on RAW, The Authority are back in charge again. John Cena was forced to agree to let Triple H and Stephanie McMahon return to TV to save Edge from getting his neck broken by Seth Rollins.

- UFC President, Dana White, recently commented on the rumors about Brock Lesnar coming back to the UFC. White has stated that they are in fact rumors and that he has not spoken to Lesnar in the past few months. Bellatar MMA have also made it known that they are interested in Lesnar but have not officially contacted Lesnar yet.

- Chris Jericho is still not expected to be at Wrestlemania 31 this year. Jericho's current contract states he'll make 15 appearances from January through February. Afterwards he'll be back on tour with Fozzy. On a side note that has nothing to do with wrestling but more to do with Jericho's band Fozzy. I seen Fozzy back in October at the Cleveland House of Blues. Awesome show, Fozzy puts on a great performance. If you're a fan of hard rock and metal, check Fozzy out. (Cheap pop for you Jericho, you're welcome sir.)

- Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan, is currently working on an autobiography. Bryan stated that it will be about the wrestling road diaries that he wrote during his travels with Colt Cabana and Sal Rinauro before he joined WWE in 2009.

- Daniel Bryan officially announced that he is cleared to come back to wrestle on this past week's RAW. Bryan will enter the 2015 Royal Rumble.

- Randy Orton recently had surgery on his nose, repairing a deviated septum. The injury is only a two week recovery. Reason why Orton hasn't returned to WWE TV as of yet.

- Sheamus is scheduled to make his return to the WWE soon, after being out due to surgery. There is some speculation that Sheamus may be a heel when he returns.

- It again appears that Rey Mysterio is done with the WWE. Sources have said that WWE originally came up with a storyline for Rey that would've started at Survivor Series and ended at Wrestlemania 31, but the idea was scrapped. Sources are saying that Rey is waiting for his release now so he can move on.

- WWE Hall of Famer and current commentator, Jerry "The King" Lawler was hospitalized this week. Lawler has been diagnosed with
diverticulitis and is expected to be released within the next several days.

- WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels, is ready to release a new book of his own. "Wrestling For My Life: The Legend, the Reality, and the Faith of a WWE Superstar" is scheduled to hit stores on February 10th. The book will be his second autobiography.

- NXT Diva, Sasha Banks, made her main roster debut this week on Main Event.

- NXT's Tyler Breeze had a dark match at a live WWE show this week.

- NXT will begin airing their shows on Wednesday nights starting January 14th. Obviously so it doesn't interfere with Smackdown which will make the Thursday night jump.

- I've noted a few times in the past that the WWE was possibly interested in signing Independent wrestler, Uhaa Nation. Sources are saying that both parties have agreed to a deal.

- Sources are saying that after the past issues with the way Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk have left the WWE, WWE is changing their performer contracts. The contracts now state that if a WWE Superstar is fired for disciplinary reasons, then they will forfeit all merchandise rights and can't work in pro wrestling or MMA for one year.

*** TNA News and Rumors ***

- TNA officially announced that Kurt Angle has re-signed with TNA...even though ex-WWE and TNA writer, Vince Russo, already announced it when Angle was on his podcast a few weeks back. Better late than never I guess.

- Ethan Carter III has signed a new contract with TNA, so we can expect him also into the new year.

- You can also add Mrrrrrrrrr. Anderrrrrrsssooonnnnn.......
Anderson, Abyss, Jessie Godderz and Madison Rayne to the new contracts signed list.

- Rob Terry has officially left TNA. Terry has been moved to the TNA alumni section on TNA.com. Also added to the alumni list were Bully Ray, Devon, Shark Boy, Rampage Jackson and Brittany.

- It was announced that the 2015 TNA Lockdown event will not be a pay per view this year. The event will be a made for TV pay per view that will be shown on Destination America. So far every match on the card is said to be "Steel Cage Matches".

- TNA has also stated that they may be out of showing pay per views on pay per view channels in 2015. In the past Lockdown and Bound For Glory were TNA's only pay per views left that you could purchase on pay per view. TNA has stated that all their pay per views will be shown on Destination America now for free.

- Sources were saying that TNA were thinking of going back to a traditional ring when they debuted on Destination America. But now with their Lockdown free pay per view coming up in January being advertised as "Six Sides Of Steel Cage Matches", that plan may have been scrapped.

- Former TNA Knockouts Champion, ODB, was interviewed this week. ODB was asked if she would consider coming back to TNA in the future. ODB stated that she's not wrestling anymore and is happy where she is with her life currently.

*** GFW News and Rumors ***

- Tonight is the big Wrestle Kingdom 9 pay per view, debuting Global Force Wrestling. I'll bring you the recap to the show Monday afternoon.

- Jeff Jarrett is currently in talks with Mexico's AAA promotion. Jarrett would like to hold the next GFW pay per view with AAA Mexico just like he's doing with Japan's NJPW in GFW's debut pay per view.

*** Other Wrestling News ***

- Some Lucha Underground news this week. According to Independent tag team, The Young Bucks, Lucha Underground offered the tag team a contract. The Young Bucks however were insulted on what they offered for a seven year deal, claiming it to be a lowball deal.

- Lucha Underground has also shown a huge interest in signing Jim Ross to do commentary for their second season of shows which will be tapped soon.

- Lucha Underground wrestler, Chavo Guerrero, recently stated that he has the inside scoop to Rey Mysterio. Mysterio, who may be leaving WWE soon, which I stated in WWE news above, may be heading to Lucha Underground. Chavo is expecting to start a feud with Rey as soon as Rey arrives in the company.

And that's this weekend's 3 Count. Join me every Sunday as I post news around WWE, TNA, GFW and around the wrestling world. Till next week, tap or snap.

Rollins calls out John Cena next to celebrate but Cena no-shows. Rollins says he's better than Edge. Edge says even if Rollins had a live sex celebration with Big Show he'd still never be as good as Edge. Rollins yells for John Cena to come out, but Cena still no-shows. Rollins says he'll force Cena to come out then. Rollins hits Christian with the briefcase as Show grabs Edge by the throat. Edge gets his face forced down on the briefcase and Rollins threatens to re-break Edge's neck with a "Curb Stomp" unless Cena comes out. John Cena finally runs out but Rollins keeps Edge held hostage and orders Cena to stop. Rollins orders Cena to either reinstate The Authority or else he'll "Curb Stomp" Edge and make him paralyzed.
Rollins reminds Cena that Edge has a wife and a baby and being paralyzed would be bad for their family. Rollins continues to taunt Cena and threaten to paralyze Edge until Cena finally caves in and says "Yes" The Authority can come back. Rollins goes to "Curb Stomp" Edge anyway, however, Cena tackles Rollins for the block, just in time. Cena fights off Rollins and The Stooges but gets hit with the knockout punch by Show. Rollins lands a "Curb Stomp" on Cena, laying Cena out. RAW closes out with Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Seth Rollins, Big Show, Mercury, Noble and finally the returning Triple H and Stephanie McMahon all on stage champagne toasting 2014 out and the rebirth of The Authority being back for 2015.

I want to say that tonight's RAW was pretty good. Ziggler and Rusev were used properly, both looking like legit champions. The debut of The Ascension was good, however, not sure the fans were into them like the NXT fans are. The Usos, 2-time tag team champions now. Brock Lesnar could've earned his paycheck a little bit more tonight, in my opinion. Countering a "AA" than staring down Cena was pretty weak. Daniel Bryan will be champion again in 2015, no doubt. And Seth Rollins pulled off some A+ sadistic heel moves tonight. BRAVO
And that's a wrap on this week's RAW results, till next time tap or snap.

By @B_Rock1978

Europe "The Final Countdown"

That is correct, it was in fact the final countdown for one of the two teams involved in last night's main event of Survivor Series. The Authority squared off with Team Cena in a traditional five on five elimination match. If The Authority lost, they would have to give up their control over the WWE. If Team Cena lost, everyone apart of Team Cena, except for John Cena, would be terminated from the company. Last night's show took place in St. Louis, Missouri, home of "The Viper" Randy Orton. Survivor Series also consisted of a traditional Survivor Series Elimination Divas Match. A.J. Lee defended her WWE Divas Championship against Nikki Bella. The Rhodes Brothers defended their WWE World Tag Team Championship in a fatal four way match. And Bray Wyatt battled Dean Ambrose. All that and more, let's get to last night's results!
